Just found your channel and love following younger people working hard to retire early and live their best life. New sub here. You doing some great things with your dividend investments. We didn’t hear about the FIRE movement until 5 or 6 years ago, but we did many of the same things earlier in our life and were able to retire at 55. We started a channel and plan to travel the world the next 20 years and hopefully we can inspire people like to keep going. Cheering for you, John and Bev
That is hilarious. Yes, we were at Leo’s for 4 days around Thanksgiving and had a great time. We plan to go back next winter because we missed out on going to Dry Tortugas. We live about 4 hours away near Stuart.
Working towards FIRE! I watch a few couple talk about FIRE and retirement on RUclips and your guys are easily the best and you're natural on camera. Will be subscribing!
Love your content, we are nearing the end of our working phase and moving into our retiring phase soon. This content is Amazing and everyone that willing to start listening to you guys in their 20's or any age will be better off financially. Thank you.
@@gabandbren Yoga, hiking, surfing, tones of travel in Nicaragua and around the world, some volunteer work...and we will also have time for relaxation (LOL).
Great video! We reached our Freedom number at 33 years old! Keep chasing the dream, It is worth it! Congrats and I became a sub because I can't wait to watch your journey!
Wow that is awesome, 33 sounds so young! But we've still got 10 years to get there so who knows we might beat ya! 😉 Always inspiring to hear about other people's FIRE journey's so thanks for sharing!
Thanks! If you can yes it's typically better to start earlier, but we think even more powerful is creating an investing plan and sticking with it. Any amount you are able to set aside will pay dividends down the road :)
Most companies pay out 4 times a year, but some are monthly and some annual. Our portfolio yields about 250 dividends a year in total (at least one every few days 😎) BUT can be more or less depending on how many companies you own!
@@gabandbren In a way it was during the lockdown that I had a lot of time thinking about my life trajectory financially and I’m so glad I found this DURING the lockdown 🙏🏾👌🏾👍🏾
So powerful you are doing this so early. I suggest you take a look at JL Collins’ book The simple path to wealth. If you want to grow your RUclips channel, take a look at Joseph Carlson’s, he was literally able to create a second job for himself because he talks (very well) about the market and his picks; it seems this is a topic that is heavily sought this days. Personally I don’t buy individual stocks so I’m all with passive investments with Vanguards ETFs. Good luck!
Have used Vanguard in the past but switched to M1 Finance about a year ago. Will be doing a future video on what makes it our favorite broker so make sure to stay tuned!
Thank you so much! It's never too late to start your own investing journey! Here's a video on how we picked our investments, hope it helps :) ruclips.net/video/TdTBEeolAxg/видео.html
What we should've said is nobody really wants to HAVE to work. Our goal is to gain financial freedom and be able to do the type of work we enjoy, not have to clock in for a paycheck. But it's up to the individual what to do with that freedom 😄
Why do you make every statement sound like a question? It makes you sound ignorant. Just talk. Don't try so hard. Use caution with MMM. He was from a privileged family and college experience. He doesn't disclose the income from his business of selling "FIRE". He's NOT retired and keeps a demanding lecture schedule, book, Blog, VLog, and even a motion picture production. Also, his wife is fully employed. He does have sound advice for frugal living. He also is able to afford to live in an area of his city that is cycling friendly. The other 99% of the population do not have his privileges. DRIP investing is good but does take a significant nest egg to be able to generate income you can live off of. You have a good start. Good luck.
Thanks for the feedback! The great part about financial independence is being ABLE to retire, but not necessarily having to. Also, we have used many different sources to develop our FIRE strategy and MMM is just one we wanted to share for inspiration! We would love to hear if you have any recommendations for other investing strategies, as we are always looking to continue to learn!

Thanks so much! Just checked out your channel and your story is inspiring. Love to see the similarities between us! 😄
ALSO! Did you recently stay at Leo’s campground in Key west? That where we live and I (Gaby) swear I saw your airstream!!

Awesome guys! I just got my dividends to $232.64 a year or $0.02 every hour lol. But it’s a start!
Love to hear it! We even have our numbers broken down to the minute, although it's not a full penny yet 😂 Keep us posted with how it's going!

Love the chemistry you have in front of the camera! Keep up the good work 🙂 I’m on the road to FIRE as well and love my dividends 🔥
Appreciate it, thanks Andreas! One of our goals is to spread more awareness about dividends so that's great to hear!

I love this so much! Working to build our dividend portfolio now.
Thanks! Just gunna keep grinding, make sure to check back to see our progress in upcoming videos! 😊
All about that passive income baby! I’ve never heard of DGI before but now I gotta 😳 how often do you get these dividends?

I think Andrei Jikh is the biggest DGI youtuber. Check him out, hes funny :)
Another great video, thank you for sharing. My hubby and I too invest in dividends.
Thanks! How long have you been investing? We're still early on but can't wait until we can see more compound interest at work!
Boom! You put in the work here and the results followed.
Thanks Zach! All about starting small and letting compound interest do the work!
I just started investing this EXACT way this year and I’m 20 years old
Wow that's awesome! Future you will not regret it!

Where’d you get the spreadsheet template to track growth?
Brendan actually creates everything himself! (with a few inspirations from other videos 😉)
How is the Pie performing? Can you share a link to it?
