Most of us spent all our childhood days just playing naughty dogs crash series. With each release memories were born. Time catches up to us, the years pass by and we see our childhood get eaten up by new companies. We lost the one thing that CREATED our childhood. The fact that kids have missed this type of gaming and will be sucked in to c.o.d or other crappy games scares me. R.I.P Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot. We loved every bit of this! :) Post this to any Crash video
This game truly is good fun for young and old. It's easy enough for young folks and challenging enough for older folks. I just had to boot up crash bandicoot on my psx again. :D
This is the reason I got into gaming :) crash bash was the first ps game I played. So much fun. Pretty sure I played through wrath of cortex (my fave) like 20 times haha
I just noticed that in the pinstripe level, there is a picture of Dr Neo Cortex on the wall that closely resembles the godfather doing a couple italian hand gestures.
Anyone else notice how similar old school Crash was to Donkey Kong? Both games had world maps (at least Crash 1 did), both games involved collecting some kind of fruit and opening wooden containers (boxes/barrels), both games had evil brainwashed animals as enemies, both games used clever puns as level names, both games had levels where you're totally in the dark, etc. etc.
This is an old school game man! Loved this game.... one of the first games I had & its games like Driver (the first) and this one that bring back memeries Ah memeries.
ravenshoppe same here! That was the level I found really hard to get pass, though I could get to the level after that but always died there cuz I didn't enough lives I guess. And the round before the boulder one was hard too since it's easy to fall!
This was my first video game and i loved crash bandicoot from that christmas day. So big thanks too my older brother for buying me the original playstation and this game back in 1996
Pinstripe was my favorite especially in crash team racing beacuse of his black/grey car if i remember correctly. Such nostalgia watching these videos! ;(
@MilwaukeeFtw I'm a 90's kid, but that's how it is for every generation. Your childhood is special no matter what era you are from. What you grow up with will always seem better than anything before or after that.
ah good old memories, I remember playing that boss at 2:54 my cd was broken and everytime I beat him was like I lost and again and again I never past that point
@Kurasshu88 My question is what is so bad about drastic change? I mean, don't people want something new to play? I don't get the designs either, because aside from the masks and Tiny, most of them look very much the same with a few differences. I mean did people hate on Raiden's look in MGS4? Or Snake being old? Not nearly as much. The gameplay had good combat and the ability to control unique enemies. How is that horrible? Any other game with it would've been praised... Just saying what I feel.
@danielallen12 ;) i am just saying that thing, what any of us want to a new Crash Bandicoot Did you see the Crash bandicoot mutant ?? from Sierra only for the Xbox360 ??
@Slash Well, I personally recommend trying them. The demo of Titans shows very little of the game. And allows you to play as only 3 Titans, so you don't get the full scope of the game. I love the way all of the characters' new looks and most of their personalities. I'd like them more of they toned down the jokes though. After examining the cutscenes more, more focus on plot and less on comedy would've helped the stories immensely. And Mind Over Mutant has a few nods to older games here & there.
hearing this makes me happy that i still have a PS1 that works and hopefully will still work for a long time (god willing). so what do you think of the newest crash games? i love them all but the newset ones are my favorites.
@vgman94 I have CTTR and played the demos for CoTT and CMoM. I've even seen video walkthroughs just to see what they were like before-hand. They felt/looked really bad. Oddly though, I actually love the way Crunch and Nina look in MoM. Anyway, I don't believe anything in life is truly dead. Just lost or misplaced. And right now, I feel Crash Bandicoot is lost in the thorn forest. (Now if the characters still looked/sounded/acted the same, I would all ready have the games.)
The first two games were great on the PSX, especially with those bold colors. Lately, I've been playing my older games and my original PSX broke. I need to look for a PsOne or find an emulator that doesn't suck!
Holy crap, Ripper Roo was the hardest when I was a kid. Couldn't ever get the jump patterns down, but hey, I was little! And the boulder levels. God damn.
This is probably one of the hardest PS1 titles ever. I owned this game since I was like 3 years old, and I beat it when I was 16. But now, I gotta get 100% on it...
I love Crash Bandicoot, it was the first game I ever played and it was the best game I ever played, sure it has a couple of flaws but lets be honest, we had a great time playing it.
One time when I defeated Papu Papu, I was in his path where he fell over and I lost a mask. Also, Brendan O'Brien's voice actually fit the original Cortex.
freakin epic game!!!!! this was like one of the first games i got along with ridge racer :P glitch on pinstripe: u can hit him like 3-4 times each time he stops firing
@turkeycheck I like the Leisure Suit Larry games, Sierra made them. Although I never bothered playing LSL: Box Office Box because it sucks apparantly. But the old Leisure Suit Larry games are fun!
i always wonder where the doctor with the frakenstien bolts came from (Dr Nitrus Brio). I had Crash Bandicoot 2 not the first one and i never knew who that guy was that asked me to get the gems for him. and now i know which game Pinstripe and Papu Papu came from. thanks
one of the very first games i played when i was 4/5 :D Think i got stuck on the nitrus brio part though. The levels in the rain on the side of the building :/ When i get my hands back on my ps3 at xmas (student). Im going to complete this fo sho!
on pinstripe for his first half of life you can hit him multiple times as he goes across the room. i did it in order to beat him fast.. spin attacks were key
@sonicthehbodfighttek Ofc dude, this game was realised back on the good'ol years... of course you didn't have childhood at all... This was EPIC grafics and EPIC game at the time... and it still being EPIC from the first to the fourth
@GiGmartim Really? Well, if you ever think about it, please do. The games aren't bad. I mean renting it would at least be worth while. You played it at 6? I played Crash 1 at 4 (It was also my very first game).
Ripper Roo Always made me laugh
R.I.P. games like these. Growing up has never been so fun and memorable!
The 80's & 90's were the best years to be a kid. KIDS today are missing out on all the great stuff we had!

