    What a great series this is. Enjoying the scenery and the sights from the bikes and let’s face it you can’t beat a good meal, a few drinks and a decent night’s sleep after a day on the bike. Looking forward to seeing where next…..

      @ianbaines9705 Thanks. We appreciate you saying. We loved exploring the area, it was our first ever visit. We do love to try the local cuisine and wine and the Paradors were often packed full of historical pieces.
      I'm in the middle of editing the next episode and unfortunately, the weather and road closures cause problems, but the scenery is still stunning.

    My kind of riding holiday, 150-200 miles a day off motorways and a nice hotel at the end of the day. I even add in rest days for a bit of local exploring on foot but then I’m 64😉😢

      Great to meet you. We've just arrived home, it rained for 100 miles while we rode south! 20 miles from home and the sun was out!

    I'm enjoying this special birthday tour, Carol's really pushed the boat out for this one, pardon the pun 😄 Cake for breakfast at the first Parador, wine and doughnuts at the next one, as a Scotsman I should appreciate that but you just can't beat a full Scottish. Who wouldn't appreciate those views though, absolutely stunning and very atmospheric with the low clouds.

      @@greywolf9292 That restaurant was something really special. We were lucky to have it to ourselves the first night. The second night the place was packed.
      I've not found a European hotel that can do a good full English/Scottish breakfast yet!

    Great ride guys. That parador is only 3.6km from where we stayed on tour in 2019, but we were going the opposite direction, on our way to Picos. Keep em coming.

      We eventually get to one in Hondarribia, an old castle. Expensive but wow😍

    I couldn't believe how quiet it was there! The hotel look nice even though dated.
    Shame about the wheather but at least it wasn't chucking down.
    Where were the porsche people aswell.

      Not raining hard in this episode but in the episode I'm editing, we really get it and things don't go to plan

      @@Banditmanuk anti clockwise over almost a month, baring any emergency again.... been trying to do this every year since 2019! Something happens each year that I have to cancel 😔😔😔

    Did Carol just shake her Tic Tacs at you? 🤣🤣
    What a stunning area to ride around, beautiful. Riverside roads are usually amazing, that one didn't disappoint did it.
    Great tunnel, bet the temperature dropped big time in there.
    I chuckled to see you doing the gentlemanly thing and pushing Carol and her bike backwards. People take the mickey out of me cos I open doors for my wife and let her go through first. Little do they know it's just in case there's anything that is dangerous the other side of it.😁😁😁😁
    Those hotels look superb, they're clearly spending money on that one by the works going on. And both of those Paradors so far have had perfect settings. Looking forward the most to seeing the passes, hope it's clear up there.

      @@tojj29 I do occasionally get lucky with the odd tick tack 😉
      There's no hang ups between us about Carol not wanting me to help her out occasionally with the bike. I'm just physically bigger. I still open doors but usually for everyone (it's difficult to tell these days so I play safe)

      @@midlifemotorcyclediaries This was filmed on the 12th June. We were expecting it to be warmer. I didn't take my jacket warm inner. Big mistake 😮
      We definitely enjoyed the Parador experience. Food and dining seem to be of a similar high class across all of them.

    Thanks for another great upload. Fabulous views. Mind you, I can't believe how desolate the area and hotel is, although I fully appreciate that's part of the appeal, but it does beg the question how a hotel like that can afford to stay open. Maybe it's more geared towards the winter skiing season? Anyhow, a very interesting insight and I look forward to your next video with interest. Both of you take care.

      @@davidlutton4560 I don't think the hotel has let all it's rooms out as there is refurbishment going on. Also the day we filmed was quiet compared to the following day when the restaurant and car park were packed

    This was a kind of magic, empty roads. This is not something one would see very often. :) The area was nice and the roads too. When exactly you were there, because 2 degrees in the morning it is really cold. :)

      We've been away in northern England this weekend and it's only been around 14C max all the daytime. Not sure where our summer has gone

    Helloooo people! I think you will have to get an adventure bike Richard that road was very and bumpy. Hats off to Carol for her planning points of view and rout 👍. Oh is reverse gear an optimal extra on the Triumph? Excellent work as always. 👍🏍️💨

      Well I sort of thought we were showing that you don't need an adventure bike to have an adventure. Saying that the Tiger 1200 would have been nicer on those rough roads.
      Part of the holiday for Carol is researching the roads and hotels. I think she does great
      There are still things I come in handy for like pushing bikes!

      @@ec9156 You are very kind. We use multiple different recording techniques.
      Most of the helmet footage is DJI Action 3 shot in 4K 60fps. We use 2 Insta 360 one X2.
      All inside shots we use a DJI Action 4 linked to DJI mic2 wireless microphones.
      The riding audio is transmitted by Rode Wireless Go2 and gets our joint audio onto one camera track.
      For busy interior areas where you want to be less noticeable filming we use a tiny DJI Insta Go2
      Sorry it's not a simple answer. We also use smartphone footage and drone footage is by DJI mini 2, at 249g it falls below the weight of lots of drone legislation

      @@NooBiker I guess the ferry prices are based on supply and demand. We really enjoyed the ferry. You kind of chill out and enjoy the experience and arrive to great riding, feeling refreshed

    "Fantastic " what gorgeous scenery and the hotel position was perfect to take it all in I guess temps are always gonna be on the lower side up in the mountains and if there's cloud it's gonna be a bit iffy but you guy's did a great job of showing everything a real pleasure to watch super well done .     The scenery is stunning and just keeps getting better. I did choke a bit at the ferry price but when you think it's more of a mini cruise its not so bad.
    I must admit I do like a tunnel, but mostly because of the anticipation of what you will emerge into and what the landscape will look like.

      @@wsmv It was the temperature change in the tunnel that shocked us.
      Luckily it was only about ten mins to the hotel after the tunnel
      We definitely loved the Paradore experience. That one had a stunning view 😍

      @GuernseyDave943 We heard them all chatting in the bar. They were all searching out similar roads to us for the joy of driving them. Our budget is tiny compared to theirs, but I think more excitement can be found on two wheels.
      We've yet to visit Guernsey. I hear it's beautiful

      @GuernseyDave943 I had the previous model XSR900 with a Velocity moto RD350LC kit. Loved it but eventually sold it. Arr 35mph, better stay in 1st!

    Hope you took it easy throught the 5km tunnel, it has speed cameras in it. we were tipped off in 2022 by a local when waiting to enter due to road works. Parador hotels are lovely as you well know. We have a few lined up again this year. Did you go to Andorra?

      @lipglosshelmetsandhim Don't know what the limit was, but we were doing only about 50mph (80kph), no tickets as yet, and back nearly a month. Didn't make Andorra, weather for the next two days was bad.
