    A perfect demonstration of why this plane is so popular at the reno air races. Fast and agile.

      Reno Air Races? Never seen a C-47 flying at Reno, at least not racing. And have never seen a C-47 doing aerobatics either. Nice plane but the flying demo takes away the authenticity of the airplane's performance.

      @@RobertBrugess-xj8fj exactly why I said that. If you're gonna fly a scale plane, fly it scale. A C-47 isn't the same as a P-51. I want to see how smooth and stable it is at scale speeds and in scale turns.

    I have a VQ P-39 54" ish wingspan. It's one of my favorite birds. Very nice construction and flies really nice.

    The C47 took off like a rocket, very fast acceleration. I knew you had to fly it a bit fast as it was carrying a bit more weight. A bigger model flies much more scale like. I have a 80" ws F6F Hellcat which flies very much like a scale plane. Using more rudder in the turns really gives the scale like flight.

    Man you're one fine RC pilot. Just curious were any gyros in the on position? You seemed rock solid.

    For a plane that about a pound overweight it flew great! Might have to get one

    Seems like a great mid size warbird. Looks very well made. Any issues during build or flight? Everything fit? All parts usable? Any issues with wing drop, etc?

    That aircraft is gorgeous but there's two major problems here.
    1: IT NEEDS FOUR CYCLES! C-47s just do not look and sound right when they're being jerked around like ragdolls by a ridiculously over-powered brushless setup. That thing cries out for the drone of a pair of OS FS26 Surpasses or Saito FA-30s pulling it along in a scale manner.
    2: WTF is with the air show antics? It's nice that the aircraft can do them but c'mon mate. This isn't an Extra 300. It's a C-47. The real aircraft would never do that sort of stuff and it just looks strange watching the model do those maneuvers as well.

      Did you mean “Why wasn’t it flown scale flight speed?” I don’t think very many full scale Dakota’s were barrel rolled during military operations.

      I think he is not sarcastic but serious. Nothing like seeing a 747 or other airliner doing rolls and loops. Just showing off I guess!

    Why do RC pilots fly airplanes that do not fly aerobatics, do so? Are they demonstrating their skills or...?
    Seen a 747 do loops as well - RC style. Not impressed with the flight. The plane is nice though.

    why can't people fly scale properly he's going way too fast , the c47 wasn't designed to roll Jesus

    • @scotabot7826
      @scotabot7826 4 года назад +1

      Model is incapable of flying much slower. It's built way way to heavy by the MFG to fly scale. Chop the power on this model (at 8 lbs) and it comes down like a lead balloon. It's not the pilot, as he did a terrific job flying this too heavily loaded model.
