    PLEASE ANSWER!! I have a 2006 Lexus is250 and am looking to do the is350 brake upgrade kit.The rear rotors are larger and the rear calipers are minimally different but I saw one example where the rear is350 caliper wasn't a direct bolt up to the is250 and the mounting bracket from the is250 had to be drilled and tapped to a different thread pattern to be able to bolt up the is350 rear caliper. They are fine for my needs. It’s more for looks since I got big wheels. They design of the 2-piece is stupid with the rivets instead of bolts. If they had bolts like aftermarket BBK and make the rings replaceable, it would have saved them tons from the TSB. Most people replacing the rotors later are installing solid $50 rotors anyway after they realized the 2-piece are $250/each.

    Hey man I’m going to be tackling the is350 brake upgrade tomorrow and was using this and your other videos for reference and just had a question for the brake line upgrades, it didn’t seem like yours leaked much fluid while you were changing them? Did you drain the fluid before hand or did you do anything to slow down the flow when you were switching the brake lines?

    • @TunerwithKids
      @TunerwithKids  3 года назад

      Are you replacing lines? You can do a drain into a bottle then swap in new and bleed.

      for the line change, let it hang down and drain before you unscrew the hardline to the rubber. Then take it out to minimize the mess.

      That PN is the left side IS350 caliper. For the 13 inch rotors. They used this on the IS, GS, and RC with regular 13 inch brakes. See my other video on IS350 upgrade on IS250.

  • @kenmaller2456
    @kenmaller2456 3 года назад

    Do you have to get an engineer certificate to make these brakes road legal in the US ?
    Even though they all OEM parts ?
    In Australia you have to get a mod plate to make it road legal if the vehicle didn’t have the brake upgrade as an option !!!
    Is the master cylinder he same as the 350 ?
    Is the ABS pump the same as 350 ?
    Brake booster?
    Brake bias ?
    ABS module ?
    The engineer looks at all this when does the brake test !!
