I want to learn how to install VPS with multiples WordPress installations, but locally on Windows. I do not have extra money. It is the right video for my purposes ?
Not sure how to answer your question but one thing I noted is that you can have multiple Word Press installations on the same machine I think you will have to have a separate network card for each WordPress connection. Good luck with this.
What is the specs of your host machine? Is it a server or normal desktop? I have a laptop with only 8gb on windows 10. Cannot operate more than 2 vms as memory is low. Thank you.
To see what will run you will have to add the RAM of the host machine + the RAM of all running vms. In your case they should add up to be not over 8GB of RAM. My host machine was a desktop with 24GB of RAM
Mike, I don't have a Windows machine to try logging into the server with. I have Ubuntu 24.04. When I try to log in it tells me permission denied. The password is correct. Any thoughts?
@@pablo-codes I figured it out yesterday. It was a simple thing but not one that was clearly defined. I did a step backwards. I changed my adapter to bridged but was still using the wrong IP, AKA the NAT address.
No you can use a different virtualization platform. Also the steps are for VirtualBox 7- I've installed servers on earlier versions of VirtualBox without any problems but the steps might appear a little different. Sorry about the late reply.
If you are on a different LAN you could use a bridged connector. If you are trying to connect from the internet you could use port forwarding or use a something like dyn.com to help make the connection.