I was mainly into fightning games in the early-mid 90s but crash was one of the platformers I loved!!
YEEHAW!
I've still got my disc from 1997. I slapped it in yesterday in my PS1 and had a play. I love this game.
Thank god i held on to my old crash games these are the classics i love them :3
Me too. To think of how he's come a long way from being a simple (but very fun) platformer to cool and unique (unique as in the Jacking) beat em' up.
one of my favrouite games as a kid, I loved all the Bad guys
este clasico representa para mi unos de los mejores juegos que he jugado, que hasta el sol de hoy todavia no le he vuelto a jugar... XD !!!
crash bandicoot will never get old... im so happy to have it in my collection
this takes me waaaay back!
Wooow it's been a long time since I've been playiong this game!
this was my childhood, honestly I wish I could go back to those days )= god I miss the old crash games
I remember playing this when it came out, it was unreal how good the graphics were, I still think it looks good even today.
Still one of my favorite game of all time. Miss the good 'ol childhood days!
This game, was totally my favorite game when I was smaller.
I miss it soo much. Crash's eyes when he winks em. Aaah :(
This game truly is good fun for young and old. It's easy enough for young folks and challenging enough for older folks.
I just had to boot up crash bandicoot on my psx again. :D
This was the game back when I used to play it. Only 2 of the Bosses I remember fighting is Riparoo and Cortex. The other ones are a blur.
one of my favorite games of all time...i still play it
This is the reason I got into gaming :) crash bash was the first ps game I played. So much fun. Pretty sure I played through wrath of cortex (my fave) like 20 times haha
Cortex fight of Crash 1 had the most awesome scenery of any boss in Crash Bandicoot history
I just noticed that in the pinstripe level, there is a picture of Dr Neo Cortex on the wall that closely resembles the godfather doing a couple italian hand gestures.

the days when the boss battles were so simple.
love
Ahh I need this game again, I have 2 & 3 and Nitro Kart for the PS2 I miss my old collection..
@Ogasso i have played the tekkens, final fantasies, tomb raiders, crash bandicoots and mgs.... all awesome game series/games
Great memories with this game, i enjoy playing my PS1 more than i do with my PS3!

