Simplicity at its finest. Not many people appreciate that minimalism can be beautiful too. Ludovico gets a lot of flak from classical pianists, but he's an excellent composer.

Ludovico is extremely easy technically speaking. Very repetitive and very little modulation, if any. But his music can be difficult to play with emotion.
I lost my nephew some time ago he was in his mid 30's and I was very down obviously, and somehow I stumbled on to this piece The Waves by Ludovico and it absolutely tore me up inside it has such beauty and warmth in it hope and a strength for persisting too. Perfect for your Gran perfect for anyone who someone loves or loved.
Most of his songs are definitely not hard to learn at all once you have an easy background in piano and can read the notes or even learn by ear. But that's the great thing about it, you can learn it and play it and literally feel what he feels when he plays it. When I play it, I get lost in the music because this piece is just so profoundly beautiful and the title speaks for itself.
I heard this as in flight music on a trip to Alicante for the first time last summer. I was immediately struck by it's beautiful cord changes, how emotional this piece of music was and peaceful. I never knew the artist until a recent search for classical piano music and as soon as I heard 'divenire' I knew this was the artist due to the style and sound. Thankfully, after playing through each track I have completed my search and discovered Ludovico Einaudi as the responsible artist who is now on my top list. Thank you so much.
This song is what my child fell asleep to at night and the reason now at 10 he is now learning piano. Such a moving piece. Don't know whether to cry or be happy listening to it.

I adore Einaudi, and yet I cannot play as well as him. And I never will be able to play his songs as well as he does. Because he is truly talented and blessed. I remember a close friend spending many hours learning to play Le Onde herself. She passed away unexpectedly in 2002 aged 18. This wonderful music will always remind me of her 😢
