- High speed traffic run at the C1 Shuto Expressway Midnight. The sound makes this car so much more fun to drive.
I use the older version of the C1 Shuto Expressway because the old version has tunnel sounds. It uses external samples at a specific distance so I can incorporate my tunnel sounds.
In this video you can hear the following sounds I created for this sound mod. All sounds used in this mod are from an actual Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Even the tunnel sounds.
1) Porsche 911 GT3 RS Cabin Interior exhaust sound
2) Porsche 911 GT3 RS tunnel sound

About real rev mode: (Not in this video)
In FMOD Studio I use a combination of parameters for the external sounds to create the “real rev mode” which is also based on camera distance to the car.
To get close enough to hear these samples I use the free cam option F7 and F5. F7 uses external samples and if I am first inside the car (F1) and then press F7 I can rev the car, see the tachometer and use the external samples.
Mostly it takes a lot of time to get this matched with the RPM but the result is great in my opinion. This way the rev battles become more realistic and fun :-)
For now the internal revs (F7) and external revs with F5 sound the same. In the future I would like to build a “real rev mode” also for the interior of the car which sounds differently (more muffled) then the external mode.

About me and my channel:
______________________________________________
My name is Marco Marti and I like cars. Especially the sounds. That's why I like to create my own sound mods for Assetto Corsa.
With a full time job and three kids it’s not easy finding spare time but with your support it will make it a lot easier.
I primarily started creating sound mods for my own gameplay. To improve the immersion. Because when it comes to the original car sounds from all the games I have played, I never liked them very much. The sounds were missing clarity and good upshift and downshift sounds.
After finishing a mod and depending on my mood I choose purely exhaust sound or cabin sound to race with. For some cars I make both types of sounds. (Cabin and exterior) but always use them inside the cabin. I have some experience in sound editing and music production. Have been a music producer and sound designer for more then 25 years and thought it would be nice to create my own mods just the way I would like them to be. In the near future I want to share my mods with all my fans who like them.
I focus on 6 main thing in creating new car sound mods to add to my car collection.
1) Cockpit view type of sounds, in cabin and exhaust in 4 different categories but all focused on cockpit view (vr) driving.
A) Car interior sound with windows closed
B) Car interior sound with windows open
C) Car exhaust sound no wind
D) Car exhaust sound with wind
2) Real Rev Mode (for fun!), which consists of revving the car with realistic sounds. (free cam mode in assetto corsa is required)
3) Start up sounds and (adaptive) idle (from cold to warm engine)
4) Flyby sounds
5) Tunnel sounds
6) Launch control (when available for car)
As I am a VR racer I don't focus on third person view driving but instead use these parameters for creating the real rev mode, tunnel sounds and flyby sounds.
