I can understand how you feel Manni... how you left one of your favourite games because of the methods these developers have introduced....but sadly this what the game has become. However, I think you made the right decesion.
after they added drones, it was the beginning of the end for Pixonic and it only got so much worse when they added motherships. Drones at that times were still sort of fine but once they added motherships it was game over.
I like Motherships and Drones very much. War Robots Developers, i am thankful 👍. Motherships are a interesting tactical support at the battlefield. Players can use motherships as attack support, or for heal their robots and titan. Motherships are a useful tactical Feature. For some players ( especially older F2P Players ) this many content can be too much. I understand this. But for me this is excellent 👌. Because i like all things what is giving me more tactic strategy, more possibilities and more for my individuality in the battles. The combination of this all together ( Titans, many Robots and Weapons, different Game Modes and Maps, Abilities, Drones, Skills, Modules and Motherships + different design ) is giving me this ( much FUN ) 👌. Through this all i have fun playing War Robots Battles. I am very thankful 😄🥰. I love Diversity. And War Robots is big Diversity 😉.
@@Arkenion I'm with you on this. Having all these features makes each player unique. Hopefully AA will be just as fun. And yes, I do get killed a lot in the game, but still I like the challenge to bring a new pay to win player down with teamwork. I think that's why a lot of people still play, for the chance to challenge a new WR robot or titan.
One point I forgot to m ention in this video. Part of the downfall was definitely also the way Pixonic has changed their stance on Criticsm of the game. They used to be cool and don't care about what Creators do on their channels. But recently they also began banning creators from influencer programs, striking their videos and also locking their creators in with rules that prevent the creation of content with competitors of the genre. They had hade a 180 u-turn from what once made them so likeable and successful in the first place.
Nah, they ain't cool. Played this game for 6 years and yet they didn't make the game Free to play. Me and my ENTIRE team got spawn Slaughtered by a single player and it was a bronze player and I checked his/her profile and all of his robots are fully maxed out. Whenever I send them a complaint they will reply using AI "try and participate in a giveaway" chances are 0.00000001% to win a giveaway why? Because they give away the robots to players who play the game P2W. Workshops, upgrades, etc etc takes 15 years to get the parts for a robot or weapon and upgrading it. Edited: 7:46 no bro no, as a Free to play player that's not true. Again, like i said: the upgrade takes 15 years to finish and you might say "watch ads" or "use gold" I have to pay money to get the gold and watching ads is limited and annoying at the same time. Edited: I haven't watched ur videos for the past 6 years and I noticed you don't upload much WR content anymore and started uploading new ones. And that wotb video surprised me tho, I didn't know you played that game for 10 years. Kinda cool because you got the concept 1B for free with the cool new legendary camo.

9:40 You used to be able to roughly calculate how much damage you are dealing, but with the new modules you need an excel sheet to list out all power layers

Very entertaining video, iTalkGames editing skills are insane. I wish Pixonic would just release a copy of their original game at this point... I miss playing the game with items i like. I miss the times everyone was focused on having fun and wasn't obessed to play "competitive" and throw money into items which gave them legal cheats
If they released the original game for like $20 I would still buy it, just so I can experience what older players did. Also sorry for everything that happened between us

I have been playing War Robots since 2016. At that time, I was 13 years old and in 7th grade. The way I came across War Robots was through an ad, and after seeing how cool the gameplay was, I installed it. I can vividly remember to this day how entertained and excited I was playing the game for the first time in 2016. That day, I didn't go to school since I was sick and I just stayed home playing War Robots all day. Raijin and Fuijin were the most dominant robots. Now, at 21 years old, it feels very disheartening to see what the game turned out to be. I stopped playing War Robots in 2020, so I have been completely inactive and unaware of the updates that had happened throughout the 4 years I stopped playing. However, now that I am watching this video, Manni, this is without a doubt very disheartening to see how the creators of the game caused its downfall. Although it is sad, it's their fault, and now they have to pay the price. Regardless, I don't regret playing the game. I am thankful to this day that I played the game during its Golden Age. And, I am also thankful that it was part of my childhood. Thank you as well, Manni, I have been watching you since 2017. You have also been one of my childhood War Robots RUclipsrs. Even if War Robots had come to its end, I will always be thankful for how fun it was in the beginning.

