Aaravos might be walking the path of a monster but it were your actions that showed him that path in the first place were not they? All these centuries of suffering because you dared to judge a child for being a child and now that the truth is revealed you dare to try to make excuses for yourselves, justifications! What? You can not even be ashamed for what you've done?"

Second, he was directly responsible for the destruction of Katolis and didn't care for the civilians that were in danger. What he is saying is that current elves and dragons are not the same arrogant, self-righteoss, racistic, prejudical and callous 1s who opressed , looked down upon and hurt humanity, and who Aaravos conspired against. The current elves and dragons are the victims of the plots Aaravos cocked up to get back at their ancestors as much as all the humans he used as tools and instruments to achieve his goals. To Aaravos, all elves and dragons are all the same, no matter the era: arrogant, self-righteous and hubris-ridden fools. Like Ezran told him. He has been so twisted by his hatred and lust for vengence that he only sees the bad in the world, and refuses to acknowledge times and races have changed and that he is the only source of misfortune in the world. Honestly it could be argued he’s straight up lying here (I know he supposedly never lies but this kinda contradicts that). He says he’s innocent, but he was unable to see the map to the garden. So he recognized that Terry was needed in order to see the map, because he was innocent, while he himself was not. If he truly believed he was innocent, he would’ve thought that the map would work for him, but he expected beforehand that it would not work. Therefore, he acknowledges at the very least that he is not innocent. So claiming that he is here is a straight up lie
Well technically, Aaravos is a product of an unjust systems for whose sake his daughter was executed. And he blames the entire universe and the way it is ordained. That is why he calls himself innocent. Because he views himself as a victim of an injustice noone wants or can correct. You can't tell a lie if you honestly believe what you are saying is true. Even if it is false. At this point, Aaravos has been completely consumed by his hatred towards his kind and cosmic order, so he enjoys watching it all burn.
