Thanks for the unboxing. I was waiting for this game for a long time and I have slowly seen how complicated it is. It looks very good, but I shy away from games that constantly force you to consult dozens and dozens of pages of rules. In the end I don't enjoy games like this in which more than just playing you struggle with memory. I prefer less game tools that I am not able to memorize than few tools that I simply strive to manage (play) well and get the most out of them.
There's a lot to learn for sure, but don't forget that the game's developer and I did a Learn to Play video on the channel that will also help you grok the game along with reading the rules. Give a watch to the video and see if it looks like it's less intimidating with that as an assist along with the rules. Keep us posted!
thank you for the video. looks extremely complicated but scenario breakdowns look to make it easier to grok. However it seems questionable to think that, with all this complexity, the campaign scenario is likely to be well playtested and balanced and that's a lot of stuff to hew through to find that the game is lopsided. I also don't like this general tendency of having basic games and advanced game rules and then optional rules on top of that because all that does is diminish the value of the basic (lame) game -- who buys it for that? Just make the game an advanced game! That said, Kevin is a great developer based on my experience with other games he's been involved in.
I think having the basic and advanced game is there to get people to jump in and play sooner and then take in the advanced rules with some experience to make that extra step a little easier.
@MoesWargames all I can say is that it's never been the reason I've bought a game. Basic/advanced/optional being part of the buying decision has been NA for me. Thanks for the reply cheers
Thanks for the Preview Moe, your ones are really the most detailed on the web and give a good idea on what we get in the game😀
Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it! Glad you find the videos helpful! :)
Thanks for the comprehensive review of an interesting new game
Thanks for watching, hope it helped you!

Are the infantry and info counters half inch or three quarters?
They're 9/16" counters.
@@MoesWargames Thank you, now I might get this...I don't like 1/2" after playing with larger counters for a year.
