Hello friends, Thank you so much for watching my Astrophytum collection tour! I hope you enjoyed the video. My passion for these incredible cacti runs deep, and I’m always excited to share my knowledge and the beauty and variety of Astrophytum with everyone. Which of these specimens do you like most? I hope by making this video, you'll buy and start collecting Astrophytum.
how many asterias!, the purple skin, the variegated, star shape, the multi-headed and even a multi-rib with 13 ribs...wow I could cry💖 the repotting of my young ones went well, I only lost a few, the 2 special ones are alive but I notice that the bicephalic one is having more difficulty than the Siamese.
I also love the 13 ribs, and I cannot wait for it to grow so I can pollinate it. That’s nice to hear. Maybe it is still adjusting to its new environment. Thank you for watching!
@@theplantprinceph with multi-ribs I had only seen a couple in photos because they are so very rare, I hope they bloom soon for you, can I ask you a question?, last May I bought a really strange asterias, I did a lot of research but I didn't find anything similar, have you ever heard of the astrophytum asterias f.inermis, it is very strange, it looks like the wild ones, it doesn't have trichomes and the areoles are very small, the color is very orange, initially I thought it was due to a sunburn because it is mistreated, instead it is its color, it is very flat and tends to sink into the ground.
I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I also love watching other people’s collection since it inspires me. Few years ago, I started with inexpensive cacti, then began propagating and selling them. The money I earned was used to buy better specimens.
Hi sir kim, i live so much your plants so nine to see 😍. I love to have some like yours. I am just new. Do you sell seedling. 🥰 i love to buy from you.
I have a small purple skin and I'm waiting for it to grow so I can use it for breeding. I also just recently bought 3 more purple skin. I used to have a variegated purple skin, but I sold it in November 2022. I still haven’t had the chance to buy another one, but hopefully in the coming months, I will be able to acquire one.
I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and anxiety disorder, and no one was taking care of cacti and succulentds during that time. Most of my Aloes and soft succulents also died that year, and it was sad to see my cacti and succulents wither away, so I sold most of them. A few cacti were left, and I'm glad they have survived until now. There were times that in a span of 6 months, I haven’t checked or watered them. I returned to the hobby because plants make me happy. I missed repotting, watering, making videos, and learning about plants. So, when I started to feel better, I decided to get back into the hobby.
Baby shampoo! 🧴 🌵 I learned something new. I really enjoyed this video as I am not familiar with the ID of these Japanese hybrids. Thanks for making this!
I learned that trick from a Thai collector. He uses baby shampoo since it has gentler and milder natural ingredients compared to other shampoos or soaps. Although nowadays, some plant sellers here have formulated products specifically for cleaning the hair and specks of Astrophytum. There are also products designed to keep cacti like Gymnocalycium shiny. These products remove water stains and dust, while also protecting them from pests. East and Southeast Asians are definitely addicted to Astrophytum and Gymnocalycium, and most are very meticulous about how they look. I am glad you enjoyed the video. I also had fun making this. Thank you for watching!

Hi, I've been wondering if I can put my gymnos and other cacti (mammillarias and astros) into a rain or shine setup? Would that be okay for them?
Face reveal boss Plant Prince hehe
Only thing missing is Purple Skin and Purple Skin (red) variegata
I have a small purple skin and I'm waiting for it to grow so I can use it for breeding. I also just recently bought 3 more purple skin.

Hi Kim , do you sell some of your collections?
May I ask why you stopped collecting cacti in 2022? And what made you return to the hobby last year?
I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and anxiety disorder, and no one was taking care of cacti and succulentds during that time. Most of my Aloes and soft succulents also died that year, and it was sad to see my cacti and succulents wither away, so I sold most of them. where is the Hanazono?
Unfortunately, I still do not have hanazono specimens.
