thanks!
Great!
YAHBLESS.............................!!!
Mr. Tyner gets all respect as one of the greatest pianists to ever live, but this is the period shortly after which he can't do what he once did, harmonically, physically, the blazing lines, the complex rhythmic workings -- Bartz was harkening to the 70's harmonic explorations and mcCoy's comping couldn't even step out -- this is a shadow of his greatness... luv the tune, luv the man's body of work -- biggest influence on me - but it pains me to hear him like this-where are those clips from 74?
WOW !!!
@k4kafka
I think you might of missed it!
We are all clowns.
Also the tradition of the clown is a DEADLY serious thing..check it out.
Anyhow what the hell is that comment got to do with MUSIC?
2:32 Interesting place for a cymbal
Gary Bartz: so talented, yet so neglected by Jazz audiences.
I have to agree that McCoy isn't at his pianistic peak anymore. I think Kenny Barron does a better "McCoy" than McCoy can do right now, He's become a caricature of himself.
That said "Reaching Fourth" kicks everyone in the *ss.
