Sorry guys - made a couple errors. This was originally titled The Summer of 1984. The ads are actually from 1986, and I've updated the title accordingly. Also, this video ends at 13:22. I accidentally included about a minute of nothingness at the end of the video, ha! Of course, some of you may like the dark nothingness. You're welcome :)
5:06 There she is... Beverly Sanders! We didn't know her name at the time, but we sure recognized her face and voice, as she appeared in a ton of commercials in the 70s and 80s. :) 10:51 a nice shot of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco... used in a lot of commercials, TV shows and movies.
Another gem, Dave! Btw, hosiery ads were everywhere in the 80s and early 90s; say what you will, the model's were attractive and the ads were often inventive and told a mini story with a jingle - completely unlike all of today's ads. That's why they are remembered.
About that commercial, I just hope they don't have to worry about making a non brand Covid 19 vaccine for us. Sorry, I'm from Europe and my humor is sometimes dark.
What was the name of the movie that was shown on NBC that night? 1986 was also the year that NBC was bought by GE and lasted 25 years until it sold it to Comcast
