    I passed my CCNA, working on devnet assoc atm, work for cisco, your video was great, I don't think I'll ever get a CCIE as my end goal is to be a devops engineer but I have mad respect for anyone who puts them selves through it :)

    I loved the video. I currently have a CCNP in Enterprise, and I am working towards achieving a 2nd CCNP in Service Provider this year. I am honestly trying to "over-study" in an effort to prepare for the CCIE in Service Provider at rhe same time. I look forward to more content.

    I came to this video to see what it would take to pass the CCIE written exam. It seems that as a CCNP 2022, I already passed it! NICE!!!

    I passed the 350-501 SPCore written exam 2 days ago (26/11/2022), and will now prepare for the lab exam using EVE-NG. The amount of reading and note taking is tremendous. I welcome the great advice given, so I shall take it onboard and prepare well. Much appreciated.

      Security will always have a future. Even apps in the cloud need to be secure. Moving to the cloud just changes where you apply the security.

    For the design part.. is it a multiple choice type of question?

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  2 года назад +1

      Cisco posts a description of the design section here: learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/article/ccie-practical-exam-format
      Based on that description, it seems that the design part is similiar to the Pearson Vue written exams. I passed the CCIE before this was added to the lab exam and so I have not seen it myself.

    Is that any benefit CCIE in 2022? Or Kubernates has more worth

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  2 года назад +9

      If you're asking about the CCIE DC vs learning Kubernetes, it depends on where you want your focus to be. Kubernetes is a software based orchestration platform for containerized microservices. The DC CCIE is focused on managing the infrastructure hosting Kubernetes. If your goal is to manage the containers and microservices, study Kubernetes. If you want to manage the infrastructure hosting data center applications including Kubernetes, study for the DC CCNP/CCIE.

    Do you think ccie security or ccie sd wan is worth more be taken in 2022 ? Thanks

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  2 года назад

      SD WAN would fall under the CCIE Enterprise. Both the Enterprise & Security CCIEs have their value. The Enterprise is the core of the network, and security is in high demand. Personally, I would say that Security is perhaps more valuable, if you are good on the networking fundamentals. The CCIE Enterprise certification makes up the largest group individuals who hold a CCIE and as I mentioned earlier, Security is in increasingly high demand. You can also become a CCIE x2 and get both.

    so the cisco path like CCIE will still be relevant in the next 5 years or so?

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  Год назад

      The CCIE will continue to be a relevant certification for the foreseeable future. It is also one of the few certifications that has not lost its value. Cisco continuously updates their certifications to meet the changing needs of the industry.

    sorry for this cheesy question rich , but between the two of us , is CCIE= job offer for sure ?

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  2 года назад +2

      I wouldn't say that anything is a guaranteed job offer. But having a CCIE will set you apart from someone who doesn't have one. You will still need to interview with the employer to present yourself and why you are the right person for the job in question.

    Isn’t the architect higher than the ccie?

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  Год назад

      The Cisco Certified Architect was retired in March 2021. It was a certification higher than the CCIE and if I remember correctly, it required having multiple CCIEs, then you had to be invited to apply for the CCAr certification, pass the testing and be approved by a certification board.

    Where can I look for CCIE books to study from?

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  2 года назад +1

      The CCNP Core and CCIE written are the same exam. So the first place to start would be the CCNP core exam books. I have linked to those books in the description.

    Sir, my professional activity is remote-- I don't physically touch hardware. To pass the CCIE R&S lab, do I need to physically touch hardware? Thank you!

    • @RichTechGuy
      @RichTechGuy  2 года назад

      While you don't need to physically touch hardware, you do need to have a lot of practice lab time for the CCIE practical (lab) exam. There are options to rent lab time with companies like INE. I personally like to use Cisco Modeling Labs, which is an excellent virtual lab environment that you can buy from Cisco. The personal license is $200/year and you need a system to run it. For a CCIE enterprise (Formally R&S) CML will have most of what you need to build out a practice virtual lab.
