Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner have a history that spans decades. The exes starred on the hit reality show, Keeping Up With Kardashians, which documented their blended family. After 23 years together, they spilt. In the midst of going through a very public divorce, Caityn Jenner was also going through a very public transition. Upon coming out as a trans woman, Caitlyn wrote a book that detailed her relationship with ex, Kris Jenner. In that book, she made claims that would set Kris and the Kardashian clan off. It's important to note that Caitlyn Jenner's Transgender Guidelines may differ from others. Although she is comfortable referring to herself as Bruce when discussing her life pre-transition, that does not mean that others in the trans community are comfortable with that. Look up trans widows. I know a couple. Their former husbands were absolutely self absorbed assholes, and both chose late pregnancy as the time to pop the secret on their wives.
How else was he meant to have children and be a dad? Like any other man, find a woman, get married and have children... sadly not all marriages work out. 40% end up in divorce. Bruce was wrong for not telling Chrystie and Linda, but he learned from his mistakes and told Kris.
Even if .. she , Cathlyn , said she stopped her transition in part to spare her children… yet goes on to have 2 more?
Also she said she didn’t tell Her everything. It’s a lot of “in my mind”. Was it ever clearly stated?

One thing I will always stand by is that Kris has 0% responsibility for the estrangement between Cait and her children. Kris could have flat out told her “you’re not allowed to see your kids” and it wouldn’t have mattered because any parent who cared about their children would have said “they are my kids and no one is keeping them way from me and if you don’t like it you can leave”
The fact that even today only about 3 out of her 10 bio and stepkids willingly talk to her says A LOT.

I agree about the estrangement from the first four kids. My own Dad had another child after me (by a different woman) and I never met her til I was 19 years old and she turned 16 years old the first visit; because he said his Ex-Wife (my other 3 sibs Egg Donor) told him that he couldn't stay in contact with my sister because of her sketchy family... I told him we'll that was wrong of him to go along with that because she was his child and that's more than any wife or husband

Exactly! What an excuse! Even if Kris never invited his family he could invite his family or shut the whole thing down saying unless my family is invited then I don’t want a party for me! Who on earth goes without seeing their own kids and blames it on someone else??? So what Kris didn’t like it..,….he has free will and could contact them. These are all the excuses he made in his own head to ignore his own kids.
Kris saying she had no idea, seems far fetched to me. If Caitlyn's children noticed the changes, how could Kris say she had no idea?
Kris viewed and critiqued her daughter's p o r n tapes to figure out which one would sell the best. She has zero credibility and I'm inclined to believe she knew and is playing d u m b. Everyone isn't lying on her.

I think she's lying. There were rumours when some reporter got a hold of one of Bruces' suitcases. It was full of women's belongs.
If I knew about it, other people certainly did and Eben if Kris was in denial, the evidence was there.

If Bruce started to transition into Caitlyn by hair removal treatment, female facial surgery and started to develop breasts how could Kris Jenner deny she knew anything of it?
Caitlyn comes out and says she "downplayed" what all that meant.
Even on the later seasons Bruce was on the reality show, I noticed he was starting to look odd. I noticed this and wondered after just seeing him in a couple scenes on that show. A wife that is sleeping with her husband, lives every day with her husband doesn’t notice and ask about what’s going on. Not buying it!
Of course she saw that, we all did! By then, the whole family knew something. But do you think she could see the scope of insanity that would follow? How far he would take it? Can you imagine the difficult divorce. Also, he was speaking ill of Chris in public behind her back and even seemingly blaming Chris for their marriages' demise. Seeking sympathy. The marriage was doomed from the start. A marriage that is unholy will not survive. Period. He whined that Chris was so controlling. Let me tell you that if my man came up and said he wanted to wear my clothes and get boobs, I would be controlling too! Controlling and probably bidding farewell! Exactly. Foolishness. The average bra size most often purchased in the US is a 36B. You can't downplay this. Kris didn't care, because Kris planned on creating an empire and Bruce was going to play a part in that... And this secret actually gave her control.

