This made cry and realize the greatness of Rubinstein. I would've love to see at least a bit of his performances when he was younger. I can now image why he was so adored by the piano interpreters.
There's many recordings of him when he was younger. The earliest recording of him is from 1910. He started seriously recording in the 1930s when he was in his 50s

Everyone plays Chopin improperly, but this old guy knows what's up "You're making too much of it" "Too pompous" "TA TA TA is not Chopin, that's for Liszt" He knows everyone oversentimentalizes Chopin's music and gives no fucks as to his tempo or rhythm markings and play it like they wrote it
Le dice que tiene técnica en abundancia. Ése solo elogio deberia ponerlo contento viniendo de Rubinstein. Trabaja la parte emocional de la pieza. Una maravilla
Since I saw this great lesson, I always notice if pianists play that notes as an "espression of the melody", articulating them and making feel the sadness , or as an "abbellimento", fast and with accent, losing meaning. And many ones play in the second way...

Straordinario...

Totally agree! It’s really wonderful to see this. Thanks for posting👍👍
Il Maestro, ha ringraziato lo studente....meraviglioso ❤

Sing and simple, no exaggeration. Beauty is not in exaggeration, but in small noble expression.

Bellissimo! Un tocco fantastico anche a quella età
Documento prezioso. Thank you for posting this!
Nothing to add to Greatness of Maestro...I smile at the face of the young pianist...he is so nice and concerned...
Meravigliosa COMMOVENTE EMOZIONE...!

Ta ta ta is wrong even with Liszt. Especially with Liszt. It's the mood how the bad pianist play Liszt music.
Maravilloso.
Rubinstein, about 91 years old? I am glad to see this video.
*BELOVED RUBINSTEIN!*

I love this man
Mi maestro favorito!
After watching Zimermman play this i simply can't be impressed. Zimermman is just perfection in Chopin.
BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grazie per questo bel video!
Grazie a te!:)
Mi ha commosso
Tragica, the maestro cannot see his beloved instrument to express….
Divino
Chopin rivive in lui!!
Chopin, the best!

an indescribable feeling for sure!
I liked the language Rubinstein is speaking very attractive, can someone tell me what language he speaks:)