I think we're similar in age cause I got into it during middleschool, but I can't remember if it was 7th or 8th, but I remember when Fujin, Rajin, Carnage, and Lancelot were the meta of the game. I don't remember when I left, but I put up with Pixonic's bullshit for so long. It had to be around 2019. For old times memory, what were your favorite robots you had during your time playing? I remember the game promoting Kumiho parts and fully getting one and equipping it with 2 MK.2 storms. It was a balanced overpowered beast that I used to take on meta bots like Ares. I also got a Fenrir at some point and (by winning in a chest draw) Manni made it look so cool, but despite how much I upgraded it, the game's power creep kept rising and it would take a beating really bad, but I still liked it. It had the energy shotguns on the side (Corona I think, Ironic name huh?), but I know I had an Exodus equipped o the top heavy. Also had a Hades cause I refused to use Ares, don't remember his small weapons, but I gave him the big energy shotgun Glory. I loved those three despite not being OG. They were more balanced than anything to come out after 2020
@@ncrveteranranger4454I joined wr in 2016 too, early in the year, i left in 2019 when cod mobile came out bc i was done beaing defeated by guys that flexed their dads credit cards, i was a guy that made it to higher end of champion league with 3 griffins and a kumiho after all and that in an era of a spectre shocktrain and spectre orcan meta where a single mistake chould have cost you your bots and your win, the first clue and feeling of the game going downhill was introduction of pantheons, i even told my clanmates of the time that the future isnt bright for the game, ares train was uncounterable by and skill play and there was only one thing to do to win, equip your full hangar with ares's. I learned a bunch of things and skill from manni and his videos and i have watched every single video he has done on wr since i found out his chanel, and he was my favourite wr creator bc he was always honest and unfiltered in his oppinion on wr and updates and aditions to the game, thats why i remained on his chanel to this day and i will be here as long as he creates content to support him no matter what, and deap down i still have hope that one day war robots will be great again as it is my first ever game that i have invested great deal of time and effort and made so many friends and memories playing it.
@ncrveteranranger4454 When I first began playing War Robots back in 2016, I remember my favorite robots were the Golem and Griffin because I just started playing and they were just fun to use. Then, as I got used to the game and began to know every information, my favorite robots were the Fuijin, Raijin, Rhino, Galahad, Lancelot, and Gareth (for its speed when it came to getting gold during beacon rush. Afterwards, when we entered 2017, my favorite robots were still them, but then I remember when Kumiho, Inquisitor, Spectre (who I remember was called originally Exorcist when it came out), and other robots that I can't remember were introduced to the game. Spectre was my favorite robots during its time when it came out. Then, in 2018, the pantheon robots came out and Ares was and is still my favorite robot. He was so broken during that time. Anyways, to not make this comment long, my last favorite robot was the Leech. The last time I ever played War Robots was back in 2020 and I remember using the Leech. That was my last time playing the game and my last favorite robot, after that, I quit. Since then, I never figured out the next updates, but after seeing this video, I can't help but feel sad to see the downfall of my childhood game.
@alexandermercer4473 I feel the same way (talking about the end of your comment here). I didn't keep up, so seeing a "Bendy Bullet" era had me going "WTF" and the rest made me disgusted. All I knew was that drones came in, and that's where I left. I never played with drones on, but I remember pilots. I totally forgot the Leech & Ravana even existed, too. I remember when people were loathing the Dash Bots because the blue medium bot with the energy shield (forgot the name) Was so broken with the newly released Shock Train Medium weapon that could be equipped 3 times on the bot. Little did we know how good we had it at that time.
Same, I'm 21 as well. I remember playing this while I was in 6th grade. I got my first ever phone around September in 2014. I checked out a lot of mobile games, and my older brother was the one who came across "Walking war robots" and I was immediately locked in the first time I played it. It became one of my favorite childhood games of all time, as well as other mobile games like asphalt8.
Manni, you're a good man. You put the interests of your subscribers first, by conveying your strong values and ethics. This is also done in a way that also takes into consideration the business points of view, trying to reconcile the other sides perspective. You do this entirely with the risk of losing your own livilehood. I salute you. Kudos. Wish you success in your transition.
I played 2014 and still play now and I’ll just say that the game did change a lot and everytime I even think about the game the nostalgia that I get sometimes makes me want thoses memories to come back and happen again sometimes it makes me cry ❤😅
I've been a War Robots veteran since early 2017, never missing a day, even as a kid. I played relentlessly before the remaster, through the game’s evolution, from the introduction of Tier 4 robots to the arrival of new offers. I lost myself in the thrill of unlocking the latest bots and earning those coveted black market keys. Those days were unforgettable, and the memories of being among the first to experience War Robots at its peak will always stay with me.
There was a time where Manni used to say: " This guy killed me in the right moment... It was godlike"! That was the time where we knew who a pro player was and who wasn't, now it's just players with practically no skill. I used to lose a lot, but I didn't get frustrated or mad because there were really good players where skill mattered. Now it's just... The more money you spend, more powerful and strong you become". (Now i think about it, that would be a perfect slogan for Pixonic).
It's the release of overpowered gear, then the nerf, that makes this game morally and ethically wrong. How can pixonic change an item once you have purchased it? This is stealing. It's also false advertising. It's sad that it has come to this. The condor and mauler are ruining any fun gameplay. It's sad. I miss you Manni. We miss you.
@@tomschristiancafe3015 read my comment above, 2017 was an eye-opener to them. I think they also abuse the fact that the gaming industry is hardly regulated and/or there is little ppl enforcing laws. I mean only the fact that they use gambling ('gacha') should be a huge red flag for regulators. In this environment you will only have scammers. Market forces don't apply because they pre-suppose rational ppl. Addicted ppl (to the game, to power, etc) are not rational. The guys spending that much money are not sane - they will rationalize it in many ways, just like a regular junky does.