As a straight woman, like Linda, I would be pissed if the man I planned to spend my life with and have children with never mentioned his gender identity until after we had kids. It's like, why did you waste my time and energy just to fit into society, not caring that he wasted the time she invested in him, only to learn she is his so- called beard. Also 100% agree that if I marry a man, there is a physical component to that, so just because he transitioned to be a woman, doesn't stop her wanting a man with the equipment he was born with.
Exactly. I think the only way I could stay was if we were elderly and sex was no longer an issue just companionship and friendship and parents. You can love the person but you can't be expected to change your sexuality just because your spouse changes gender. I would be pissed also. It wasn't fair for him to marry and have children with women without telling them his sexuality. That will certainly affect the relationship!
I entirely disagree. If my child's other parent was someone I'd been married to for decades, first of all, they wouldn't have had to hide anything from me, but if by some chance they had, I love a person for character, not gender.
This is just my personal opinion on the subject though. I see why others feel differently.
@Becky McDonald at that point, then there is no sexual component unless you are ok with being with someone who you feel no sexual attraction for anymore. If two heterosexuals can get over 1, not telling the truth about their true sexual identity, at that point, you are wasting the other's time unless you are clear up front

I, too, am a straight woman, but I would think that it took "him" some time to accept himself and that these proclivities spoke to a larger issue that back then couldn't be surgically "corrected". If that happened to me as his wife, I would just be surprised that I didn't pick up on it sooner or realize the seriousness of the situation
I think Kris knew the whole time, but she saw Bruce as a potential gravy train and thought she could control him. She got a lot of money and clout out of that relationship in the early years. Then when Caitlyn came out, of course she had to claim ignorance to save face.

I lost any once of respect for Caitlyn a long time ago because of the way she treated her children especially brody' not going to your own child's wedding is just so cruel I really feel bad for her older children
She also has a very powerful platform as a monied Republican and has had a lot of support in her transition, and yet I have not heard one peep from her in re support of the LGBQT+ communities. Maybe I'm missing it, though, as I'm a het, cisgender female who doesn't follow stars?!
@@carabiner7999 Caitlyn has been open about not supporting the LGBTQ community and has spoken out about the community, forcing their ideologies on others. Caitlyn is a Republican who openly supports Trump, although she has transitioned. Caitlyn does not care about the LGBTQ, most people in the community. Supported her because Caitlyn transitioned not realizing Caitlyn had different opinions than what they thought, that’s why you haven’t heard of any support to the LGBTQ community.

I have never deadnamed her and I know that she's had an incredibly hard journey, but hers was a walk in the park compared to many. Who is telling the truth? It's difficult to say since Caitlyn and Kris are equally dishonest, controlling, narcissistic, selfish, and unlikable each in their own way! I believe when Caitlyn was Bruce, he lacked the confidence to be assertive (other than in sports) and that's why he was attracted to and relied upon strong wives (Chrystie, Linda and Kris). I never even watched their reality show yet heard plenty about how controlling Kris was. It may have been her idea to have Bruce focus solely on their family (and that would NOT surprise me at all), however, Bruce had a voice and four other children. At the end of the day, his choices were his alone and I guarantee you if any of the first four have issues about his lack of parenting, they blame him, not Kris. So as to the question of who is lying about Bruce's transition, I'd have to say Kris is more likely to do so to save face.
Overall, I feel the real MVP was Chrystie! Without her love, emotional and financial support, Bruce wouldn't have made it to the Olympics. Half that medal is hers, imo She's the true unsung hero along with her kids who seemed to have been a bit more pushed out of the way than even Linda's children.

