I think problem here is the devs didn't really know what made tf2 weapons good They pushed the class limitis to a new level while not being too overpowered or fucking up the classes identity Even though valve had made multiple questionable choices along the years with balancing they were saved by the fact there weren't that many weapons This mod has a equipable shotgun in a pistol slot which kinda defeats the whole purpose of a secondary. something to support your primary when like how scouts use it to finnish targets or deal damage in a pinch when you're reloading your scattergun

Like, testing it out, sure. But there's a disconnect between just trying out a weapon idea and plugging it into a publically available server.

@FruityCrits I'm looking at this from the perspective of a new player who's never touched TF2 before, why would my new brain who never played TF2 before really see anything about those numbers and infer any statistics from those effects? Ray weapons work so differently than normal guns and it's never told, seeing the red pop ups wouldn't tell me anything other than "hell yeah, I'm dealing damage" Of course I know from playing a ton more and watching videos exactly how the interaction works, but all a new player would gather is the pomsion sucks and the description of it is wrong. What the gun's description says does not need to tell people with 40,000 hours anything, because they already know. It's about giving the correct and important info to new players. Not all of the gorey details are needed, but I think a new player would like to know the details of ray weapons
The balancing in this mod is absolutely fucked. Scout has an instant kill on anything secondary, you can turn engineer into a 250 hp cowboy, wielding a pistol with sniper rifle accuracy; a demo with the movement speed, hp or ehp of a heavy. It's so ridiculous.

You had more health, you took less damage, it still let you use a knife at that point and you were almost as fast as Scout. The only "downside" was that you couldn't cloak. Half of the people on the servers for that day were all going Battle Spy (including me, because it was hilarious).
@@Komikmaker The server was actually unplayable when this was happening. If you weren't playing battle spy you were guaranteed to bottom score just because battle spy could counter literally every class in the game. Luckily battle spy isn't as unfun to fight against as he once was.
Did you know that almost every class can equip a shotgun in this? That includes Medic, Sniper, and Spy. Spy especially is a lot of fun to use with a shotgun.
The shotgun is the best revolver for spy but there is a sidegrade with more damage and shot speed but less bullets called the Jury or something like that, is a revolver that shot 10 pellets with 3 shells is super good

The glowing laser-esc axe, sword, and shield are references to Doom, the Shield and Axe are wielded by the Marauder enemy in that game, and the Sword is the Slayer's Crucible used by the Doom Slayer.

There is a sniper rifle that can deal up to 1200 dmg on heads hot. Perfect for fence heavy removal. Also try the Cerberus with the auto shotgun for heavy. Running double minigun except one has like infinite damage and 3 ammo
I like tf2 classic due to how chaotic it can be. Making me able to shine even while being bad However one thing I hate are lag spike and when a player just... Doesn't exist and somehow kills me halfway through the map

Ooh! My favorite Custom weapons loadout is a medic who while not being able to attack at range is as fast as a scout and quite tanky. I have held entire games together just because I kept surviving and keeping my whole team alive. This is the build though I forgot the names. 1.Medical satchel : Makes you 25% faster but you lose your primary and has you lose 20 max HP. 2.Quick Fix. You heal slower but you get fast, yet brief Ubers. 3.Medic Shock Baton: you gain 30 max health and some resistance. Melee hits causes weird blurry effects.
Average custom weapon +400 max HP +50 health on kill +400% damage bonus On hit: cause a nuclear explosion that kills people in other servers that are running the same map as you -20% firing speed No random crits
There was actually a nuke weapon in the knockout server or whatever it's called, it used to have a heavily reduced explosion radius and the projectile was really slow but if you got hit by it it did 1500 damage. It's been reworked now and it's terrible to fight aganist, it can do up to 190 damage on a direct + bleed damage.
Here's a fun loadout for Sniper that gives you guaranteed crits and is ridiculously OP if you can hit your shots: - Poacher's Pride (Primary weapon) Fires like a slug round and does 100-200 damage, but gets crits on bleeding targets for 400-500 damage, pairs nicely with the weapon below - Sydney Spikeshooter (Secondary) Shoots like an SMG but fires nails instead of bullets, deals 5 seconds of bleeding on enemies (Perfect for making the enemy bleed, then evaporating them with the Poacher's Pride) - The Fishwacker (Melee) Hitting the enemy makes them bleed for 2 seconds, and it crits on bleeding targets This loadout is seriously broken yet seriously fun >:)

