A few comments to add:
1. Yes raining will affect the track. It will change the ballgame of the race. the fun karts tires are slicks which are not meant for wet tracks.
2. There is no lane when it comes to a race circuit. It boils down to the racing line. Saffron going over kerps are allowed but it slows u down depending on the type of kerbs you mounted.
3. Fun karts cannot really give a good gauge when it comes to actual racing, to actually gauge ur driving skills, do up the level by trying race karts. these race karts can hit up to 100km/h on the main straights.
But then yes for real, do try out race karts, you do not need any driving license to drive it. just rent from any teams at the race circuit. Race Karts are a total different ball game compared to fun karts.