I think Kris might have known abt the cross dressing, cuz Bruce sold it to her as that, cuz back In the 90s no one really knew what trans was! Irregardless if u get in a relationship as a trans person and u lead ur heterosexual partner to believe that u don't want to transition, don't be surprised that u get served with divorce papers when u start transitioning
They both are fabricating their own “truth” in this situation, there’s so much he said she said that it’s hard to even comprehend the truth because it goes back and forth.
I read Linda Thompson's book (Caitlyn's 2nd wife). She pretty much abandoned her children before the Kardashians. And it wasn't because of her ex wives that she didn't have a relationship with her first 4 children. And she lived a few miles away. She treated the Kardashian kids wayyyy better than her own. It's really messed up. I personally can't stand her. Kris is more tolerable of the two though... lol
Thank you for commenting and sharing. I read Linda’s book as well and was shocked that Caitlyn claimed Kris kept her away from the 4 older Jenner children. She (Caitlyn) clearly stated in her own book that she wasn’t there for them prior to even meeting Kris.
I agree, she treated the Kardashian kids as well as Kendall and Kylie way better. She was definitely a more involved father with them. She even admitted that. They all did.
The Jenner children have recently stated that they are close to Caitlyn now and feel that she is a much better parent to them since she’s transitioned. I don’t know if they all say that but Brandon has publicly expressed this.

Then the fact that Linda and Christie would get together for the holidays for the.kids' sake... I give them a lot of credit. And Caitlyn couldn't bother to call or visit. It's just gross.
Breaks my heart seeing all the clips of Brody being shot down by Caitlyn. She can't even fully own up to the fact that she was a shitty dad to her first 4 children. I think Brody has severe daddy issues thanks to her.

I remember watching something where Brody talked about how horrible Kris was to him and the other Jenner kids. I’m not excusing his behavior, but I fully believe Kris made it difficult for him to spend time with his children.
Bruce was a terrible dad before he met Kris. He didn't want to support his daughter at all (wasn't present at her birth). I wonder if he did financially support his kids since we know he wasn't physically there for them. @@apriljefferson43
Why does Bruce keep being "surprised" by his partners' pregnancies? I wonder what really went through Kris' head, what she envisioned their marriage would be and what was in it for her?
Edit: it does look, like Bruce was in an abusive relationship. Being forced to cut contact with family members and having no control on financial matters are classic signs of coercive control.

Edit to add: that I watched an interview with Caitlyn’s Mom Esther. Kris was also interviewed. They were interviewed separately but in the documentary.
In that interview Esther said “we’re so proud of Bruce. It would be nice if he could spend more time with the family. It would be nice if he could spend more time with us, and this side of the family”
Right after, Kris in her interview said “Bruce doesn’t go back. He’s not the type of person to look back”. I was shook!
It was very sad and interesting to see/hear his mother pleading to have a relationship with her child and then cut to Kris saying “he doesn’t go back”. Wow

I definitely feel like he was swayed and even nudged to abandon all of his other kids besides Kris Jenners kids! I just think Kris was broke at the time and wanted all of the income to go towards her lifestyle although she did do an outstanding impeccable job at rebranding Bruce and making them all into multimillionaires. Very shitty how Bruce sort of just totally abandoned all his kids though. Kris saying that she took all of his paycheck from the show to pay for bills is absolutely insane, as if they weren’t publicly swimming in money and shit they didn’t need.
well no, she was saying both of their paychecks went into the same account (like most married couples) and that's the place all their bills and stuff came out and that she was made in charge of the whole thing on top of the actual full-time behind the scenes that that gave them that job and cash. Cait is crying they wanted a secret account and I guess kris to let the bills come out of her account while leaving her to deal with the entirety of the finances
Bruce was almost bankrupt when they married because of his wasteful spending so she had to be controlling when it came to money & that was one of the reasons why she became his manager & was always sending him on Speaking Engagements.
I find it disturbing that Caitlyn can't understand why Khloe was upset with the transition. Khloe lost her father and Bruce was the step father who essentially raised her. She was struggling with the "death" of Bruce and trying to put that in perspective. I think Khloe was the only person TRULY understanding the process. She was hurt by how easily Bruce seemed to throw away what, for her, was her father. I am still moved by Khloe's pain. She was grieving and doing so publicly and I don't think Bruce was emotionally there for her. He had already made the decision and he didn't realize that this young woman was laying her heart down and REALLY saying that she was going to miss HIM!!! So sad and I believe it shows the shallowness of his personality. Narcissists have a difficult time understanding deep emotions from OTHERS!

@@Living42 I don’t think Caitlyn has been very charitable to the 3rd wife either. Particularly in blaming her for their grown kids perception of him. Kris is many things but her split with Robert Kardashian was very amicable and she facilitated co-parenting until he died. She’s also pushed her kids to stay tight with their baby daddies. Bruce/Cait is the only person in the equation with a history of abandoning kids, demanding an abortion and even now hasn’t worked a strong relationship with the two youngest adult daughters. It’s a pattern with that one.

