I believe in antinatalism because I view the act of bringing new life into the world as something that inevitably subjects individuals to suffering. Life, in its essence, is filled with pain, uncertainty, and hardship, and I question the ethics of creating beings who will inevitably face these challenges. Antinatalism, for me, is a stance that promotes compassion by considering the well-being of potential beings, and recognizing that non-existence may be preferable to the inevitability of suffering inherent in life. It’s a philosophical perspective that prioritizes the alleviation of suffering over the perpetuation of life for its own sake.

Great talk guys.. I think our ego can be our greatest enemy. We definitely need to shine a light of consciousness onto the inner critics we all have and challenge it.
This is discussed in John Kent's dissertation on the writings of Richard Rose, chapter 15. Rose called it the "Umpire," the same as Sigmund Freud's "ego." The approach then is that it is not your enemy, it is the embedded program keeping the matrix working. Take it as your friend, but that the true "You" is always watching it as it is watching "you."
Consciousness itself is the part of Source, that is dreaming of “subjects and objects.” Duality if you know” Becoming aware of this is freedom and it brings you out of the “victim” belief. If you know everyone and everything you see is what you are …you have recognized your true sovereignty. Knowing this I now see the true innocence of this experience. The one who seems to be doing insane things is caught up in the dream. The conditioning of the mind is for hiding reality. Everyone is looking for a sign from a God outside of themselves. Special favor, even just a wink as to the validity of their existence as a separate entity. The body is a very strong argument against reality. To transcend it and return home is possible. That does not automatically mean you no longer experience the body. It means you are awakening from the belief that it can offer anything of any value. Now it has become a communication device. It can now be used to that end - to the awakening of the dreamer. The dreamer is not the person. The use of the body for this purpose is now in the hands of that part of you that recognizes what is real and what is illusion. It is your higher self. It does not attempt to change the dream but it will begin “to show the way” out of the “Hellish” nightmare.

Bros and Sistas, we are spawned/summoned into this 1-way linear ride, propelled by "time". I always thought it was soooo limiting being stuck in a sort of Meat VHS of sorts. We can ONLY play at 1 speed which is the equivalent of a slow ass lifetimes' long car crash/train wreck.
Sleep paralysis and those voices/noises before entering in the sleep state, is totally normal, read Rob Monroe and Tom Campbell, that's how you enter into a lucid dream too. The noises you hear are your subconscious, nothing more. There are exercises you can do to enter those states, even sleep paralysis is great to enter a lucid dream. It's just the brain tuning into certain frequencies, but no other beings are there. I you are afraid and not keep your cool, that's how your conscious mind steps in and you wake up, you want to avoid that and keep watching. Entities are just dream entities.
This does come from what my mind gleamed from a school of thought. It has made more sense to me than any other I have studied. I hold everything loosely. It seems I am less serious about this looking, but I am more sincere in the looking.
The body can be victimized. But what you are in reality can never be made a victim. You are not the body. As long as we believe we are a body we experience ourselves as being victimized. It is in the mind where these changes are made. The changes cannot be made in the world we made up. We made it up through our beliefs. Heather, I wonder if you have ever looked into ACIM. I am nearing 59 years old and this subject has been a very strong interest that came up around my 13th year - and waxed and waned with religious studies…until a traumatic experience that seemed to have happened around 17 - 18 years ago. That event set a fire that has consumed my attention ever since at least 90% of it anyway. I found many useful and helpful spiritual teachings and teachers. I was ready to check out, delete, etc. Eckhart Tolle was huge help. I began recognizing the false sense of self in me, or as he refers to it, “the ego” Mike Faff, Living in the illusion, said something that I think was right on. This is not verbatim, but he said something like “Your beliefs are very important. The truth can set you free - but only if you recognize it as the truth. If you do not know the truth, your beliefs will be running your show.” I think now that the way out is the undoing of it. Not death. The body dies but that false belief will make up something else.
Science says if you can measure it and confirm this measurement (of whatever is being measured) through the senses (using equipment or other wise) - with the confirmation of the greater population as proof of its realty. This method says these things are “real” or “true”. The subject and object are considered separate. Yet, they are the same. They came from the same mind that made them both up.

I too have experienced so called“ sleep paralysis “ more so when I was younger .
