I read that it was to scratch on the door until they were let in. You weren't allowed to knock. I assumed that the fingernails were to scratch their heads under those wigs, but oh well.
Because it's a copyright violation; that's why the music's been changed to try to sneak around the copyright bots on RUclips. Anyways, these clips are years old and people in the UK can see the whole show.
I read an explanation given by another QI uploader and it was because the BBC pays a copyright fee for some of the images displayed behind the panel. If an uploader used those images for a UK audience without permission or paying a fee then they could be sued for copyright infringement.
The thing I love about QI is that it makes you realize that in ancient history, people looked at the world in completely mad ways. What the hell is "personal distance" and "intimate distance"?
@@Christopher_Clark now you're gonna comment something along the lines of "what a childish response, it just proves you didn't understand it" like sure thing bud, whatever lets you get to sleep at night the fact is, I've got far better things to do than explain your own comment to you what an idiot
"No mum".
Theo's a good sport.
Sandi is both extremely intelligent and adorable
I just listened to her episode on the Desert Island Discs podcast- she had quite an interesting childhood/ parents/ upbringing. I like her even more.
Couldn’t agree more, she has revitalised the show. There is such a fun atmosphere now.
Eh.
I have a real crush on her!
She seems like she'd be a lot of fun to hang out with.
Why did Louis the 14th make his courtiers grow their pinky fingernail? Please help me get Alan’s answer out of my head!!!
To scratch at a closed door seeking admittance. No loud knocking. 🇬🇧
Watching this in 2021, the first four-ish minutes w/ the personal-space gags especially out in the audience, **sniffle**
It's like a QI appetizer. Leaves you wanting more! Thanks...
Allans right symmetrical face looks exactly like Henning Wehn
Mitchell's reaction at 9:30 - priceless!
Yeah, his laugh at 9:40 is giving me life
@minlokao3608 he doesn't laugh that often but when he does it is a wonderful thing.
I love Susan calman and that segement of her having a wax made me laugh so hard. Zoe's comments only added to it.
David visibly squirmed when Sarah mentioned her husband’s eczema 🤣🤣🤣
",,,unless we are transporting tarantulas,,," -too funny!
Sandy's son "I... help. pls. Pls help."
Just the way he says "no Mum" when she says she doesn't know him is hilarious. He has obviously inherited her comic timing.
I love Sandi so much! That woman is a treasure! 😂😂😂
9:41 first time ive seen david genuinely lose it lol
He has a few times on Would I Lie To You.
Utterl6y simply brilliant. Has to be looked at , the right angle of British tv. Thank you Sorry I have cteracts .
I quite like this version of the theme.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Alan looked like Cher's son in 'Mask'....
🤣 Yeah: Rocky Dennis
thanks for this. Sundae was a hard starter, this def took the edge clean off.
What kind of sundae did you have
@@waynemarvin5661 clearly not a very good one....maybe no cherry on top🤔
Watching in the UK, Ha! Yuck Fou.
Unironically the two versions of symmetrical Sandi both look like her when she was younger 😂
Thank you
'The Macklesfield'
Must have been the same person laughing about 30 seconds after their first laugh... how appropriate
"Maybe that's how they got crop circles?" Lol.
Thanks!
Didn't realise Alan actually has a good side
So,why did the courtiers of Louis XIV have to grow a fingernail?
Tap on his door gently rather than knock
I read that it was to scratch on the door until they were let in. You weren't allowed to knock.
I assumed that the fingernails were to scratch their heads under those wigs, but oh well.
Cocaine scoop!
I love it wen sandi gets too close
Why can’t the UK view this?
because the bbc more actively make copyright claims on things in the uk than in places where they dont have a market anyway
Because it's a copyright violation; that's why the music's been changed to try to sneak around the copyright bots on RUclips. Anyways, these clips are years old and people in the UK can see the whole show.

I'm in the UK and I'm viewing this.
Alan looks like James May 9:06 😂😂😂
Which is playing in the UK...
Why non-UK?
I wondered the same thing!!
Too short!!!
thats not her fault, lanky!!!
Really no need to put non uk viewers in the title to get uk viewers to watch, it QI well watch it anyway

@@alert.272Clearly not, since I'm in the UK and can watch it. Or the region lock broke. Idk
Yes but you’re British and good at following rules right?! 😘

Ladies; keep ur "landing strip"..😵💫
Yet again Alan Davies resorts to making loud noises in place of comedy.
He's got a lot of previous form there!