exactly, dash bot era was the beginning of the end. Started with everyone thinking Haechi was op so they'd run Haechi orkans/tarans. The true monster was the bulgasari. Then it was the dash bot-shocktrain era. This game could have been amazing, what a shame.
@cja12345 i was a haechi organ fan. Mk2 went through every bots energy shield, ans murdered any bot without much effort. But the kamkho (or how ever you spell it) was my favorite. I loved the hit and run tactics

This was a good video. I started playing back in 2015 and loved playing the game everyday. I stopped around 3 or 4 years ago due to issues in the game. It is very sad to loose a once amazing game to greedy Pixonic.
14,000+ hour player, began in late 2016, founder of 2 clans who loved this game. I'm not continuing. There are far too many releases. Can't tell who or what is shooting, too many currencies and the game play is not skill based. Always loved your content and perspective, Manni !
I remember when Fujin and raijin were meta. People would use fujins and hide in their energy shield. Nowadays I’m paired against mk3 condors despite the fact my hangar is lvl 8 mk1 to mk2s

I played wr from 2017 to 2020 and i must say the good old times and my favorite RUclipsr at that time is you manni and i face so many hard times that i got so mad that i deleted my account because it began to turn upside down but even this day when i decided to experience the new players life in wr man its so nostalgia love from me since 2017❤

I joined in 2019,I enjoyed the game, and I started watching you, then the news started coming in, about the downfall, and as I climbed higher and higher, I realized, seance I have never spent a penny on my account, all the Wales started coming in to destroy me, so I got to enjoy the game only, for 1 year, and then I quit, and still am today

There was shield META in which every robot has pop up shield like every 5 second and tank and meta robots were impossible to kill. That meta was changed after the release of the radiation weapons like blight.
Manny, the good thing I retired from War Robots. Now I am playing Nova Space Armada. You should give this game a try, because it was released in this year and it is a lot of fun game, if you like the MMO strategy space exploration game type.

