I'm glad it helped. English proficiency tests include Ielts and Toefl. One thing that helped me was timing myself while practicing questions. You'll get access to practice questions from British Council once you book your Ielts test. You can also access websites like www.ieltsliz.com

Hi chidinma, I chosed Access, inclusion and opportunity as my CSC. Then 3 other sdg goals. So I picked my first goal and tell about it in 1 a&b. So at what point should I bring in my course of study I intend to study in the UK.
I'm glad the video helped. For your question, CSC gives family allowance where applicable, however I suggest you focus on answering the questions on the form. Unless you're asked specifically to state if you'll be accompanied by children, then please let them know.

nice job with the presentation, quite informative. but here's my concern. i applied for the chevening scholarship and I noticed a few similarities between the two in the essays. can I paraphrase or reuse some of my write ups in the chevening essays for the CSC? since my essays for the two scholarship focus on the same issue.

Hi Jemima, I'm glad it helped. For your questions: 1) The Commonwealth website states you should apply to one of the nominating agencies. For Nigeria, there are about 4 agencies to pick one. 2) The guideline for that question asks that you discuss all 3.
What if I haven’t had any unique experience, I haven’t worked under someone, i haven’t engaged in any voluntary activities…..is it OK to twist the truth?
I suggest you take some time to search through the course of your life. At least there should be an experience that has impacted you. Voluntary activities could be those little activities you have participated in one time or the other, it mustn't be with the big organizations.

To answer your question, when filling the form, there is a section that asks about your contact with the universities and in this section you need to provide details of the application you submitted to the university for admission and also let them know if you have been offered admission. So it is advisable to apply for admission alongside the scholarship.

Hello, most universities have contacted selected candidates. Check your Spam email folder and I suggest you reach out to the university to ask for the status of your application.
Hi.I got provisionally nominated from Newcastle University .But they mentioned that it is pronsional until confirmation from the Commenwealth shared commission. I want to know what is the next steps? Are they (CSC comitte) going to conduct any interviews for any other selection process? How much percentage I have to secure this scholarship ?
Congratulations on the scholarship!! There are no interviews for Shared scholarships. Just await further instructions from the Uni or CSC. Most scholars get same email and then a confirmation email from CSC.
Can anyone please reply that are we supposed to choose one theme from the 6 of the themes provided in the CSC and base our scholarship essay on just that? I am totally new to this part and am willing to try.
The more university you apply to..you’d have to pay for the school application fees as well.... Am I right ? Or does the scholarship offer application fees waiver as well
Most universities in the UK don't require application fees, just a few. At the time of application, the individual has not been awarded any scholarship to cover those fees so they'll have to pay for it personally.

Hi, Can I use the same essay content to apply for 2 or 3 Commonwealth MSc shared scholarship for different universities? Put differently, making 3 applications in the Commonwealth portal to study Biology in 3 different universities, can I make use of the same content.
Same essay content should be fine since it's same course but all the essays shouldn't be 100% similar. Each school has something unique to offer, some modules could be different even if it's same course. So let your essays reflect this too.
It's best to ensure your answers are specific to each program and each university as there could be slight differences in the programs. However some of the general questions could have the same answers.
From the CSC's website it says - hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
