Gav. This is a really good idea for a series of videos. Music, Film and Books all together. I really like the various film adaptations of Stephen King's novels but I must admit I've never read any of the books. Look forward to the next one. Cheers Mike 👍
Cheers Mike ! I’m really glad at least one person enjoyed this as I was not sure if it would appeal beyond my own brain ! Carrie is a good book to start with as it’s really short ! Have a great Xmas 👍🫡🇬🇧🎄
Great topic Gav. I used to read a lot of Stephen King books back in the late eighties and early nineties and I remember there were always a lot of rock music references. I actually did an English Literature degree, and I've got this really clear memory of finishing my last exam in the summer of 1992 and immediately heading down to Waterstones to buy 'The Shining'. 😁 I've read quite a few of his books but not Carrie for some reason; in fact I'm not even sure I've seen the film. I actually read The Hand Maid's Tale this year, disturbing book that.
@@jamesgriffithsmusic cheers James- only saw the TV show of handmaiden tale and not an easy watch - Carried is a great read- and nice and short ! Have a good one and thanks for watching! 👀 👍🫡🎄🇬🇧
This is a very interesting idea. I have never read a single Stephen King book, but I have seen many adaptations. It looks like King is a Bob Dylan fan.
Cheers Brian ! That’s 3 people who might watch ! Yep be interesting to see who he quotes and references as it goes on - I know he’s a big AC/DC fan ! Thanks for watching
@ well I’ve read four books in 6 months so it’s a long term task ! A lot of the references are in the text but not covered in the front pages copyright stuff so it’s quite interesting- gave me a good excuse to re read all the books ! 1 down 73 to go !
@@gavaxemanspins It’s such an inventive idea and allows you to express your obvious passion for books (in particular, the work of THE master of horror - Stephen King) alongside your deep love of music. Not only that, it’s excellent for long-term content creation. I’m really happy you are embarking on this 😊👍 Best wishes, Christian

@@christianewen3227 cheers Christian ! That’s at least two people who might watch it !
@@gavaxemanspins I reckon this will do well, Gav! It deserves to, as it’s a great idea and fuses together music and literature!
Best wishes,
Christian