This comment is very well said and I personally think is spot on. I have felt this way since the Kardashians first came in the entertainment seen, with Kim and her ridiculous "leaked" sex tape. They all behave like entitled brats.
I used to watch the Kardashians and Kris treated Bruce terrible. One episode Bruce wanted to use his credit card that Kris held on to while Kris has a new $5000 dress to wear to an event - Kim, Khloe and Bruce pick up the dress and hold it hostage until Kris hands Bruce his credit card back. Bruce was always in trouble for something.
Yes, BUT there is a back story to all that. Bruce was broke when they met and a chronic over-spender. Kris fixed his career, paid the household bills, and kept Bruce from wasting it away. Bruce WANTED that initially and chose a passive role preferring to let the weight of business rest on Kris's shoulders. When people abdicate responsibility and take a passive role, control freaks can go too far. Yes... Kris took it too far. But Bruce wasn't communicating clearly either...asking for a bigger "allowance" or whatever. If he wanted full control of his share of the money, that would be normal and fine but when they divorced, he went back to wasting his money again in large part. Maybe he learned enough from Kris to invest better etc. But instead of taking his power back WITHIN the life he had... he threw it all away to start over very suddenly. I am not a fan of Kris or the Kardashians but I still found him very inconsiderate in his transition process/divorce/tell all book. I think many involved are narcissistic...so it is tragic all around.

Even back when the Village People movie came out, there were rumours about Bruce being a cross dresser. The movie came out in 1980, Kris and Bruce married in 91. So if pre internet a 15yo in Australia had read about the cross dressing in gossip magazines, how did Kris not know.
she said herself that cait made it seem like it was an old part of their life and cait mentions that kris used her managerial skills to eliminate the rumours too and that she never told kris the whole story, just that it was a thing she did before (seemingly not even correcting their breasts not being moobs). cross dressing and being a transvestite was a thing straight dudes became more open about doing around this time and sissification was a fetish known among adults too (dedicated clubs started popping up in the 60s for it) and since cait didn't act like a woman behind the scenes only occasionally cross dressed, it's not really that hard to believe in the slightest
She may have known that he liked to put on women's clothes but they probably still had a physical relationship so it may not have concerned her as much.
Idk if I just wasn’t keeping up with media at the time but I had no idea things were this in depth - I always thought Caitlyn’s transition was sudden and seemed out of the blue, random even but this video showed that even in terms of what the public was aware of at the time, that wasn’t the case.
I’m with you, I had no idea either until I did this video. Khloe K said on the Howard Stern Show that her father (Robert K) told them back when Kris and Bruce started dating that he “was a cross dresser”.

Yes agreed!! But I was also born in 2002 so I had no clue. In another life Caitlyn would have transitioned much sooner. It hit my like a ton of bricks hearing she had hormone therapy and other treatments in the 80s… it’s so so sad to know she had to wait another 30-40 years.
My ex was a secret cross dresser I met him we were both 35. He admitted he started dressing in his mothers clothes, full look like pantyhose completing a full look at like 8. You are born that way. Period. He knew since childhood my ex did.

In my opinion, Bruce was codependent and anamored by Chris's connections, her alpha drive, and her confidence and beauty, but realized looks and success can be deceiving when Chris was already building an empire of Kardashians and he was left by the wayside. They used eachother for money and notoriety
I don't think most people can appreciate that Bruce was truly between a rock and a hard place for most of his life. I was a dancer in the 70s and had several transgender friends. They were women when I knew them. Their main fear was that their original, biological gender would be discovered and they were right to be afraid. One friend faced a broken bottle at her throat. Another committed suicide.
In the 80s, things were starting to change, but just starting. It was something new. People didn't understand and they didn't accept. There was no language for gender dysphoria, the concept was barely there. How confusing it must have been, especially since he was attracted to women, including the women he was married to. Bruce the athlete was real and it's hard to disown a whole successful lifetime you worked so hard for.
So, yes, in hindsight, Bruice/Caitlin could have handled things better, certainly with their kids. But once again, I don't think most people can appreciate how hard it must have been to feel you're in the wrong body, try to be a success within society, when your inner self can never match the outside identity you feel you must maintain.

