Question! I inherited about two dozen Florida agatized coral heads (no geodes) that have similar exteriors to yours. Mind have lots of crystals showing in the dull grey host material. How can I make these shine? I’ve done acid baths to remove lots of recent rust, then power washed. All the iron-heavy soil they were found in is gone, but still dull and flat looking. Ideas most welcomed, any advice? (I’m thinking sand blasting?)

I work in this material, for many decades,,you said you have no idea what it is worth?, I'd say first this one is really rare,& a fine fine specimen,, several thousand dollars after you polish the cut edges, I suggest you also paint all the druzy, with several layers of nail polish,,then tumble the outside to a fine polish,,then soak in acetone to remove the nail polish from your druzy, or pack the pockets w/ paper medium, seal this with several layers of nail polish to protect the druzy from the tumbling process? Then with all the polish work done this will certainly be worth several thousand dollars.

@DigLifeCrisis Middle, TN. I cut a small one(still basketball sized) with a skil saw. It was solid but doesnt look nearly as good as yours because my 7 1/4" blade going around it full circle still would make it the whole way through so I had to use a wedge and hammer to split it the rest of the way. • @janececelia7448

Being an apex predator in the ocean shark meat is loaded with mercury and other heavy metals. Just so long as you don't eat a lot of it you should be okay.

If you do the math based on the population and population growth being that the population is growing faster than ever in history , we can go back to the beginning of earth and its not even one million years. Do the math and always use your brain first before you believe anything
