I still haven’t figured out the logistics of playthroughs, unfortunately. My strategy is to think of it more as a racing game than anything else. Trying to climb the research track quickly gets you a long way!
The Curse of Arnak is when this game gets discounted during an Amazon Prime sale and my resolve is weak. Thus I end up here. Knee deep in your fescue. Might as well stomp a few begonias while I’m about.
That's a lot of moving parts - but it looks like fun. I've had this on my Do Want list for a while. I'll be watching this again when it comes off that list.
Well, you're not wrong on either count! There is a lot going on, and it is quite fun! It's also on Board Game Arena, if you want to check it out digitally before you buy. Not sure if it's one of the free games, or not, though.
Good job on the action recap, and the constant reminders. No mention of the web app solo worker tiles? (They are better. I don't remember why though). Also, the web app offers a solo CAMPAIGN(paign...paign...) Which I played through twice, had a blast, and didn't touch since because I forgot how to play (thanks for the video! Now I can make a quick setup guide)
You know, I had a whole bit about the web app, but then I realized that they’re also releasing the campaign as an expansion, and the whole thing started to get clunky, so I cut it. Didn’t realize there was something different/better about the tiles, though!
And it's adding two new leaders and a bunch of cards?! Too bad even the preorders are all sold out, boo. Good thing I haven't bought the $50 insert on Etsy, yet ;) (seriously, setup is obnoxious with so many tiny baggies)
The juxtaposition between the ridiculously understated hilarious comedy and the very clear rules explanations is mind-boggling! Love this channel!
Thank you so much!!
Do you ever do playthru’s? Would love to see your strategy on this one!

Good video. I like your style
Thanks!

Haha!
I think you’re going to enjoy it, if that helps at all?

oh cool, I might check that out. I sometimes use BGA when learning a new game. It's nice to have the rules enforced while I'm figuring everything out.

@@thegrouchynerd it's being released as a physical expansion?? Woohoo!
Looks like it’s even expanded to six scenarios!

@shylevari yeah, I picked up the Folded Space insert. It has room for at least the first expansion.
