I recently started running into this issue couple of weeks ago. Not only this but audio skipping back to the beginning like phantom beat looping back to the starting point every 15-20 seconds
Hi there, no unfortunately not, I rolled back to Windows 10 for now. I believe Pioneer mentioned it has something to do with the Windows scheduler but didn't go into any great lengths of detail
I have one solution but it's inconvenient.. I'll always have the program in administrator mode. and it won't cause that problem anymore. but you won't be able to drag the songs directly to the program
same issue i have, one trick i also discovered if you want to download something from yt, you need to have chrome in windowed mode and the skipping sound will not appear. rekordbox has to run in the backround always
You would need to redownload windows 10 media from the windows website. Sound like you deleted the partition or the 10 installation. If I was you and you can move your music I would go for a fresh install of Windows 11. If you do letme know how you get on
@@tkpdjs Do not go into win 11 TKP and whole other guys hehehe when they launch 12 we go 11 lol I did the fresh install to 11 but no response, same problem. I had this problem to on mine glad I'm only one . I seemed to have a fix well it stops the stuttering when minimising . I clicked into buffer settings and found the correct driver which my laptop used for my deck . Right clicked in properties and set the driver to run as administrator. That worked .
Hi, I have the same Problem. Here is the answer that Pionner gave to me. "Basically, we don't guarantee the performance of rekordbox when you use other application along with rekordbox because other applications could affect the performance of rekordbox. According to the engineering team, there is a possibility the behavior of Task scheduler on Windows 11 is changed from Windows 10. It seems that the priority of the process running in background is lower comparing Windows 10. The engineering team investigated the issue, but they don't find the solution so far. Audio processing task is already most prioritized in rekordbox and we don't have a way to more prioritize it when running in background. Unfortunately, it is a matter of operating system not possible to control with application. The issue may be improved if Microsoft change the behavior of Task Scheduler in subsequent Windows updates. Currently, we recommend to roll back to Windows 10 if you want to use other applications while playing on rekordbox. Regards, Gabriel Pioneer DJ Support "
Sorry for the late reply, I've not found a fix yet.. still running windows 10. One thing I have noticed, people with windows 11 laptops pre install don't seem to be facing this issue. Unless someone can prove me wrong

Thank you for contacting us at Pioneer DJ and I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your DJ setup.
According to our engineering team, there is a possibility the behaviour of the Task scheduler on Windows 11 has changed from Windows 10.
It seems that the priority of the process running in the background is lowered compared to Windows 10. So some performance issues would happen when minimizing the rekordbox window or using other applications while using rekordbox.
This is something we can not fix at this moment as sadly this is connected with Windows 11 Operating System behaviour and not the rekordbox application.
I am sorry we couldn't be more helpful on this occasion. Best Yves Pioneer DJ
@@BananaBeach519 yes this was the very same response I had last year. Ultimately this would need to go to Microsoft. So I've been helping out another DJ and they purchased a brand new laptop win 11. Rekordbox runs with no issues. I'm now starting to wonder if we need to fresh install.🤔

I have the same problem this is the reply from pioneer. rekordbox 6 is heavier than rekordbox 5 and probably other DJ software as well, hence it looks like the PC is not handling rekordbox and other apps at the same time. Your PC has Nvidia graphics card and Intel graphics card, so you could try disabling the Nvidia driver to see if the issue improves. Please follow the steps below to disable the Nvidia graphics driver. 1. From Start Menu > Control panel > Device Manager, open Display adapters. 2. Select the Nvidia chip and right click it to open the menu. 3. Select "Disable device". Please also try Troubleshooting audio noise in Windows I ran Latencymon and it suggests that the problem is with the Pioneer drivers
I will give this a go, i've since reverted back to windows10 and called it a day as within pioneer's original response it was related to the windows scheduler. The issue I may have disabled the nvidia driver is because I also stream via OBS and use my gpu to push video preventing less stress on the cpu. thank you for the suggestion I will deffo give it ago

Seems to be a lot of things that can’t be explained with rekordbox/windows 11. Let me know if you find a fix for that!

Turn on the "PC MASTER OUT", and if the sound outputed from the PC is botering you just mute the PC volume and keep the volume from your DJ hardware
Will give this a try, thanks
