    Josh is such a cool guy .. one of those Minds that understands things that seem so complex to a different kind of mind .. & yet is genuinely humble about it .. I keep asking him to make the best Wah pedal .. I now have 6 .. 3 name Brands & three on multi Fx units .. & none of them are perfect .. each has a limited use for specific sounds & yet essentially mostly an empty box .. Gr8 fun shows he makes too ..

    I've got a box full of pedals sitting on top of my amp, and I hardly ever use any of them. I've got a load of EHX, Electric Mistress, Holy Grail, Memory Man with Hazarai, I've got a Cry Baby, I've got a Marshall Supervibe Chorus pedal (I think this was my first, thinking back).
    They sound good, there's something about the simple clean or distorted sound of the amp that I like.

    Just. a suggestion . Maybe some small amount of sampling of products featured in your videos and when you have guest musicians especially when they bring their guitar let them play at least a little sample of what they do .
    Otherwise everything is great and wish you the best .

  • @michaelangeloh.5383
    @michaelangeloh.5383 5 лет назад +1

    "People need to stop buying new things." - While I agree to some extent, when speaking of pedals in particular I think that's not always "possible". And by that I mean that sometimes (or more often in this age of nostalgia) companies will do like reissues of certain products that might be just re-made new products that already existed decades ago, but in effect they're cheaper new than the old versions that people sell for way more just because they're old. - Perhaps people need to stop overpricing things as well... Money needs to roll, not be held back or impossible/unreasonable to spend.
    Besides, you can also waste a lot of time searching for the things you want, while a store might just have that thing available immediately.
    But I will agree with the "anything goes" philosophy. I definitely don't feel too good to try old or used items, that's actually exactly what I have been doing. The vast majority of my stuff is used. But I will tell you they were mostly a hassle to obtain, so I'm always happy when I can afford to buy a new thing and obtain it quickly.

    This is why I appreciate Mary because she lets her guests talk. Josh is also such a decent bloke for his sacrificing his own immediate sales for the sake of building a good solid base by being open, honest and just a simple music lover and gear nerd. Buy that pedal even if it costs you a dollar. Hell yes, that's how I started buying my pedals and I still buy mostly used and a ton of vintage. But I also throw Wampler and Josh money because they are dudes feeding families and creating jobs in their home towns. Real jobs, not crappy slave labor in SE Asia.

    This was cool, really enjoyed it. I didn't really know about JHS pedals aside from one or two videos I've seen with Joshua. The Silvertone 1484 was my all time favorite amp for distortion sounds that I've played so far, so seeing that they've made a pedal to emulate that sound is really awesome.
