Put a piece of parchment paper on your wool mat the iron on freezer paper. If you put freezer paper onto felt use sticky side down to applique as stickiness remains on felt and picks up fluff throught time. Looks like a cheese slicer. Love the shape of your iron points both ends.

Yes! Parchment will keep the freezer paper wax or polymer from contaminating the wool mat. You can also use a silicon baking sheet - available at the Dollar store or Amazon. Pretty inexpensive and lasts a long time. Either way, but I don't do appliqué pressing on my wool mat.

Great idea to go to the dollar store!
What do you use for your applique pressing?

      Yeah you’re right for sure!
Parchment paper is a great idea. Or a Teflon sheet as others have suggested is also a great idea!
Yeah I LOVE the shape of this iron - and how smoothly it glides too!!

I use a silicon mat and a regular or small standard ironing board w a firm cover. 😊

Try a parchment paper sandwich with the freezer paper or a Teflon mat

Yeah great tips. I need to keep a piece of parchment under the mat so it’s always there - available and at the ready!
Definitely need to protect that mat!