Manni, this is insane to me. I used to watch your content on War Robots and be a player years ago. I remember joining when the Facebook quickdraw bots became a thing, then all the other metas and taking over after. I quit sometime after pilots and Titans were added, I think just after the scorpion was released too (I think that's what its name was). I couldn't take how expensive items were, how you could only get 1 weapon/robot per month via workshop. I even refused to used some robots like the Ares or the Ao Jun because they felt so overpowered it was unfair. Pixonic never got a penny from me To see you switching to Brawlstars is one, that honestly makes me feel kinda sad, but two, I have been playing Brawl almost non stop for about 4 years now. I literally just found out about this because of a Kairos community post from 1 month ago (at this time) I could not believe seeing two of my favorite CC doing a video together. I hope the Brawlstars content goes well and you can become an official creator at some point too. You've had my respect for your opinions on voicing your positive/negative thoughts on War Robots for many years
This video maked me realize how long i play this game already (almost since Release). I can totally relate to all stages shown in the Video. You can clearly see how Pixionic overflows the players with new content. Sad thing about is (as Manni says): you can never finish gaining new items, because there's so much to try out. But cant try everything, because of the heavy pay2win cycle. So sad and stupid ...
i stopped playing game for around 3 years. i was thinking about it and went to see your videos. It seems mobile games always end up this way. Look at clash royale it is has similar downfall. Brawl star is their new golden child.
What was once a powerful and enjoyable game, it has fallen to greed thanks to the devs. I would say that this happened around the 6th Anniversary (When the Ravana was around, and the Blitz Pilot with 90% Resistance), thats where the devs started showing that they slowly try to make more money by making things more powerful. But where they really showed that they didnt care about the game itself and just the money was when they planned orbital strikes. This is where the community asked and pleeded to not release orbital strikes, yet here we are devs removing the customization ability for orbitals. At this point any nerf that is being 'tested' in the TS will 99% of thr time be implamented to the Live Server.
*Bonus: Even going as far as reworking EVERY. SINGLE. THING. In the game, Pilots, Drones, Modules, Orbitals. I wouldnt be surprised if they reworked how much gold and silver you gain after a match. At this point just make it where you pay 299.99 just to install the game. If anythink that this game can somehow, in the slightest miracle, this game can turn around and try to be how it once was; im sorry to say this but it will not happen at all. The best thing we can do is just simply quit, and dont feed these money hungry devs Cuz us, the players, is what gave this game power. If theres no players, theres no power, and no power, no money.
Did he miss the dash bots introduced in 2017? Imo that was a huge milestone. Phoenix left (the largest WR YTber before Manni), and in the same year Manni started his successful WR YT Channel. Eventually, Manni would replace Phoenix as the largest WR YTber. Ppl were complaining but as a high level Pixo employee revealed: the criticism was lowering the morale of employers, BUT revenue was flowing in. They concluded that a part of the players are addicted and irrational and will tolerate any abuse and keep paying. From then on, they just kept pushing the boundaries (scamming, stealing, deceiving, etc) and avoiding reading feedback - until now. So, 2017 was a very important year.
@@ManniGaming I think Phoenix, you and probably Adrian should have been mentioned, too, because YOU guys provided a huge marketing push for the American market during these years. You also brought disgruntled players back (like me, many times). I kept quitting but returning (hence spending), because I kept watching you and Liam. Imagine if you could monetize all the services you have provided to the company. You would be rich and by now retired 😅
Man, this brings me back the good ol' days. I remeber being a f2p player in 2015 having actual fun with all of the balanced weapons and robots, abd being able to get good stuff if I worked hard enough. Sad it's not like that today
As a war robot player who has been there from the start, I thought Pixonic's downfall started around the Leech. Whereas before, you could have some skill with the dash robots and maneuver to outplay others, now you would have robots who would just walk into the middle of everything and bear little to no consequences.
@@palonorn8451 when leech came out I wanted to cry lmao 4 medium hard points and it can nearly nullify any damage you throw it at it even worse is that if you ran weapons such as exodus or things like Zeus or even ballista you do like next to no damage while you get farmed as if you was never meant to be there in the first place
@@a1marine105 Definitely, I thought of it as the continuation of the species, but unlike the specter, which had the durability of a leaf, the leech would be basically unkillable in comparison. Back when Leech came out, my favorite bot was the stider, I loved using it to bait the enemy into using up their ammo and then taking them out, but with Leech it gave too much of a window of invulnerability and saw skill as less of a factor. Regardles, it would also be cathartic to have an enemy unleash all of the ammo on their orkans only to dash away.
What I hate the most is that I just can't play my favorite Mechs & weapons anymore. Because they just can't compete no matter what you do to them. They'd have to remove everything they've introduced into the game for the last 4 years to make it playable again in my opinion. And that's never gonna happen.
We appreciate all that the wisdom that you share with us. Even though we see the writing on the wall some of us still go through the war robots playing motions hoping the inevitable won’t occur. The dye has been cast and war robots has too much chaos occurring outside the play and inside as well. Money grabbing is scarring the long times players like myself and many wise RUclipsrs are running out of kind words attempting to prop the war robots owners up.
I was a hardcore WR only player from the early days of "Walking WR" until 2021 or 22. I had some extra cash and I spent it on the game that I loved playing. Less than 2 weeks later, a rebalance nerfed all my improvements to levels below my big spend. I reached out to the developers for a refund or an adjustment, No reply until I claimed it was fraud. Then they put me on the crap list, I uninstalled and honestly do not miss it. I miss my Manni time tho thanks for posting. Ok dropped out in 23 over the itchycrotchy