Crash Bandicoot was the first video game I ever played so YEAH I HAD AN AWESOME CHILDHOOD!
So classic... brings back so many memories. I wonder what the people who created this game and the following ones at naughty dog are doing now?
@danielallen12
;)
i am just saying that thing, what any of us want to
a new Crash Bandicoot
Did you see the Crash bandicoot mutant ??

Nitrus Brio's mutation gave me the WTF reaction when I was first playing, hahaha. Gotta love the constipated sounds he makes.
i use to play this game way back in first grade everyday was my favorite game too and i forgot all about that flying plank guy!
pinsripe iz the coolest boss in crash history! sucks hes in only original ctr and i heard something about him bieng in crash boom bang!
Hello, are you still alive?
Papu Papu was a funny boss when I was a kid too! :)
The childhood memories when it was like the best.
MEMORIES. Ripper Roo/Tiny/Cortex were BOSS. I remember playing all the Crash Bandicoot games......good times.
God damn.
@Ogasso
You missed the other two spyro titles :(
Ripper Roo was sooo annoying.
Glad I downloaded this for my PS3.
Even got that classic PS1 load-up sound :)
Memories.
Can finaly replay this game in a month..; can't wait :P
This was one of the first games I owned too. The christmas I got the psx I got this and ridge racer i think it was. It was some car game.
This is probably one of the hardest PS1 titles ever. I owned this game since I was like 3 years old, and I beat it when I was 16. But now, I gotta get 100% on it...

Is this the first game? Cuz I played nr 2 and it started with a falling Neo Cortex!
Wow this takes me back...
Ya!! I wish i still had a PS1 and all the crash games, they were so much fun :\
Cortex seemed so much more sinister in the first game. Now he's just silly.
@hairyburd i hear yea...i played everygame and everything and even had toys but i grew older but still love it.
freakin epic game!!!!!
this was like one of the first games i got along with ridge racer :P
glitch on pinstripe: u can hit him like 3-4 times each time he stops firing
I used to do the exact same thing at the end of the Cortex fight.
This and Spyro had some kickass music.
this brings me back
@turkeycheck I like the Leisure Suit Larry games, Sierra made them. Although I never bothered playing LSL: Box Office Box because it sucks apparantly. But the old Leisure Suit Larry games are fun!
i never did appreciate seeing papu's as crack... damn good game. i still have it, and i'm rather glad.
Miss this so much xD
Ahhhhh memories!! I want to be a kid again.
Crash bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot warped, Crash bash, Crash team racing... oh the glory days...
i always wonder where the doctor with the frakenstien bolts came from (Dr Nitrus Brio). I had Crash Bandicoot 2 not the first one and i never knew who that guy was that asked me to get the gems for him. and now i know which game Pinstripe and Papu Papu came from. thanks
@GrittySalt the are the exact same place if you look, just a different floor layout, And you think he'd fall of and drown with that straight jacket
what is that thing floating beside crash?
This game was my first ps1 game :D and still it's best game that i ever had :D
Ahhh, memories. Good times :'D
Why isn't there another Crash Bandicoot game? I spent my childhood loving this game.
one of the very first games i played when i was 4/5 :D Think i got stuck on the nitrus brio part though. The levels in the rain on the side of the building :/ When i get my hands back on my ps3 at xmas (student). Im going to complete this fo sho!
How can someone NOT like this!!!??? This was the best time of my life :D (almost)
when i play games today.. i always say "what happen to those times where you just have to jump on the head of the bosses or the enemies to win"
on pinstripe for his first half of life you can hit him multiple times as he goes across the room. i did it in order to beat him fast.. spin attacks were key
@UltraPerfectCell Nope, but I'm really into retro games so I might play it later
@sonicthehbodfighttek Ofc dude, this game was realised back on the good'ol years... of course you didn't have childhood at all...
This was EPIC grafics and EPIC game at the time... and it still being EPIC
from the first to the fourth

@GiGmartim Really? Well, if you ever think about it, please do. The games aren't bad. I mean renting it would at least be worth while. You played it at 6? I played Crash 1 at 4 (It was also my very first game).
@zeroireland You just stand behind the chairs and take cover from his bullets and then attack him when he's reloading.
