    In light of the ongoing global economic crisis, it is crucial for everyone to prioritize investing in diverse sources of income that are not reliant on the government. This includes exploring opportunities in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the challenging economic situation, it remains a favorable time to consider these investments.

      The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

      Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.

    The US economy cannot survive without continuous credit and debt creation. The FED will print more money and the average American will go just that much further in debt. Meanwhile, foreigners lust for the greenback. Their economies are in worse condition than the US... if that's even possible. Someone is going to be left holding the bag...

      Gold might crash in a liquidity crunch, but many precious metal holders are prepared for this and unlikely to be forced sellers. The paper market would tank and possibly collapse. Hearing from an experienced investor who has overcome adversity is motivating. It can be scary when your portfolio turns red, but if you've invested in strong companies, stick to your goals and continue growing them

      Every company I order high pressure valves and tubing (15k psi) from is having trouble getting material. They use mostly cold worked 316 Stainless Steel.
      I hear it's largely because of sanctions on russian critical materials used by stainless foundrys in Europe.

    Australia stopped selling iron to China a while ago and switched to other buyers. Xi banned Australian imports in a dispute and that broke all the long term contracts. We were free to sell elsewhere. Steel works are being expanded across south and south east Asia. This expansion may curtail with this down turn but it means we need to be tracking India, Vietnam and Malaysia as well as China. Xi has burned the few national advantages that China ever had: Labour is no longer cheep and mobile. Their new infrastructure is falling apart because of corner cutting and capital confiscation makes them an unsafe partner. This kills China but not the rest of Asia. So if a recovery comes with changes of government in several countries we can expect a growth but not this year. Cheap iron and steel is actually very good news if you are a developing country that is a net importer, i.e. most of Africa.

    TATA Steel This week... Carbon emissions ..convert to scrap sreel
    The company has said that Port Talbot’s blast furnace operation was incurring losses of £1m a day and was financially unsustainable.
    It is also the largest polluter in Wales. The blast furnaces emit around two tonnes of carbon dioxide for every tonne of steel they produce.
    It is estimated that Wales’ overall emissions will be cut by 15 to 20% with the closure of the furnaces.
    The company will build an electric arc furnace to produce steel by melting scrap metal, with construction set to begin in August 2025.
    The process will take several years to complete, and will require far fewer jobs to operate than the traditional blast furnaces.

    Jeff has been singing the "Globally Synchronized" China doom nonsense for four years. It's beyond pathetic at this point.
    On Emil's channel, video titled "Reading China Tea Leaves", start the video at 35:00 and let the laughs begin. Since that day, 6/20/20, SPX +2100 points, TLT -66 bucks a share, USO +51.
    I could go on and on about how incredibly incorrect Jeff has been on just about, if not, everything. Instead I will ask...at what point are you man enough to admit you were wrong Jeff?

      @slkttop 2 месяца назад

      @@wagashiohagi OK so I did, my friend. X is a ticker, a stock, it is not the price for a commodity. Has nothing to do with this conversation. It fell so far in 2008 that it is still 80% off its 2008 peak of $187, and looks not poised to ever recover that share price. Fell to $4 in 2020 which is why it is up such a high percentage today, which is easy to do, from almost zero. It still hovers at only $42. So, what is your point? that stock share price is not the price of steel.

    • @wagashiohagi
      @wagashiohagi 2 месяца назад +1

      @@slkttop The performance of one of the largest steel companies in the world has nothing to do with a conversation about "Steel Prices Crashing"? Wow.
      If you read what I wrote...since Jeff has been proclaiming his nonsense China end of the world doom in mid 2020, X, the best known steel company in the US, has increased by over four hundred percent.
      Therefore, my point, is that Jeff's "thesis" has been proven an absolute failure, over and over again. He has been wrong about Inflation, Bonds, Gold, Oil, Recession, Steel, Copper, Stocks, Fed Pivot/Rates etc etc. He isn't man enough to say "I was wrong" because he thinks he's smarter than everyone else, despite his job title of "Full Time RUclipsr".

    You need to really educate yourself about China. China is not collapsing but shifting its economy priorities from supporting property developers to supporting a domestic market and investing in high end manufacturing. In regards to Australia it is already in Recession. Australia has 2 trillion dollars foreign debt, high unemployment and high inflation. China is decreasing its import of iron ore from Australia and increasing buying iron ore from Brazil. The fact you just regurgitate mainstream media from Australia with no proper research is astonishing. Roy Morgan Research will tell you how bad Australia unemployment rates really are. China, Russia, Brazil and others countries are doing well while US,UK,Australia, Canada, New Zealand and many European countries like Germany are in Recession. Welcome to the multipolar world.

My primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about £170k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