that one halloween event with the heavy metal theme and the crimson hawk and then the christmas event after it with sam stone pilot and biomechanoid nucleon was my favorite time period of war robots
i remember back when raijin zeus meta was a thing, i bought a raijin with all my gold (it cost 4000 gold at the time). good old days, with the bastion/sentry bots. i had 2 fujins in my hangar as well.
It's really sad how wwr turned out. Started playing it 8 years ago and i don't see a good future for it. Love the game but it's just get treated wrong😭 i hope u survive Manni and can make it on to a saving ship. ❤️
Appreciate your war robot content. Your absolutely right about the monetization of the game. I continue to play because I truly appreciate my clan that I've played with for 3 years. I am 1 of those spenders, I don't find much joy in loading up 5 condors & Mauler. So I allow 2 condors to play for competiveness. It's not fun dominating your enemies. I actually play bergersare titan and UE-destrier & berglesaire cause they are fun. Do have 5 UE Ao June's 5 condors 10 raptors. Dominating your enemies isn't fun. I only play for my clan. There such good people and I appreciate them sooo much. It's The only reason I haven't permanently quit.
I've been playing since the game was launched in 2014 and am still playing now. I understand that you have to be out of your damn mind to play this game today but it's an addiction. Pixonic are fully aware of this and take full advantage of it. I KNOW I shouldn't be paying these stupidly exorbitant prices yet I still do. I've tried to walk away nunerous times but after so many years of time and investment it's hard to quit.
I started playing in 2016 maybe 2015 and stopped playing in 2022 mainly due to the reason i played on a kindle fire but when I logged back onto my account a year later in 2023 and yeah i miss old war robots best game i had ever played.
I remember the old times I quitted in the spectre shocktrain era but for idk what reason came back in Nodens era My disappointment right now wit this game is just immeasurable
I stopped playing when they added the motherships etc. I then knew I wasn’t going to be able to keep up, not just with the play-styles, but financially as well. I dumped tons of money into that I mean yes, I knew I was spending a lot of money on that particular game but it was worth it to me, yet the more they overcomplicated not only all of the attachments, but just the mechanics of the game were so messed up. They have all of these buttons to press and they keep spamming them, ruining the game. Plus the fact that creators weren’t getting any support at all from pixonic as they are stuck up and can’t handle complaints from players and creators. I was sad to leave but I simply couldn’t keep going. Looking back now, I definitely made the right choice.

I think 2018 was the year when the devs started smoking crack and that just mess up their heads. They started creating stuff out of boredom and insanity.

I miss the old war robots. The era before dash bots, that was the best time. If pixonic had just kept it this way, the game could have been as big as esport games.

@@Arkenion I'm with you on this. Having all these features makes each player unique. Hopefully AA will be just as fun. And yes, I do get killed a lot in the game, but still I like the challenge to bring a new pay to win player down with teamwork. I think that's why a lot of people still play, for the chance to challenge a new WR robot or titan.
One point I forgot to m ention in this video. Part of the downfall was definitely also the way Pixonic has changed their stance on Criticsm of the game. They used to be cool and don't care about what Creators do on their channels. But recently they also began banning creators from influencer programs, striking their videos and also locking their creators in with rules that prevent the creation of content with competitors of the genre. They had hade a 180 u-turn from what once made them so likeable and successful in the first place.
Nah, they ain't cool. Played this game for 6 years and yet they didn't make the game Free to play. Me and my ENTIRE team got spawn Slaughtered by a single player and it was a bronze player and I checked his/her profile and all of his robots are fully maxed out. Whenever I send them a complaint they will reply using AI "try and participate in a giveaway" chances are 0.00000001% to win a giveaway why? Because they give away the robots to players who play the game P2W. Workshops, upgrades, etc etc takes 15 years to get the parts for a robot or weapon and upgrading it.
Edited: 7:46 no bro no, as a Free to play player that's not true. Again, like i said: the upgrade takes 15 years to finish and you might say "watch ads" or "use gold" I have to pay money to get the gold and watching ads is limited and annoying at the same time.

