This is a good move. I have always failed to understand why the government grants visas to the spouses of primary applicants. If they cannot afford to live in Canada financially, they should never have come to Canada. This has been the main reason why the student permit has been abused.
Can I apply for a PGWP extension due to passport expiry along with SOWP? I was issued 16 months of PGWP so eligible for another 20 months if my application is approved. I’m asking because it states that when applying for a SOWP, the principal applicant must have at least 16 months left on their work permit.
