    The reason Pillars of Eternity 1 and DOS 2 are simply better than deadfire and DOS 1 is they had Chris Avellone writing. Instead of just more more generic adventure crap. All my favorites including fallout 2 have him in common. Also I'm pretty sure BG3 probably deserves the top spot now the full release is out.

      @comnenus9745 5 месяцев назад

      @@blakearius Yeah, pirates don't have anything to do with it. POE 2 is better than the first game for the very reasons that make New Vegas so good. I am not saying that POE 2 is as good as New Vegas, but I am saying that the interaction and role playing opportunities that you have with the factions of the deadfire combined with how the character classes help to tell the story of the world of POE 2 make it a great game for the same reasons that New Vegas is a great game. The first Pillars game treats factions and character development in a more conventional fashion, predictable even, whereas the second Pillars has many instances in which the game shows and doesn't tell and integrates the player into the story through the interaction of the factions and the way that the game provides character building.

      I heavily disagree, the armor system is one of the most bullshit and poorly designed systems ever, it heavily punishes having a varied party and iron fists you into going all in on either physical or magical damage. The loot system also sucked as basically every new zone on each map required a new tier of gear but the game never rewarded you with enough new gear to outfit you party, which would always leave you severely under geared which if you're unlucky enough could make certain encounters nearly impossible. All these things combined with the challenge of the game leads to what is a very frustrating combat experience that drags on as you spend hours trying to win a fight with your massively loosing hand.

    • @rose.i
      @rose.i Год назад

      @@SekiberiusWelkesh lol you're so butthurt first of all yeah the amor system isnt great but it doesn't discourage build variety at all you just need to make sure you somehow have at least 2 people in your party who can hit each one of the armor types or make a whole party with people who hit one type but those are the only guidelines and if you cant get creative within that framework then you're not thinking very hard ive done 3 playthroughs on tactician and in all of them ive had fun intersting and varied parties onto your second point again your complaint about the loot system being annoying is valid but its not nearly as bad as you make it out to be if you cant keep your party geared then youre either not exploring enough or not managing your money well enough to buy a few good items in town here and there ive never in 3 playthroughs on tactician hit a fight that i felt i couldnt finish because i needed better gear in fact ive often found its the opposite if i think things through i can usually come up with a plan thatll allow me to beat a fight i probably shouldnt have been able too with my current level and gear the combat system is very open ended GET CREATIVE
