Did it come that way when you bought the car?
I'm not sure if it's possible to remove it if it's welded on.
Removing the crash bar would be a roadworthy issue.
If you can find someone who will do the job, they might end up shaving down the crash bar a little; which should reduce the stock weight.
Have you asked around, how did you find out it was welded on?

The tow bar was welded onto the crash bar, it would be impossible to remove it without shaving down the crash bar a little in the area's that the tow bar was welded onto it.
It wasn't about reducing the stock weight by shaving the crash bar purposely.

Mazdas are so underrated. Like a old mazda 6 is like 500 quid second hand. There so reliable
Mps's sadly aren't bud. The engines can't handle the power and they break easily. If you're getting one you'l need a few upgrades, not really a problem if you've some extra cash left over and you live somewhere like the US or Australia where you can buy the parts off the shelf. I live in N Ireland, parts aren't as easy got for these, and there are no real experts on them because they were so rare. I had 2 of them that suffered catastrophic failure. Totally lost confidence in them after the second one shit the bed. Shame because they're awesome when they're running properly.

Have a BNRS3v2 with just about every mod in my 2008 ms3 for about 5 years now makes close to 400 on the original motor ..on E85.I love this car and dont think I will ever get rid of it lol

The mzr and Ford ecotech are essentially alike. The mzr was really more of a precursor to Ford's interest in intelligent awd and turbocharging sedans 😊

So I have a 2003 Mazda 6 it’s not the base model it has the Bose sound system an leather seats as well. 2.3l also but front wheel drive and I been looking to do some kinda up grade an I think I found it 🤘🏽🤤💪🏽

I got a Mazda 6 and I’m trying to work out how to put a aftermarket stereo in. How’d you go about getting that mould for the head unit?

Stalled it, not really shocked. Mazda’s Speed6’s have a tricky clutch imo. Get out of my little Lancer daily driver into my Speed6 and it takes me a bit to get back used to it...
I daily an MPS6 and my clutch skills have increased dramatically since buying it. I came from MX-6's which had the lightest clutch known to man so getting it home was quite the experience lmao 🤣
I agree, I recently bought an 06 Mazdaspeed6 and I'm still getting used to the clutch. I've owned and driven Nissans so this is a different experience for me. I still like it though
With those mods it should be more around the 380whp. With an s3 u can max out stock fueling. Is it not fully tuned yet?
Rather not push it, high km and what not. But with a 3 MPS instead of a 6 you could just about get the 380 wheel hp
I know of someone getting 380whp in a 6 MPS with similar sized turbo but he is on e30 or e50

Yes only the Mazda 6 MPS is AWD, every other Mazda 6 is FWD. The Mazda 3 MPS is FWD.

This is likely making more like 350whp, considering the aftermarket turbo with the front mount
Owner of the car here, it certainly wasn't beyond 300whp, 350whp is quite a lot for stock fuelling and that small of a turbo/small amount of boost :)

He's only running an S3, stock K04 made "290", but realistically it's gonna be around 250-265 mark. Especially with drivetrain loss of the AWD.

A simple modification that can be performed on a 2.0 engine is to get the head polished, ported, and gas flowed. Install a fast road cam matched to a few bigger valves. This in itself will give you a rev-happy Mazda 6.
Engine modification stages on the Mazda 6 can be divided into 3:
Stage 1 - Lighter flywheel, exhaust, remap, and panel air filter
Stage 2 - Fuel injector and fuel pump upgrades, polished and ported head, and fast road cam
Stage 3 - Competition cam, internal engine upgrades (valves/head/pistons), forced induction, and engine balancing

I go 2 mx5's 1 NA tuned 1 276WHP. I go a 6 MPS as family car and and A Maserati 3200gt. The mx5 turbo is the most extreme. The 6 MPS with awd is driving fast without shaking hands. And the 3200gt.... damn almost scary in 5th gear.

Well stock Mazda 6 MPS 260hp(EU) for example is not very fast, it's a fast car but nothing woow. I race against it with my tunned diesel Astra J GTC 2.0 205+hp stage 1 remap, full free flow exhaust sistem, bigger fuel pressure sensor, KN intake, AP coilovers, 9Jot wheels 20". I was on MPS ass all the time, in cornes and on straight 2meters behind it...If that MPS was tunned the story would be totaly different.
Yeah that's what being stock means. And their top speed is limited to about 240 or 250 kmh. And who knows if the mazda driver was full in.
