I think this can be done with MLB. I think you start the season earlier, maybe a week or two. The All-Star Game is cancelled for the 2028 season. The 2029 World Baseball Classic gets integrated for one edition IN THE OLYMPICS for 2028, format and all. I don't think you do a full pause for the MLB teams though. I think during the Olympics, perhaps you do Exhibitions with MLB teams and Olympic teams - like Mexico vs the Dodgers. Or even get creative, like a exhibition game between the Yomiuri Giants vs the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park during that time. That way, Non-SoCal MLB Owners still make money via having unique one-time Exhibition games during the Olympics. Fans will get to see teams they normally wouldn't see play each other. AND we get a Olympics Baseball Champion on top of that? I think Manfred at least takes a very good and hard look at this, considering how well things went with the NBA and the Olympics and how it's grown Basketball around the world. Even a weird nerfed U23 format that Soccer does can work (each Olympic team is only allowed 3 players at or above Age 24, the rest have to be Age 23 or younger.)