I like Motherships and Drones very much. War Robots Developers, i am thankful 👍. Motherships are a interesting tactical support at the battlefield. Players can use motherships as attack support, or for heal their robots and titan. Motherships are a useful tactical Feature. For some players ( especially older F2P Players ) this many content can be too much. I understand this. But for me this is excellent 👌. Because i like all things what is giving me more tactic strategy, more possibilities and more for my individuality in the battles. The combination of this all together ( Titans, many Robots and Weapons, different Game Modes and Maps, Abilities, Drones, Skills, Modules and Motherships + different design ) is giving me this ( much FUN ) 👌. Very entertaining video, iTalkGames editing skills are insane. I wish Pixonic would just release a copy of their original game at this point... I miss playing the game with items i like. I have been playing War Robots since 2016. At that time, I was 13 years old and in 7th grade. The way I came across War Robots was through an ad, and after seeing how cool the gameplay was, I installed it. I can vividly remember to this day how entertained and excited I was playing the game for the first time in 2016. That day, I didn't go to school since I was sick and I just stayed home playing War Robots all day. Raijin and Fuijin were the most dominant robots. Now, at 21 years old, it feels very disheartening to see what the game turned out to be. I stopped playing War Robots in 2020, so I have been completely inactive and unaware of the updates that had happened throughout the 4 years I stopped playing. However, now that I am watching this video, Manni, this is without a doubt very disheartening to see how the creators of the game caused its downfall. Although it is sad, it's their fault, and now they have to pay the price.
Regardless, I don't regret playing the game. I am thankful to this day that I played the game during its Golden Age. And, I am also thankful that it was part of my childhood. Thank you as well, Manni, I have been watching you since 2017. You have also been one of my childhood War Robots RUclipsrs. Even if War Robots had come to its end, I will always be thankful for how fun it was in the beginning.

I think we're similar in age cause I got into it during middleschool, but I can't remember if it was 7th or 8th, but I remember when Fujin, Rajin, Carnage, and Lancelot were the meta of the game. I don't remember when I left, but I put up with Pixonic's bullshit for so long. It had to be around 2019.
For old times memory, what were your favorite robots you had during your time playing? I remember the game promoting Kumiho parts and fully getting one and equipping it with 2 MK.2 storms. It was a balanced overpowered beast that I used to take on meta bots like Ares. I also got a Fenrir at some point and (by winning in a chest draw) Manni made it look so cool, but despite how much I upgraded it, the game's power creep kept rising and it would take a beating really bad, but I still liked it. It had the energy shotguns on the side (Corona I think, Ironic name huh?), but I know I had an Exodus equipped o the top heavy. Also had a Hades cause I refused to use Ares, don't remember his small weapons, but I gave him the big energy shotgun Glory. I loved those three despite not being OG. They were more balanced than anything to come out after 2020

I learned a bunch of things and skill from manni and his videos and i have watched every single video he has done on wr since i found out his chanel, and he was my favourite wr creator bc he was always honest and unfiltered in his oppinion on wr and updates and aditions to the game, thats why i remained on his chanel to this day and i will be here as long as he creates content to support him no matter what, and deap down i still have hope that one day war robots will be great again as it is my first ever game that i have invested great deal of time and effort and made so many friends and memories playing it.

Then, as I got used to the game and began to know every information, my favorite robots were the Fuijin, Raijin, Rhino, Galahad, Lancelot, and Gareth (for its speed when it came to getting gold during beacon rush. Afterwards, when we entered 2017, my favorite robots were still them, but then I remember when Kumiho, Inquisitor, Spectre (who I remember was called originally Exorcist when it came out), and other robots that I can't remember were introduced to the game. Spectre was my favorite robots during its time when it came out. Then, in 2018, the pantheon robots came out and Ares was and is still my favorite robot. He was so broken during that time. Anyways, to not make this comment long, my last favorite robot was the Leech. The last time I ever played War Robots was back in 2020 and I remember using the Leech. That was my last time playing the game and my last favorite robot, after that, I quit. Since then, I never figured out the next updates, but after seeing this video, I can't help but feel sad to see the downfall of my childhood game.

All I knew was that drones came in, and that's where I left. I never played with drones on, but I remember pilots. I totally forgot the Leech & Ravana even existed, too.
I remember when people were loathing the Dash Bots because the blue medium bot with the energy shield (forgot the name) Was so broken with the newly released Shock Train Medium weapon that could be equipped 3 times on the bot. Little did we know how good we had it at that time.
Same, I'm 21 as well. I remember playing this while I was in 6th grade. I got my first ever phone around September in 2014. I checked out a lot of mobile games, and my older brother was the one who came across "Walking war robots" and I was immediately locked in the first time I played it. It became one of my favorite childhood games of all time, as well as other mobile games like asphalt8.

