hello wolf hunterz friends travis and suzi. this is another video featuring reb beech, who i consider a great but underated guitarist, who you saw in my first request of whitesnake. he has been with whitesnake for over twenty years now but at the time of this live show from anaheim 1999, he was with dokken and this is one of their best songs called it's not love. the singer don dokken is in fine voice in this show too.

Jeff Pilson, every Rock band would love to have this guy. No surprise that Foreigner picked him up.
George Lynch was and still is one of my guitar heroes from my teenage years. But Reb Beach did a fantastic job on this tour and the album he played on. Don could still sing during this time. What's insane is Reb is a FANTASTIC singer when it comes to harmonies with the work he did/does with Winger. And Dokken just didn't even need him to sing. Mick, Jeff & Don nail the vocals live.
This show (I have it on DVD) is a must watch for any Dokken fan.
Great DVD, Reb Beach was incredibly good replacing George Lynch, I saw both, both were killer!

I forgot how underrated they are but they can absolutely tear it up.

You should listen to 'Tooth & Nail,' the album cut. Saw them open for Kiss in '84. They were amazing back then. Truly one of the best guitar solos you'll ever hear.
Prime years for sure. I saw them at least four times in the '80s. They were always incredible live.
George is a maestro on the guitar.
Reb is good but George Lynch is a legend. He was compared with Randy Rhoads and EVH. The original video is great! They are driving around LA on a flatbed trailer.
I've seen both multiple times live. Reb is at least as good as Lynch and IMPO, better.

Eh, not digging it. Rob is a great guitarist, but for Dokken, George Lynch is much, much better. He has an unmistakable style and there's a distinct difference. I've only heard two guitarists cover Lynch and get it close enough to sound like Lynch. His use of pinch harmonics and when and where he uses them for instance, is much different. On top of the guitar, George sings in a higher octave, which works so much better in this song. I'd like to see you react to this same song but with the original lineup. That lineup was lightning in a bottle.

This is in no way close to the studio version with George Lynch. The tempo is too slow also.
