I was stationed in Nuremburg in 70 - 72 and am still in awe of the beauty, the architecture and the German way of life. Here in America, as soon as a building gets old we tear it down and build something cheap.
So it has been in Brazil for decades... Starting very slowly to preserve history! I Love Bavária!
No we dont. Both North and South America have hundreds of thousands of historic buildings and houses going even all the way back to our Brittish Colonial days that are preserved. I have no idea why you dont see them.. or else, you have not traveled all that much in North and South America, so as not to have seen the hundreds of thousands of preserved historic homes and buildings... and even hundreds of preserved Parks in the US., that through preservation look the same as they did thousands/ millions of years ago..
Its your way of live, nothing bad about it. You re a teenage nation. In europe, we have millions of frontdoors, older than the usa😂. Europe is old and the roots of the usa are in europe. So press on and don t repead the BS we did, the reason, why millions of europeans created the usa.

I was only supposed to stay in Germany 2 years but I extended it to the maximum of 4 because this country is the most beautiful, PRODUCTIVE, competent, wise, and realistic in the World. I live in the USA but nothing here is as comparable as to what the German people can create, very detailed, professional, best products, best social living! And not to mention the Porsche 911 s I brought home with me does the job and increases in value. Cant say that about a Chevy. Germany is the model country we all could learn from. Love you Germany!!!!!!! I Miss you.
Ok I had to edit my comment due to the replies below. First off most Germans would have completely understood what I meant, and that is due to American naive and lazy culture,,, not to mention Germans are taught to be level headed in finding the truth in all things. Ok the products such as a Porsche and Chevy being compared, yes they are apples and oranges, the trouble is the Chevy, like most American products are substandard worldwide, the evidence is clear as most Americans either drive a Japanese car or a German car. American cars if labeled would be Bad Apples worldwide. That is because they (German or Japanese) are of higher quality and perform much better whether it is around town driving or on the race track. it doesnt matter if its a camera or a pencil, the higher quality in German products is so easily seen. My first year in Germany was difficult as I could not keep up, but I learned a great deal of how to keep up through through respect, listening and learning ways to do things with thought, thinking it completely through, unlike American brute mass production of cheap products.
People mentioned the immigration problem, we all know the careless USA military action in the middle east caused this and absolutely no one is to blame for this except the USA government.
The other comments about the USA losing friends and allies is 100 percent true for all these reasons, USA has turned into a world loud mouth bully. delivers cheap non functional products and charges 3 times the price. then demands other countries to follow. What BS. The few Problems Germany has can be traced back to the USA. I dont blame them for distancing the USA, its a very wise decision.

@Squirmin Herman the one eyed German idk, mustang gt350 and ford gt are pretty comparable if not quite as well appointed. there are a bunch of people on the yt who left the 911 for the gt350. German cars are bred on the autobahn tho, pretty hard to beat that.

Germany is indeed a mesmerising country. The architecture, the views and the landscapes are stunning + the environment is extremely clean.
Ich bin so froh hier zu leben und Bürger dieses Landes zu sein. Ich finde den Gedanken traurig das in ein paar Jahrzehnten, wenn es überhaupt noch so lange dauert, nichts mehr oder nur noch wenig von unserer Heimat, so wie sie jetzt ist und unseren Werten zu erkennen sein wird.

I was fortunate to be stationed in Augsburg from 1972 - 1974 in the U.S. Army. We traveled Bavaria extensively. When my wife and I divorced, she kept all the photos we took. I'm enjoying watching videos of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
That´s so nice to hear! My grandma was once in Arizona and met soldiers who were in Southern Bavaria and said how much they loved the people and culture.

Du Glücklicher wohnst gleich ums Eck, für mich sind es bis Bayern gute 3,5 Stunden, und dann bin ich erst in Würzburg ;) Kommt man nicht so schnell rum, aber einiges steht auf meiner "Reise-Liste". Dafür bin ich in 1,5 Stunden an den Externsteinen und am Hermannsdenkmal ;)

Die alte Bautechnik und Architektur bleibt unübertroffen ❤ die heutigen Architekten sollen sich hier mal ein Beispiel nehmen.
Первое, что приходит на ум при упоминании Баварии: сосиски, пиво, виноградники. И да - горы. И Сиси, конечно. Думаю, что не только у меня такие ассоциации, отчасти это бренд.
Но вот я вижу Баварию с высоты птичьего полета и ЭТО СОВСЕМ ДРУГАЯ Бавария. Восхитительная, неописуемо красивая! Современность на крепком фундаменте из наслоений истории. Величие и простор памятников и парков, архитектурные шедевры, украшенные скульптурными дополнениями, римский дух. Оказывается, баварцы любители, ценители и создатели КРАСОТЫ. Трудолюбие и тонкий вкус. Искушенность и талант. И педантичность в лучшем значении этого слова, когда каждая мелочь имеет значение. Я восхищена!
Спасибо автору за то, что вместо слов звучит музыка - оркестр, хор и голос, лучше сказать было бы невозможно.

Bavaria is truly the most beautiful area in Central Europe. Sadly the other German states failed to rebuild their beautiful cities after the war, creating cities in central and western Germany with little character like cologne, Frankfurt and Braunschweig that have lost their traditional buildings and therefore beauty; the only way to go back and create the beautiful space that once existed, is by rebuilding these once beautiful war-torn cities.
I also hope they do, Frankfurt did a good start, but it´s not enough.

In einer Diskussion mit so nem Linksliberalen hab ich mal ne ähnliche These vertreten. Die Reaktion darauf war sinngemäß "hä, wiedervereinigung war doch in den 80ern"...
Armin Von Bretternitz Danke für Ihre Antwort. Leider gibt es solche Menschen, die weder ahnen noch wissen, was dieses wirklich bedeutet. Die Deutschen, die nicht verrieben wurden und unendliches Leid zu ertragen hatten, wurden bei dieser sogenannten Deutschen Einheit vollkommen vergessen.
Ich habe noch nie diesen Tag Gefeiert, mit dem Wissen das es noch wichtige Menschen und Gebiete gibt, die unter fremden Joch Leben müssen und sich nicht zur Ihrer Heimat und Ihrem Volk bekennen können.
O Bi Ja, die Polen muessen zurueck an die Elbe und die Saalle, von wo sie vor 1000 Jahren von den barbarischen Germanen vertrieben wurden. Der Name "Dobrogora" ist aelter als der Name "Halle".

Wenn die Regierung scheiße baut, fällt es IMMER auf die Bevölkerung zurück. Die Regierung von Nazi-Deutschland hat aus niederen Rachegelüsten unmenschliche Gräueltaten und unsägliche Verbrechen begangen, die ihresgleichen suchen. Natürlich ist es scheiße, dass eben auch viele Deutsche vertrieben wurden im Zuge des Krieges, aber das ist die Essenz eines jeden Krieges. Die eine Partei vertreibt Menschen, daraufhin vertreibt die andere Partei Menschen der ersteren Partei.

I am from Bavaria, all my ancestors lived here and my wife is also a local - her family tree goes back to 1350 and all descendants without exception lived in their hometown near the Alps. I could never live anywhere else but here.
Bayern ist wirklich sehr schön . Als Kind bin ich in den sechzigern von Berlin aus mit dem Roten Kreuz in den großen Ferien nach Passau gereist . Meine Eltern hatten nicht das Geld um zu verreisen damals und dann haben sie uns Kinder halt über das Amt Berlin oder Rote Kreuz verschickt in die Ferien. Damals gab es richtig Hochwasser in Passau. Donau, Inn und die Ils werde ich als Berliner und Spreeathener nicht vergessen. Schön war die Zeit.
