Actualy (2022) You can create new user on SRM and layter give that user admiun rights on SRM 1.2 or SRM 1.3 but tu accees via SSH on SRM 1.2. You need to turn on Admin user and set that user strong passwword to get root acces to console via ssh, on SRM 1.3.1 SRM users with admin rights ar had root accces to sudo grout and can works as root on ssh
