Same with me, my dad always used to play it for me at that age, and I never really listened to it again until I was around 13, and it’s been my favorite band since

Hey, my daughter has 2 and a half years old. She's been listening to Metallica ever since she had 4 months old; in fact, she could only sleep listening to Enter Sandman (her favorite song), to the despair of her mother, every single nigth haha

This music video was my discovery of Metallica. When I was 6 the television was left on by my parents and a music video came on. And it was this. I was mesmerized lol

Mine was Enter Sandman at the radio. I was 5, and I didnt even spoke english back there. I only managed to regain them again with the internet years later, with almost 10 years, using... I dont even remember the name of the program that I used to download music back then. And I would only learn to speak english with 16 years lol

This song is actually based on the inner struggles we all face as intelligent human beings. That is to say that sometimes, more unfavorable sides of our nature want to take over. And the one which the narrator possesses is quite-clever indeed. For in addition to presenting himself as the person’s truest friend, he is also saying that with this person suppressing this side of his nature, he is not being true to himself. In other words, the inner voice states that it rather is the “real” one, while the life this person is living on the outside is the “mask” used to conceal his true personality.
You won't see any love song by Metallica, except "Nothing else matters".Great reaction!!! 🤘🏼🎶

This song GRINDS so perfectly. Give "American Badass" by Kid Rock a listen. He sampled this song to make his own bad-ass song.

The tune is about in inner demons, be it addiction or split personality etc, and is sung from the perspective of that demon how it controls person's life

Sad But True was my introduction to Metallica as a kid in the mid 90s. Up to that point, the heaviest song I'd ever heard was Balls To The Wall by Accept (another great song). I became a fan that very day and had to hear more.

This song is about a concept first described by the Swiss psychiatrist & psychoanalyst Carl Jung called the shadow, which is all the nasty, dark, aggressive, socially unacceptable parts of our personalities. The parts of ourselves that we don’t want to think about.

A beautiful & very philosophical song of inner struggles we all have. But you know it's going to be a killer when, Sean has got the stink face on & starting to head bang from just the intro. Hope you're considering checking out, the Unforgiven trilogy of songs.
Much love from the UK to everyone & hope it's a great day