My first realisation when I joined one was : wow the is gonna have a load of unbalanced op possibly game breaking weapons My second realisation reaction was: why are spy's knives balanced in a game of unbalanced, op and gamebreaking weapons? My favourite Medic primary in this is the one that marks a target for death, and the riot shield is a must. I typically run Quickfix with this loadout but any medigun is probably fine. Also Soldier assault rifles are fun.
I like this server as a kind of super experimental server, where it can kinda feel like 10x lite with all the crazy shit going on. Super fun to try out different stuff, and while it wouldn't all fit into base TF2, there's definitely stuff in here that's just plain fun and could be adapted to fit. Also, the most updated servers for these weapons would be the Knockout City servers, as I'm pretty sure they're run by the mod creator. The ping can suck depending on where you are, I know I was waiting for a while for lower ping servers to update to the latest version only just recently did one do it.
There's this really great heavy primary called the Soviet sweeper but on a few of the servers it has different stats. The version I like has a bleed on hit stat. I also pair it with the bergur.

oo another thing try checking out youtuber The Panacek he makes short vids on each weapon, but it gives you a lot of info and the gist of how each weapons work.
Also, having played on that medieval map, I agree that it needs better lighting. You can really only see what's going on around the points, and BLU's point isn't all that well lit, either.
i had rather miserable time playing this mode cuz of how annoying it is. Time to kill woth some weapons is excessively short, its unfair and confusing roles of players are usually gone, only decent weapons i had were some faster and longer range grenade launchers on demo combined with Mine launcher from stock TF2C. Also every other server has different weapons
Today I and my whole team literally got dominated by scunt with flying guillotine, because these idiots at custom weapons made that shit a F**KING ONE-SHOT GRENADE, I swear to god that MF killed me as full-hp heavy!

You hopped into a match, without much pressure on the objective and if there was any it was more evened out by defence unlike modern casual matches in TF2 post Meet Your Match where its usually very brief and boring steamroll even if you land a match without bots. I miss old pub experience, throwing a wrench into a game that only allows try hards to be even more disruptive via extremely op loudouts isnt really a good thing.

A fun thing to try if you like pub stomping is nominating cp_crustbowl with the !nominate command, (its just the same as regular dustbowl with like 5 extra flank routes. Use the dynamite pack and the damage bonus grenade launcher with the bouncy grenades. In the 40 minute server i got 303 pointes and 168 kills just spamming the tight chokes.
the shield for demo that you were using is the marauders shield from doom eternal so is the glowy axe , the crit on kill axe is the leviathan axe from god of war 4 , Soldiers glowy sword is the crucible from doom eternal
Theres a ballistic vest for Spy that replaces the knife and buffs your HP and forces you to play Gunspy which is good in this because he has a ton of cracked guns like a desert eagle which is busted. I recommend.
Honestly the custom weapons servers are pretty cancer. And as soon as Mario Kart gets nominated, you might as well just disconnect and go somewhere else. It’ll be on Mario Kart for literal hours.
I was hoping you'd try out the Overunder Slugger. It's an explosive gun for Scout. There's also the Harpoon Gun and the One Hit Wonder for Sniper. And the Big Iron for Engie; he also has a weapon that lets him *throw* mini sentries and have them stick to walls but I forgot the name. The Spy has something called the Red Button that could be funny; same with the Security Measure. And the Medic has the Medi…Mini…Midigun. Heavy has full-on Fat Scout support in the form of the Arms-Deal Armament and The Full Throttle. Soldier has another fun one called the Follower. Seriamon made a video showing some more custom weapons I probably forgot. He also showcases weapons I mentioned. I also recommend looking at The Panacek's channel. They have several clips showcasing various overpowered and underpowered custom weapons.
On spy in this mod if you want to play gun spy there's a coat that replaces his knife that removes the option for melee but gives you an all around stat boost
I would recommend the Poacher's Pride and the Sydney Spikeshooter for Sniper. The Sydney Spikeshooter is an SMG variant that does bleed on hit, but it fires nail projectiles and the Poacher's Pride is pretty much a shotgun with a clip-size of one and it does critical hits to bleeding players. Any melee is fine.