In this environment you will only have scammers. Market forces don't apply because they pre-suppose rational ppl. Addicted ppl (to the game, to power, etc) are not rational. The guys spending that much money are not sane - they will rationalize it in many ways, just like a regular junky does.

exactly, dash bot era was the beginning of the end. Started with everyone thinking Haechi was op so they'd run Haechi orkans/tarans. The true monster was the bulgasari. Then it was the dash bot-shocktrain era. This game could have been amazing, what a shame.

@cja12345 i was a haechi organ fan. Mk2 went through every bots energy shield, ans murdered any bot without much effort. But the kamkho (or how ever you spell it) was my favorite. I loved the hit and run tactics

This was a good video. I started playing back in 2015 and loved playing the game everyday. I stopped around 3 or 4 years ago due to issues in the game. It is very sad to loose a once amazing game to greedy Pixonic.
Your story is exactly what I did too. I started in 2015 and quit in 2018. Then returned to it in 2024, ready to stop playing again.

I joined in 2019,I enjoyed the game, and I started watching you, then the news started coming in, about the downfall, and as I climbed higher and higher, I realized, seance I have never spent a penny on my account, all the Wales started coming in to destroy me, so I got to enjoy the game only, for 1 year, and then I quit, and still am today

There was shield META in which every robot has pop up shield like every 5 second and tank and meta robots were impossible to kill. That meta was changed after the release of the radiation weapons like blight.

Manny, the good thing I retired from War Robots. Now I am playing Nova Space Armada. You should give this game a try, because it was released in this year and it is a lot of fun game, if you like the MMO strategy space exploration game type.

Manni, this is insane to me. I used to watch your content on War Robots and be a player years ago. I remember joining when the Facebook quickdraw bots became a thing, then all the other metas and taking over after. I quit sometime after pilots and Titans were added, I think just after the scorpion was released too (I think that's what its name was). I couldn't take how expensive items were, how you could only get 1 weapon/robot per month via workshop. I even refused to used some robots like the Ares or the Ao Jun because they felt so overpowered it was unfair. Pixonic never got a penny from me
To see you switching to Brawlstars is one, that honestly makes me feel kinda sad, but two, I have been playing Brawl almost non stop for about 4 years now. I literally just found out about this because of a Kairos community post from 1 month ago (at this time) I could not believe seeing two of my favorite CC doing a video together.
I hope the Brawlstars content goes well and you can become an official creator at some point too. You've had my respect for your opinions on voicing your positive/negative thoughts on War Robots for many years
Add a War Pvp option 200 vs 200 with a 1hr game end time . With Meta Rewards for the top 10 players on both sides.

I can totally relate to all stages shown in the Video. You can clearly see how Pixionic overflows the players with new content.
Sad thing about is (as Manni says): you can never finish gaining new items, because there's so much to try out.

i stopped playing game for around 3 years. i was thinking about it and went to see your videos. It seems mobile games always end up this way. Look at clash royale it is has similar downfall. Brawl star is their new golden child.
What was once a powerful and enjoyable game, it has fallen to greed thanks to the devs. I would say that this happened around the 6th Anniversary (When the Ravana was around, and the Blitz Pilot with 90% Resistance), thats where the devs started showing that they slowly try to make more money by making things more powerful. But where they really showed that they didnt care about the game itself and just the money was when they planned orbital strikes. This is where the community asked and pleeded to not release orbital strikes, yet here we are devs removing the customization ability for orbitals. At this point any nerf that is being 'tested' in the TS will 99% of thr time be implamented to the Live Server.
*Bonus: Even going as far as reworking EVERY. SINGLE. THING. In the game, Pilots, Drones, Modules, Orbitals. I wouldnt be surprised if they reworked how much gold and silver you gain after a match.
At this point just make it where you pay 299.99 just to install the game. If anythink that this game can somehow, in the slightest miracle, this game can turn around and try to be how it once was; im sorry to say this but it will not happen at all.
The best thing we can do is just simply quit, and dont feed these money hungry devs

Phoenix left (the largest WR YTber before Manni), and in the same year Manni started his successful WR YT Channel. Eventually, Manni would replace Phoenix as the largest WR YTber.
Ppl were complaining but as a high level Pixo employee revealed: the criticism was lowering the morale of employers, BUT revenue was flowing in.
They concluded that a part of the players are addicted and irrational and will tolerate any abuse and keep paying. From then on, they just kept pushing the boundaries (scamming, stealing, deceiving, etc) and avoiding reading feedback - until now.
So, 2017 was a very important year.

