Wow, out of all the Gundam RUclipsrs I've come across, you're the first I've seen to use decals and topcoat. It really shows that you're both a dedicated builder and a passionate hobbyist! Keep It up man!

Great tour! Nice idea to display real aircraft for sense of scale, I like to display rg pilot figures here and there for that, even unpainted they bring change 1/144 models impression.
I have one of those pilots on my OYW shelf but plan on spreading them out on the other shelves for frame of reference, especially on my late UC shelf where the kits get massive. I just need to find my pilot figures first lol. I've seen people paint those, it must take a LOT of patience to do so.

Those chinese panel liners that you have, I have 4 of them and they work great. You need the main solvent for them though as its going to be the medium of that colored one. As in solvent first to the panel line then the actual colored panel liner
It stresses me out too lol. This year was decently stacked for releases so a lot of the time I have to build, review and move right away to the next kit before decals and top coat to finish. I'll usually try to catch up 1 weekend a month and decal and top coat a bunch of kits but having 3 releases in December along with the holidays made it difficult. This gives Delpi and G Rework time to make a set of decals, I'm not opposed to making my own scheme or reusing decals from an adjacent kit but I like the added flare a specific decal set has for a kit.
Love the tour! I've used the Ikea billy bookshelves myself, but I do like your shelves better for kits. But I have to ask, where'd you get the Stand for the PG 00 Raiser? I've been setting up my 00 display and the lack of a stand for the PG 00 has been a pain.
I filmed this video twice. I forgot to get that in my second go (first round of footage got corrupted). I have my airbrush booth vent go through a hole in my floor and out next to the dryer vent. I replaced the plastic spray booth vent hose with regular dryer ducting and it worked perfectly. You didn’t miss it I’m just dumb and forgot it in my second round of filming.
I use a tamiya dust brush. but its unpreventable with the kits out in the open like this sadly. I did look into adding plexiglass doors and walls to these shelves but it's quite expensive to do :(
Have you tried latex liquid mask? It's a lady product for beauty masks. You might like it and you can't beat the price. Plus you can let your gal use it too. POINTS!
I melted my pg perfect strike helmet couple weeks ago lol... boiling helmet to close a gap ... didnt work, thankfully it comes with original sculpt too..
Sadly I can't so it's a catch 22, this setup is nice for those bigger kits like the meteor and penelope so it can hang over the shelves if it needs to, but it means a whole day of going through with the dust brush and dusting everything every couple of months. I'd love an enclosed cabinet but those are very expensive now whereas these shelfs are relatively cheap by comparison.
haha that's an oldie! I built my first kit in 2000 with a no grade 1/144 wing but I've built models with my father most of my life so it's always something I've been into. 2010 Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 releases and I got heavily back into the franchise after that collecting nearly all MSiA figures that I had when I was a kid. I wanted a Kshatriya to go along with the robot spirits unicorn and sinanju I got to fit in with my MSiA collection so this was technically the first Gunpla I built since 2000 and I got the Kshatriya in 2011. 2013 after building the RG Zeta I realized that NOTHING was to scale in my whole model collection so I sold my entire MSiA collection and switched to gunpla full time to start fresh. I painted the Kshatriya blue as a way to make a custom. These are water color paints I got from Michael's craft store lol, its very delicate, if I look at the kit it get's scratched. I retired the blue Kshatriya from my collection after I finished my resin build Kshatriya. Blue is very loose and floppy having been moved 5 times, it's not a very good build, even the sleeves markings where done with white out, not even paint. I came into this hobby from very very humble beginnings. Sorry if that was a bit long winded but it's really Blue that got me back full swing into this hobby of model making, so you pulled on my nostalgic heartstrings a bit haha.
that's annoying, I wonder what's causing it. My freedom isn't anywhere near a heat source or anything that would warp it like that, very disappointing. :(
How long does it take you to dust is all? XD the majority of my collection is in detolfs so those are spares but dust is crazy in my house for those unworthy of the glass

That's officially how it's pronounced lol. I only pronounced it this way for the video as a bit of trivia, I've gone back to the American way of saying ver KAH in newer videos. I'm not sure why K A is the official pronunciation, it just is lol.

Fairly new to the hobby, but I only buy the kits that looks cool to me, be it main character or just grunts. Do you like the design of each and every mobile suit, or are you just trying to get them all, and have a complete set? I am curious, because kits like the heindree's and the lfrith thorn gave me buyers remorse as soon as I finished them. And most of the zeon mobile armors are just ugly imo.
My main basis for collecting is to collect 1 of every HGUC kit and any subline that comes out after. There's about 260 HG mainline kits and I'm only missing about 35 of them, a lot of the ones on my list are incredibly old so it'll be some time before I'm finished collecting. I was fortunate to collect HG WFM as the kits released so I didn't have to worry about trying to find kits that are out of print. Going forward I'll collect as kits are released, and being a youtube reviewer it's in my best interest to cover newer kits...even if I'm not savy on the design. I've seen all Gundam Media up to this point except for some obscure video game cutscenes so I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to lore and things like that, a lot of the times I'll be iffy on a design from it's release images but after I watch the show I'll have a better understanding and appreciation for the design, Turn A is a perfect example. I never cared for the design but after watching the series I liked it quite a bit more.
