I know what your going through. Almost 6 years ago I was involved in a hit and run. Needless to say my dashcam saved me by proving it wasn't my fault. That is why all my cars have dashcams. They are a lifesaver and worth it. This is why I especially enjoy my new Tesla for the safety and the dashcam / cameras built in. 😎👍🏻

I agree. I would like to know what’s it like to drive to another state for instance. How far does it go before you have to charge up and all. I am wanting to get one but my family lives out of state and I guess that concerns me for some reason

Charging network could and will be expanded but just the ease of pulling up and plugging in and relaxing is soooo simple

With everyone using Tesla chargers in the near future we must have, at the least, double the chargers we have now. And unless we go even further we need more range. Range of course is what keeps us from having to charge more often this opening up more chargers.

Get the y it has way more space I was going to get the model 3 but the room was the difference maker in my decision. Best of luck make the right choice lol oh and the funny part is I don’t even have a family yet and still ended getting the model y

Do you know if the 2023/2024 models of the Model Y already have LFP batteries?
I believe the standard should have, but they launched a long range now rwd and I am not sure if that has an LFP battery as well.
They are not LFP. I agree they should be but they are not. Only the SR Model 3 is LFP
My 2023 RW standard base model is LFP. My 2023 Long Ranger Model Y is not LFP
Great video! Looking at getting a Model Y Performance as a second and larger car. Currently have a '23 Model 3 Performance. Would you have rather completed your cross-country road trip in the Model Y instead of the Model 3?
Awesome!! Honestly, if we’re trying to get there as fast as possible, our long range 3 has 358 miles of range and charges like a beast. But with a dog or more than 2 people, absolutely the Y. We’re driving to Chicago again next month and taking the Y 😁

I wish it has a blind side monitoring on side mirrors just like most cars nowadays. And also the back up monitor so it lets you know if theres a car or person behind while backing up.

Hey! Definitely will be cheaper at home. Depends what your rates are, but an estimate, it’s about 1/5th the price of gas by charging at home.

Hello, new here so glad I came across your video. I had the Tesla model 3 sadly it was totaled I am looking into getting the model y next … but want to know how tall is your wife? I am. 5 ft so I’m wondering if my height would be an issue driving it … is she comfortable driving it? Thank you in advance !
Hi! Thanks for watching 😁 she’s 5’2”, no issues at all! In fact, she much prefers it over the 3 because she can actually sit higher and see more. The Tesla has “easy entry” which will put your seat whatever height you want to get in/out of the car, and then will automatically change to your driving position once you start driving.

Yes, but not significantly. At home charging is about 1/5 the price of gas for most.

The rates are different based on location and time! Honestly anywhere from $15-30 for a full charge is my best estimate

Depends! If you leave with full, you can get to LA with no stops, but you’ll be pretty close to empty

It all depends. But that’s the exact reason we got the Y also and don’t regret one bit. If you’re not in immediate need, maybe wait for the refresh?

You did not mention about insurance. In California, the least for this model y would be at least $4k per year for full coverage.
Our insurance is way less than this, we have a whole video on it
What about the total bill at the end of the month. What about the insurance on it. Need a brake pedal. Auto not 100% safe. What happens when the batteries explode on the highway

@@vegasteslafamily I watched a video last night about China having EV batteries exploding every day. Two years they had over 3000 EV fire. Last year it wasn't as bad. People don't think about other countries that has more EV than North America

I have a RW 2022 Model 3 here in Colorado Springs. While it has served me well - I am finally upgrading to the 2024 Model Y long range. I drive for Uber fulltime and the Model 3 just doesn't have the space needed for an Airport trip sometimes. Furthermore, the Rear Wheel model, while good in the snow it's not great either. I will be looking forward to seeing how AWD Model Y does in the snow. The Model Y's I do see driving during those events, seems to be just fine. Lastly, before venturing into the EV world I had a Nissan Rogue and I miss being in a SUV a lot. RW Model 3 was fine but I cannot wait till next week when I finally get the 2024 Model Y Long Range.

If you don't keep a car forever i would still wait for the Juniper refresh. This update will make your used car value soar. Don't let these Tesla fan boys convince you otherwise. Better batteries in juniper, better ride, better seats, better interior, better cameras, better computing power and the list goes on. I'm waiting.

Actually people are not all the way lying when they say it takes hours to charge it actually depends on the weather if it's freezing cold outside then yeah it's going to take a long time to charge if it's really nice and warm outside it's just going to take a lot less time to charge as if with any electric car for that matter
We’ve taken a cross country trip in negative temps - we consumed more energy driving but charge rates were the same. Especially with preconditioning. Never more than an hour at any charger ever for us
Do you car need internet plan to function for Sentry Mode? Maintenance like change air filter will it void warranty if we change in 3rd party mechanic?
No interned needed for sentry! Air filter changes will not void warranty - we did it ourselves, super easy

I charge overnight in my garage every day, I spend 100% less time at a gas/charging station daily than everyone else
@@vegasteslafamily Charging every day at home. Your power bill probably a little higher than normal. Your Charging stations is hook up to your main power box. The meter outside read by your power company every month. If you own a air conditioning system it hard on power. All your electronics. It all adds up
