"25 euros I'll try it! I'll eat! YES!"
He understood it seemed expensive to you and offered the wine and the potatoes for free most probably.
I used to live just across the street. Crocodile meat of course is extremely rare in Greece so it's an odd choice but you got the Greek experience with wine, Greek music and a guy shouting "malakies" at the background, haha!

@EmekaTv Sorry for commenting in Greek , but i had to make fun of the sign on the restaurant's window with my fellow Greeks, cause it mentioned "traditional" crocodile .. There's no Greek traditional crocodile recipe. As the guy showed you it's imported and is anything else but traditional. The only way i can imagine they made it "traditional" is with the sauce. It looked like our usual kokkinisto which is usually made with more common meats like veal for example. Crocodile is definitely something we don't have in the traditional Greek cuisine.

That was an awkward and funny interaction at Fiskardo! There's no way it was 5€ though...he didn't scam you or anything. A portion of gyros on a plate can cost up to 8€; no way a rare meat like that would cost just 5 eur...a steak could cost easily ~15eur...so crocodile for 20, errr 25 euros isn't that surprising...not cheap by all means...but the portion seems generous overall, lots of pieces of meat right there.

Due to high cost rates as its a " gourmet" dish the price indeed is high but not as high as I would expect!! Thessaloniki is a great town to visit and to live!! How did you come to this conclusion? I never heard the chef saying anything related to what you said. On the cot, he was kind enough to recommend him the right drink for this kind of food (white wine).

He specifically said "We had to sell 1 crocodile and now we pay it more than we bought it" , you probably not Greek but you can hear it in the background at 11:38 and there is a lot more background blame , Also the way he looks at him when he ask what size portion is rude

@@Emekaiwueze Hello! As a Greek guy i can tell you for these plates you paid very good. Potetos and wine was ndot included in the price only the bread (κουβερ/kouver) which is about bread-water in these type of restaurants. Some times greek people when sees tourists looking like they have money they try to sell in higher prices (mostrly in touristic places and old aged people). But after all it was very worth and the owner seemed like he liked you (especially when he came to saw you the meat like a chef xD)Also if you liked that crocodile image eating fresh croc meat and not fridged for days or even for weeks. First, butter with bread it's not a think in tavernas. Also the price is different is you take away, lower than in the restaurant.
