Very very nice test/review thank you brother! I got a question for you: Can this ampflifier play up a drumset? Is it loud enough? I mean not on a outdoor scene but in a basement thats decently isolated. Would the drummer be able to feel it and hear it? Cheers from Denmark
Hi- I would say it would not be loud enough for a band with electronic drums - I would recommend something with at least a 12" speaker and 35 watts RMS (also with built in compressor) for a band that plays on the soft side ... this amp is really a practice amp or for a band with acoustic guitars only. Hope that helps!
I was looking for a practise amp. I have friends who want to get together and jam a little bit and all I have is my traynor yba 200 amp and 1510 cab. I'd be playing with a guitar player and not sure what else. Would this little guy be able to hold up? Just looking for something a little more portable to little practise/jam sessions
Perfect for practice sessions that are not too loud. I love this amp and I think you will, too. The quality is through the top (best quality). Low notes are not going to compare to a "big" amp, but I still think you will find it to be "awesome".
RabbaDooDabba When I worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS near Hamburg, they were fascinated with my use of the English expression "Bulls**t" and lovingly translated it into Kuh Mist and repeated it often! LOL.
Oh, so thats why. Nice story though. At first I thought you were of german descent (descendance ?), sorry I made a wrong assumption. And thank you for lettting me know and satisfying my curiousity. Your german is pretty good by the way but with you working for an amount of time in germany that would be a forgone conclusion, I think.
I bought it, i knew exactly that it would'nt go for a gig for this price. But, for the same price, there are much bass amp which a re better. Whatever... if you're happy with it, what more can i say? Maybe i had a crappy one from the factory, but i really doubt about this.Ther's no miracle, it's a cheap amp, and your satisfaction will depend on what you'll play bass with it.I swear mine was shaking with the tone set on low, there were scratchs from the speaker even when i wasn't playing, hum, and a sound level so poor...I think definilty, if you plan top play bass, you need at least 75/100w in solid state for practicing decently.
I agree. This amp almost made me consider not buying orange products. Almost. They saved me with there micro terror line of stuff and there tune heads. This amp was horrible tho.
(same guy, lost my password account) Strange how you answer fast to negative advice, and ignore the thumbs up. maybe you are a resaler and don't want to spoil your vids by negative comments. I'm really sorry, but this is not a good practice amp AT ALL. If you love it, please try something else. Hartke, warwick, ampeg, whatever you want, but stop considering this piece of crap like a real bass amp. The brand doesn't make the amp fantastic. You seem to have a lot of stuff, peavey, vintage ... i don't know what is on the left. And you find this shit good? seriously? I didn't, and i'll never. Not a question of brand, just of sound. i tried it myself. Ridiculous. And pliz stop thanking me for watching like a meteo announcer, i watched only to see who thinks this amp is good. et you are the first, bravo.
I respond to all comments on my RUclips videos that are directed towards me and that RUclips gives me notifications of, and if you look at the comment section on any of my videos you will see that. If you browse through my other videos, you will also see that I am not at all a reseller of anything music-related, but that it is just one of my hobbies - in fact, the majority of the videos I produce are on my cars and motorcycles. Before I bought this amp, I had never used an Orange amp before - I basically bought it on a whim because I needed a practice amp and it had relatively good reviews on Amazon (still has nearly 5 stars, too). I have been into music since I was a kid and own a vast amount of equipment, both new and vintage - I have RUclips videos on a bit of my collection as well. I think this amp is great for its intended purpose, and I'm sorry that you think it is bad. I'm curious - what bass are you using with the amp? Just as a side note, brand is not everything - I bought one of the reissue Ampeg V4B amps (I have multiple videos on it) since I like my vintage one, and it is a total piece of crap with tons of hum. I have quite a few full-size bass amps and a few sets of cabinets, some of which are on my RUclips channel as well, and I am not new to the world of amplifiers. What sounds good is what I like, regardless of brand.
You are very kind to answer a troll like i did. Same as you, i trusted advices, on online sales stores . Ok, i can admit you are no resaler or something like that, but i won't change my mind: it is crap. I tried many bass amps cheap, and most of them were better that this one. In your vid, you seem to engage someone to buy it. And i will not change my advice, for the price, there is a lot more bass amp to try and feeel love with. hartke, EBS,ampeg, etc. Do not buy this. (and i'm not a resaler, or affiliated , just warning you.) did you, redon, try other bass amp since this vid?
As I said before, I own quite a number of bass amps. I don't currently have any other small (i.e. practice) amps in my collection, but the practice amp I used before this one was a small Peavey and was nowhere near as good. Now, something like my Peavey VB2 + Avatar cabinet combo will certainly sound better, but that is a monster setup that is not able to be easily transported. I own other large bass amps from Ampeg and Marshall, and while they sound good (Ampeg V-4B aside, that amp is a total POS), again, they are not transportable. This is the best sounding practice amp that I have found, and most people who have heard it seem to think it is quite good as well. The only reason I promote buying the amp is because I did not expect very much from it when I purchased it, and was pleasantly surprised when it performed quite well. It is on the expensive side for a small amp, and it might sound like crap for other music genres like metal, but for the light rock and country music that I write, I find it works fairly well. One of my friends purchased the amp after I showed him this video, and he quite enjoys his as well, but he plays the same style of music as I do so that may be why.
I tried turning the amp facing a corner of the room and out about two feet - like a folded horn - nice sound! Try it!
I have a 74 ripper in natural maple. That black out is nice!

I plug in with an acoustic guitar. Its an Amazing experience
Absolutely is - thanks for watching!
@@redonKiLaus u"ve tried?
sounds greattt, thanks man
Thanks for watching!
redonKiLaus Hey man, nice video! one question though, is the amp loud enough to get over a guitar and drums?
orange cr25bx vs hartke hd25??which is better?
Is it loud enough for a band who plays with electric drums (So I don't need to keep up with a acoustic drumkit, so that makes it easier)?

no, it can't keep up with a drum set.
I bought one, and it's not that loud.

as long as you aren't jamming with a drummer you'll be fine.
You recommend it for playing with a band in a garage?
Depends on how loud you play, but should work for that. Thanks for watching!
I thought it would have a USB output. Does this run on Batteries?
It's AC only, no batteries. Thanks for watching!
neat review...
so, how much did you pay for the amp ?
GrÜße aus Deutschland
Mehr oder Weniger 160 Euro (Amazon.com - USA). Es tut mir leid, aber Amazon.de hast kein CR25BX :-( Kuh Mist!

Is this loud enough to be heard over drums?
Depends on the size of the room/audience, but it should be fine for practice. Thanks for watching!
Character In the video It's great, I like it a lot $$
What bass are you using?
I'd say it's a Gibson Grabber or a ripper.
whats a quarter inch phone plug?
The plug that is typically used to connect a guitar to an amp. Thanks for watching!
right I understand what you are reffering to, but its called a phone plug? just havent heard that!

To be clear. Orange is great most of the time. But beware. This particular amp not so much.

I've got this bass amplifier, it's so meh.

i'll stick w/ Peavy