To my knowledge Bruce/Caitlyn didn't engage in anything that put anyone involved in danger of STD infection. Transgender individuals have been around since the beginning of time. You may not agree with transgender individuals, however they are everywhere. No matter who you share your bed with should be protected from STD transmission.

Yeah, abandoning the first four Jenner kids is pretty unforgiveable. I don't blame Kris for that... Caitlyn CHOSE to marry a bossy woman and be bossed around. But I still think Kris is lying about what she knew and when she knew it. Kris is a very skilled liar. Caitlyn has nothing to gain by telling the story the way she told it. Kris is doing damage control for her OWN reputation to prevent people from thinking she married an effeminate man mid transition and how that makes her look.

Kris is probably more prone to straight up lie (about anything), while Caitlyn has a loose relationship with reality in general due to her extreme narcissism. It's likely that Kris is being the least honest in this specific instance, but I don't entirely trust Caitlyn's recollection of events either. They are both vapid, self-serving individuals so not sure I trust either really. #TeamNoOne
It probably runs deep considering that she is refusing to take even a little bit of responsibility for that action, of neglecting her children. If a parent neglects their child, and the child wish to talk about that as an adult, the least that parent can do is to listen to them and also apologize. Jenner refused to do so, probably because the truth hurts and to shut the kids down was probably easier. Some people often wanna claim none of us know their family, which is true that we don’t know them as a whole and individually to a full extent, but it’s over a decade of their dysfunction being broadcasted globally- so people really can’t claim the public doesn’t know them at all. Enough has been shown, to know these people can’t have a calm and productive problem solving session when they start to disagree. They gaslight, deflect or attack each other instead of simply listening.
Caitlyn Jenner’s issue is probably rooted in deep shame, and instead of facing her shame around her poor parenting in many instances, she’s choosing to shut down the conversation and by doing so she’s shutting down their ability to connect. To listen, means she has to take in how she has treated her children over the years and also stepchildren. The way she spoke to Khloe was so sad to see, how she shared she no longer mattered to her and only Kendall and Kylie (even if she doesn’t seem to have much of a healthy contact with them either). Spending time with a kid because they share the same interest as you, doesn’t count as being present! A parent should be present no matter the child’s interest.
The Kris being controlling thing is true, we all saw it on the show. How she wouldn’t let Jenner even have access to their own money to buy some minor things for some electric toys while spending several thousands on a dress she would only wear once. Many viewers felt sorry for Jenner, because no ine in the house seemed to listen to them. Even still, we need to communicate our needs or move on and not sit and purge all of that years later in public while getting paid.

I do remember a few times on the show though, that a few of the family members said under their breath ”it might have been with Bruce”, when they spoke of lost underwear and dresses. Khloe said it once in Kris’ kitchen and they laughed. To laugh at such a comment means they had to know the context to know what the ”joke”.
Most of the Jenner children "Besides Kylie" have not altered their appearances so severely as the Kardashians. The Kardashians must really have such pain that they want to continuously change their appearances. Maybe I sense irony, but why does everyone around Kris want to change themselves so very much? Hmmmmm.
Lol it's very obvious what the difference is, the Jenner kids are not famous on any level near how famous the Kardashians are. I'm including Kylie and Kendall Jenner in the Kardashians, they've had work done because it's just what you have to do at their level of Fame if you want to stay there, the Jenner's, in my example, are his 4 children before Kris, they are mostly regular people with Brody being the most famous and yet it isn't even close still. Hollywood is fickle and if you could afford to fix everything that you feel could be fixed then you would do it too.

