I remember playing MLB 2K10's MyPlayer mode, and created a 7 foot-tall catcher. The reason behind it was, "well, if the guy is 7 feet-tall, there will be less wild pitches". Yeah, it was an interesting time.
Back when i have a Xbox 360 and not a PS3 and my god i enjoyed soo munch playing this game!! I played like 12 seasons in my career and never got bored or tired!! Soo many good memories!!! Then finally got a decent job at Walmart to make enough money to purchase the 'Next Gen Consoles' PS4 and got the upgrade and move to MLB the show 14 with Miguel Cabrera of the cover.
Really wish you got figure out pitching. Its very satisfying to succeed on the higher difficulties and especially work your way up in career mode with it on this game.
if I'm not wrong, back on the Xbox when I played this game you could auto upgrade an attribute with the bumper or the trigger instead of just moving each skill point
Lb and rb rounds bases / go back (press 2x for second, 3x for third, 4 for home) or right analog stick (down home, right for first, etc.) Also, rb/ lb fills your skill point up a full bar without doing it individually Lastly, the camera setting should be on the pause menu, at least if I remember correctly, close to the bottom One more thing, hitting , up on right stick is contact, down then up is power, right and left are defensive swings, left stick points to “where” you want to hit it.
You have to aim your left analog stick at the pitch like you would using 'zone' on The Show. It's just that where you aim, the swing is going to be in one of the 9 strike zone boxes. When you hit with the right analog, as you pull the stick up, it changes the direction your batter will try to hit the ball based on which direction you pull the stick. 15:13
Dear Kevin, I’m a day late to remind you that are the greatest of all time and to remind you that extreme moments are still waiting for the goat to return.
There was so much cheese in this mode, especially on the PC ports, catcher was a broken position with game calling controlling so much of the sim logic, once you got it up high enough it'd just blank the other team, and then you had all the shenanigans with the AI's decisions, such as the logic for pickofff attempts. Start to break for second, then instantly dive back the second the pitcher starts to throw over. You do this enough, you can steal second almost every time once you get the timing down. That being said, the actual mode was really, really good the actual on field, not cheese gameplay was fantastic and I'd argue, better than the Show's modes at the time because you had more control. Nailing the motions to throw a perfect changeup to strike out the side was fantastic, much better than hitting a button, same for swnging the bat, driving the stick forward or on PC,the number pad, was satisfying and felt really good to connect on a pitch.nslo EDIT: Also junk ball pitchers were a ton of fun. I had a career save which was nothing but slider, curve, splitter, sinker, eephus and cutter, and that would take me 7-8 innings every start and hitters were regularly off balance with that. Nothing like dropping an eephus in when I've been pounding a cutter inside then drop an eehus in on a corner.Get outta here,Cano
Hold up. I feel like someone needs to make the statement about how at the time, 2k11 and 2k13 were absolute GARBAGE compared to mlb the show. The game was crumbs compared to the show. The ONLY thing that was good about this game was the pitching mechanic, whatever you call it. Using the right stick felt incredibly natural, unlike pinpoint in the show. All of us Xbox hosers were stuck with 2k baseball. Trust me, at the time, all of us wished we could play the show.

We meet again gentlemen
While upgrading your player if you press L1 or R1 you can upgrade your fielding attributes and speed
Hey Kev, you have to pull the analog stick down then push it up. the reason you cant hit is cause you are basically contact swinging lol
Do this and make more of this game!!!
he's also terrible at the game
@ 😂

Eye is actually OP Kevin. The higher it is the more often you get told what pitch is coming. At 99 you know what pitch is coming basically every time
It is I wish MLB The Show would have it where you can max it your stats whenever you want like this
So much better than the gimmicky crap we have now
also you have to power swing in this game for the best results.. pull back on the stick then go forward
Don’t forget you have a separate section for skill points in baserunning and fielding

I used to play this a lot back in high school and college. It's a shame that my copy got destroyed in a house fire last year.
😢
I mean if you have a decent rig at your home, you can get this game on your computer for xenia or rpcs3

MY FAV CAREER MODE
This was a great series but never got the publicity because of THE SHOW.
