Wow. You know, I've never been to Yemen. But I grew up in Saudi Arabia for 18 years, over the border. I'm a westerner. This music has enough western influences to not seem alien to me, and enough Arabian influences to transport me home. A-Wa music is very emotional for me. I'm so grateful for their existence. Especially the lyrics of this song, they speak to me.
*”Mudbira” is a Yemenite colloquial word which means “miserable” or “misfortunate” for a female. The song talks about the struggle of a young woman. In any case, I’m so glad you’re finally back!!! Amazing 😉 song for sure. 👀’n for more to come* 😘👍
Doesn't it also mean "contriving" or someone who handles/manages a situation in Arabic? That's the impression I get from the video and lyrics as well where they use their "skills" to deal with the men and their situation

Mona Möller *I know they both almost sound alike. The word you’re talking about is “Mudabirah” which mean “contriving” or “improviser” for a female. But the word they used here is “mudbira” which I think is only unique to Yemenite colloquial meaning “miserable” or “unhappy” for a female.*