The Gas Passer is pretty broken in this mod, too. They reworked the weapon to basically be a pipe grenade that does long afterburn.

The ping can suck depending on where you are, I know I was waiting for a while for lower ping servers to update to the latest version only just recently did one do it.

There's this really great heavy primary called the Soviet sweeper but on a few of the servers it has different stats. The version I like has a bleed on hit stat. I also pair it with the bergur.

also, you should try the Cerberus for the heavy, it's literally an instant kill mini gun at close range.
oo another thing try checking out youtuber The Panacek he makes short vids on each weapon, but it gives you a lot of info and the gist of how each weapons work.

Also, having played on that medieval map, I agree that it needs better lighting. You can really only see what's going on around the points, and BLU's point isn't all that well lit, either.

i had rather miserable time playing this mode cuz of how annoying it is. Time to kill woth some weapons is excessively short, its unfair and confusing roles of players are usually gone, only decent weapons i had were some faster and longer range grenade launchers on demo combined with Mine launcher from stock TF2C.
Also every other server has different weapons
Today I and my whole team literally got dominated by scunt with flying guillotine, because these idiots at custom weapons made that shit a F**KING ONE-SHOT GRENADE, I swear to god that MF killed me as full-hp heavy!

You hopped into a match, without much pressure on the objective and if there was any it was more evened out by defence unlike modern casual matches in TF2 post Meet Your Match where its usually very brief and boring steamroll even if you land a match without bots.
I miss old pub experience, throwing a wrench into a game that only allows try hards to be even more disruptive via extremely op loudouts isnt really a good thing.

A fun thing to try if you like pub stomping is nominating cp_crustbowl with the !nominate command, (its just the same as regular dustbowl with like 5 extra flank routes. Use the dynamite pack and the damage bonus grenade launcher with the bouncy grenades. In the 40 minute server i got 303 pointes and 168 kills just spamming the tight chokes.

the shield for demo that you were using is the marauders shield from doom eternal so is the glowy axe , the crit on kill axe is the leviathan axe from god of war 4 , Soldiers glowy sword is the crucible from doom eternal
Theres a ballistic vest for Spy that replaces the knife and buffs your HP and forces you to play Gunspy which is good in this because he has a ton of cracked guns like a desert eagle which is busted. I recommend.
Honestly the custom weapons servers are pretty cancer. And as soon as Mario Kart gets nominated, you might as well just disconnect and go somewhere else. It’ll be on Mario Kart for literal hours.

I was hoping you'd try out the Overunder Slugger. It's an explosive gun for Scout.
There's also the Harpoon Gun and the One Hit Wonder for Sniper. And the Big Iron for Engie; he also has a weapon that lets him *throw* mini sentries and have them stick to walls but I forgot the name.
The Spy has something called the Red Button that could be funny; same with the Security Measure. And the Medic has the Medi…Mini…Midigun.
Heavy has full-on Fat Scout support in the form of the Arms-Deal Armament and The Full Throttle. Soldier has another fun one called the Follower.
Seriamon made a video showing some more custom weapons I probably forgot. He also showcases weapons I mentioned.
I also recommend looking at The Panacek's channel. They have several clips showcasing various overpowered and underpowered custom weapons.
There are a few outliers, mainly Demo's axe, but most of the weapons are really fun to use
For the most part the weapons are meant to be *playable* not *balanced* , but it's a fun experience

i highly recommend the knockout servers more than anything, the weapons there i feel are easier to get the hang of
Nothing wrong with having a chaotic mess especially when it's in it's own section not impacting the core experience and such.

I would recommend the Poacher's Pride and the Sydney Spikeshooter for Sniper. The Sydney Spikeshooter is an SMG variant that does bleed on hit, but it fires nail projectiles and the Poacher's Pride is pretty much a shotgun with a clip-size of one and it does critical hits to bleeding players. Any melee is fine.