I’m more inclined to believe Caitlyn over Kris, since the big lies about the sex tape and Kris’s signature being on the release. If Bruce truly did have gender dysphoria for most of his life, that is sad that he had to wait so long to become Caitlyn because he was a public figure.
Most importantly I feel so sad for all the kids. His kids to his first two wives that he neglected, he says because he was struggling with his gender issues. I think also because he got involved with Kris, was raising her daughters and had two more. I feel for all the Karjen kids. Even Kim, Khloe & Kourtney who were raised by him, they would all feel betrayed and hurt. They would also believe their mother which would make it worse. So while Caitlyn and Kris are playing the blame game, the kids, even if they are grown adults, still pay the price.

I don’t think either of them are at fault. They could have quietly divorced and went their separate ways. The book was the end of any possibility of a friendship. Now it’s as if Kris was never married to them. Kris is in the public eye so what else was she to do except dismiss the whole situation.

I think Caitlin’s deceptive life had a tragic affect on Rob Kardatian. His biological sons were fortunate that they didn’t have to directly live her lie.

Kris and Bruce used each other. She saw him as a talent/commodity who fit into her plans for fame and fortune. He saw her as a strong, capable leader who could rescue him. In terms of which one is telling the truth about whether Kris knew Bruce’s gender secret, the overwhelming evidence is that she absolutely knew and is lying when she accuses Bruce-now-Caitlin of deceiving her. Let’s remember Kris is also the one who orchestrated and marketed Kim’s pornographic sex tape as part of her Momager plan to achieve stardom for them all. That isn’t to say Bruce wasn’t also a highly manipulative opportunist because he was. They deserved each other.

I do want to say that a lot of people try to mix wanting to wear make up and dresses means ur trans. It can just mean u like other clothing bc I personally don’t base clothing on gender but of course most do but it’s that bc we put so many emphasis on gender that people are forced to break out of whatever they feel stuck in

He has his story from a warped idea blaming her for reacting in the negative for his estrangements from his kids. He did that himself. He married 3 times and revealed this transgender issue after marrying these woman, having kids and not before he committed to them. He got what he wanted, now he’s the woman he pined for until he was 65 yrs old. You bet your going to have huge issues with this. Then you write a scathing book blaming the wife who stuck by you fo 22 yrs. Creating a business to keep the lifestyle you enjoyed., so you go get a job and keep some of it for yourself. Whining isn’t going to help you keep relationships now.

She totally ignores the question and continues her story about how she dressed in his moms dress puts on lipstick and prances around the apartment complex. That was NOT the question.

My spouse knew about their gender issues since childhood, but didn't disclose anything about it to me until after we were married. They even started transitioning and taking hormones for almost a year without telling me. I found the hormones on my own and confronted them about it. My son is trans, and I accepted that immediately and got him treated right away - I don't have a problem at all with anyone being trans...but, you can't help who/what you're attracted to. I was legally allowed to have my marriage annulled due to fraud. I think it's immoral of someone to marry and build a life with someone without disclosing something that is such an integral part of who they are. When they decide how they really want to live, it affects their spouse's life just as much as theirs, and changes the entire dynamic of the marriage completely - if there can even be any kind of marriage at all. I honestly feel angry, resentful, and devastated about it.
As far as Caitlyn herself, I don't have any respect for her because she's an entitled hypocrite & a liar. She parrots right-wing talking points to justify the disenfranchisement of other trans people , but doesn't apply them to herself. One example is that she says trans women shouldn't be allowed to participate in women's sports yet she played in a women's tennis tournament.
Yes, immoral to deceit others on such monumental grounds, can’t believe her self-importance to,after all the lies, putting so many kids under the spotlight with her book, tour, and her own reality show. She really stuck it to those kids.

If Caitlyn made any changes in her life it had nothing to do with her transitioning. Her relationships with her kids were poor because of her own actions and she did not take any ownership in those actions or apologize. Her relationships with her kids improved after she took responsibility for her bad behavior and apologized for it, instead of blaming others for it.
While Kris had her faults, she did make some attempts to work on their relationship. Caitlyn just whined and complained about their relationship and then separated from her. It ended the way it did because again, Caitlyn says some terrible things about Kris and did not apologize or admit she was wrong. I read the whole book. Caitlyn mentioned how controlling Kris was during the marriage. She said that Kourtney isn’t as beautiful as Kim was. She also mentioned that taking care of Kendall and Kylie was a way to distract him from transitioning.