As a war robot player who has been there from the start, I thought Pixonic's downfall started around the Leech. Whereas before, you could have some skill with the dash robots and maneuver to outplay others, now you would have robots who would just walk into the middle of everything and bear little to no consequences.
Leech was stupid but the pantheon bots were just broken specifically ares all your effort can get nullified by a unbreakable shield and 50k base dmg

@@a1marine105 Definitely, I thought of it as the continuation of the species, but unlike the specter, which had the durability of a leaf, the leech would be basically unkillable in comparison. Back when Leech came out, my favorite bot was the stider, I loved using it to bait the enemy into using up their ammo and then taking them out, but with Leech it gave too much of a window of invulnerability and saw skill as less of a factor. Regardles, it would also be cathartic to have an enemy unleash all of the ammo on their orkans only to dash away.
Make a shop that sells every titan,robot,drone,module,pilot get rid of the loot boxes let us buy what we want when want

What I hate the most is that I just can't play my favorite Mechs & weapons anymore. Because they just can't compete no matter what you do to them. They'd have to remove everything they've introduced into the game for the last 4 years to make it playable again in my opinion. And that's never gonna happen.

Even though we see the writing on the wall some of us still go through the war robots playing motions hoping the inevitable won’t occur. The dye has been cast and war robots has too much chaos occurring outside the play and inside as well. Money grabbing is scarring the long times players like myself and many wise RUclipsrs are running out of kind words attempting to prop the war robots owners up.

I was a hardcore WR only player from the early days of "Walking WR" until 2021 or 22. I had some extra cash and I spent it on the game that I loved playing. Less than 2 weeks later, a rebalance nerfed all my improvements to levels below my big spend.
I reached out to the developers for a refund or an adjustment, No reply until I claimed it was fraud.
Then they put me on the crap list, I uninstalled and honestly do not miss it.

i remember back when raijin zeus meta was a thing, i bought a raijin with all my gold (it cost 4000 gold at the time). good old days, with the bastion/sentry bots. i had 2 fujins in my hangar as well.

Appreciate your war robot content. Your absolutely right about the monetization of the game. I continue to play because I truly appreciate my clan that I've played with for 3 years. I am 1 of those spenders, I don't find much joy in loading up 5 condors & Mauler. So I allow 2 condors to play for competiveness. It's not fun dominating your enemies. I actually play bergersare titan and UE-destrier & berglesaire cause they are fun. Do have 5 UE Ao June's 5 condors 10 raptors. Dominating your enemies isn't fun. I only play for my clan. There such good people and I appreciate them sooo much. It's The only reason I haven't permanently quit.

I've been playing since the game was launched in 2014 and am still playing now. I understand that you have to be out of your damn mind to play this game today but it's an addiction. Pixonic are fully aware of this and take full advantage of it. I KNOW I shouldn't be paying these stupidly exorbitant prices yet I still do. I've tried to walk away nunerous times but after so many years of time and investment it's hard to quit.
I started playing in 2016 maybe 2015 and stopped playing in 2022 mainly due to the reason i played on a kindle fire but when I logged back onto my account a year later in 2023 and yeah i miss old war robots best game i had ever played.
I used to play like 3hrs a day back in 2017😢

I stopped playing when they added the motherships etc. I then knew I wasn’t going to be able to keep up, not just with the play-styles, but financially as well. I dumped tons of money into that I mean yes, I knew I was spending a lot of money on that particular game but it was worth it to me, yet the more they overcomplicated not only all of the attachments, but just the mechanics of the game were so messed up. They have all of these buttons to press and they keep spamming them, ruining the game. Plus the fact that creators weren’t getting any support at all from pixonic as they are stuck up and can’t handle complaints from players and creators. I was sad to leave but I simply couldn’t keep going. Looking back now, I definitely made the right choice.

I miss the old war robots. The era before dash bots, that was the best time. If pixonic had just kept it this way, the game could have been as big as esport games.

It was more their power level that makes them annoying
I remember grinding the game to a certain level to get Titans, which were so fun before there were so many more titans, and now the classic titans are useless now :(
