2023: The Azores: East End, São Miguel Island

The east end of São Miguel Island is the farthest from our hotel in Ponta Delgada, more than an hour drive away. It has very scenic viewpoints along the coast overlooking the vast Atlantic Ocean. The municipality of Nordeste, the biggest in this area, has a population of more than 5,000 people.
