@@cogd1599 I think it was the platoon approach at third that had people worried. There’s just been so much consistency on third base being manned with Seag and Suarez. Although Garver is struggling the most, I think the mariners have a serious strikeout problem. I’m more worried about Julio! Don’t get me wrong he’s a slow starter, I get it. But last year it took up to the all star break for him to get going. In my opinion, Julio had a subpar season and still dominated in 2023. I was very hopeful he’d clean up the strikeouts, there’s no doubt in my mind he’d be leading the MVP talks if he did. But he’s missing, and missing a lot! And when he is making contact, it’s just not popping off the bat like normal. It sketches me out! But holy Moses I’m glad the pitching has come back and came with a vengeance! And this was a very scary part of the schedule! Reds, Rangers, D-backs and now braves. Rockies was a given. Unbelievable! Can’t take those for granted.
I really hope it’s not like kelenic last year where he starts out hot and then falls off and kicks a cooler pretty much ending his season
I think Munoz would've blown the save if this game were last year. Amazing mental toughness to recover from that error. He's always had the stuff, now he's got the mindset.
On top of that I don't think non mariners' fans understand that they still have Brash coming back and Santos.

Oh boy, oh boy... Where do I begin? Luis Castillo, Jorge Polanco... you two have saved my life. I was at work, sitting alone in the corner... hoping and praying for a miracle. The slight chance that we could get this series dub against the Braves. Then, a light shined on me. I looked at the notification that dragged along my phone and saw the two run bomb. I fell to my knees and cried out of joy-- out of pure bliss. Jorge, my glorious, beautiful baby boy... you saved me.

What more can be said about the rotation right now other than historical greatness. Braves fans are complaining about their great offense struggling as if they aren't playing the best pitching in the league right now. Garver yesterday, Polanco tonight. The bats are heating up.

Alot of Braves hitters have been struggling lately, Acuna hitting .230, Olson .220, Arcia .170 in his last 10 games or so, Kelenic like .200 in his last 15 games and Riley has been struggling all season so they are struggling

The bats arent heating up though. They've been pretty bad the last week or two.
All this offense needs to do is be quite literally AVERAGE. Not special, not elite, just AVERAGE and they will win a ton of games.

They were one game short last year of taking the AL WEST. This April has been a pleasant start we as fans knew they needed. More of a sigh of relief, 😅

Were only one month into Julio's 3rd season in the league, and in his first 2 years, he has only been a 2x all star, 2x silver slugger, rookie of the year, broke an almost 100 year old 4 game hitting record, and has been the Ms BEST hitter each of those years. But of course clowns like you will choose to forget all that and overreact. Smh
The hitting will pick up, April and may are tough months to hit in Seattle, the air is thick and the hitters tend to swing harder to compensate which leads to miss hits. It’s a mental thing some can adjust other can’t. It is what it is.
So happy to see the Braves take another night off.

Braves saying they their hitters struggling right now meanwhile Seattle’s hitters have been struggling for years. Terrible clutch hitting, 10+ strikeouts and some just ridiculous looking. Atl your bats will eventually heat up. Right now it doesn’t help you are going up against elite arms in this series. Seattle needs consistency with their scoring. 3-5 runs could do it with their pitching. Hoping for a sweep this afternoon against the mighty Braves. Let’s go Ms!!

I don't know if it was Nitkowski on the Braves broadcast, but hopefully whoever it was doesn't make the same mistake of pronouncing Acuna's name as he did Munoz at 8:33.
I like how Servais is being aggressive in using Munoz to win a series. He is using him more often in multi-inning games. The odds favor the Braves in game 3. Hancock has been good, but Chris Sales is a more accomplished arm. The M's have plenty of rested bullpen arms if Hancock runs into trouble. Servais aggressive move to use Munoz in a key spot to win game two makes sense.

If I were Jerry Dipoto I'd still be looking to make moves. Why not ask Baltimore about Austin Hays? Solid bat, great defense corner outfield where you're ok but still weak. The Orioles would listen for a reliever wouldn't have to be someone great. Guy was just an All Star in 2023.
Umps must pick and choose when they call runners out of the baseline. I've seen some absurdly bad calls because of umps being too literal in regards to a runner going down the 1st base line. Yet the Braves runner in a pivotal point of the game in the 8th, never once placed even a single foot into the runners lane while going to 1st. Munoz threw it away. Not sure why it's sometimes called and other times overlooked
Seattle could really use someone like Luis Arraez. Their starting rotation is probably the best in MLB and their Bullpen is probably top 5. But they have no real offense. Arraez could really help turn their offense around. Sincerely a Braves fan.
What's going on with Acuña? What a difference from last year. Really, the whole Brave's offense is really struggling.

Well another tough loss. Comeback effort fell short and for the first time this season the braves have lost back to back games. Thought we could return the favor from the first game in the series but tough luck and the bats remain a little cold here. Still early in the season so no need to worry a ton, just got to try and avoid this sweep. Sale will be on the mound tomorrow, hope we can get out of here with at least one. #ForTheA

I was talking about how Julio was finally starting to hit the ball good again but after this series he’s been awful
Braves hitters have done nothing for almost a week now. Cleveland shut them down and now Seattle is shutting them down. Think the braves have had 1 homerun in the last 6 games. Braves hitting coach needs to figure this out and stop these double digit strike out nights.
Seattle and Cleveland are two of the best pitching teams in the league. Braves will go back to mashing soon and will still be a 105+ win team. Their real test starts in October
@@jaredcarrick3468 That's what has me worried, the Braves have gone through these intense hot and cold streaks since the WS win in 2021. Just look at the the last two years of playoffs where the braves got beaten in round one both years by the same team with an average of less than 6 hits a game and averaging 2 runs a game. This is a long standing issue of the Braves struggling to beat good teams. Who cares about 100 wins against mediocre or average teams if you can only win 1 playoff game because the bats went silent again? This is just looking all to familiar
