Excellent technical explanation. I beg Supreme court to verify this explanation, and then ensure that the citizen's vote is valid. The Supreme court has the responsibility to save our democracy. Electronic integrity of EVMs is not established, nor is anything being done about it. Forget about the other two aspects of this voting process - administration and social obligation to the citizen. We will never see the daylight. Suggest all software techies to take this issue forward in the interest of our country

You are so right. One of the arguments that came up was its too time consuming. it's not like we vote and the next day we get results now with the EVM . Counting ballot papers in the past and waiting for votes recorded in evm's to be tallied same amount of time . Election being held over 7 or 8 phases in a state is crazy. This is a sensible talk. In India, the EVM system of voting has become highly controversial. There is no transparency in the system. Once the vote is cast, the voter has no means to know whether his vote has been actually gone to the intended candidate. Now, there is a big hue and cry, and the government has come up with an amendment. This amendment takes away the right of the voters to know the truth. But, the authorities do not care for the concern of the people. It is unbelievable that a particular party wins most of the elections including the general elections. The recent elections held in Haryana and Maharashtra raise very serious questions. As long as the BJP wins the elections, our mainstream media doesn't raise this issue. It is a strange development. The best way to conduct elections is through the paper ballots even if it takes a little long to declare the final out. That will give satisfaction to the people that their votes have been duly counted.
If EVMs are not manipulated, it is replaced in large scale loaded with votes for BJP. Why the govt doest want to share the video of EVM storage places? Why ECI and judges who are BJP agents dont want to count 100% VVPATs?

The Evm and ECI in India is Both are defective and Easily Temperable, Which has till date there is mo any Authentication/Certification from Respected agency.90%of modi 's win are of Both of this man and machine.. Transparency is not even 1%.
Actually there are 1 lac 20k EVM's Manufactured, of which 1Lac EVM's are Handed over to the ECI ( Election commission of India) the 20k are manipulated & replaced @ the time of COUNTING. No wonder their BATTERIES Show 90/98% charge.
If the explanation given by Mr Deshpande here ,EC should take action against him .
