Who said that??? Every year they have been the favourites with every book maker and almost every pundit and social media channels. @@1987simple1987 I think you're wrong because Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal have a much bigger fans hence more pr and hype for their players. If you run polls in the media among fans you can get majority to admit Nuñez and Hojlund are better than Haaland or Mainoo & Rice are clear of Rodri. The media won't tell you the reason Klopp is apparently better than Pep is because he coached Liverpool (the much bigger club). If he was in like a Chelsea or Newcastle and won the same absolutely no one will even entertain that. A Ten hag is also just one PL title from overtaking Pep, just because of that PR. Playing for those red clubs make more hype for your players. Same thing happens to the likes of Spurs & Villa who also have lesser presence in fans and the media. I think its fair though but wonder why y'all still blame "oil money" if your players are supposedly better and dominate even City's combined xis
As great as City have been, players like KDB, Bernardo Silva and the like are past their prime, Ederson will probably leave and Haaland won't get the service he's used to. Arsenal will only strengthen. Which means an already narrow gap will probably close.
As a city fan, the only way you beat us is to be 10 points ahead in new year bare minimim

I would much rather come really close to win the big things (PL and CL) than winning just something, like the carabao. If we were to “just” win the carabao we would still need to realistically compete to the end for PL and CL
What does coming close matter? If you not winning it, it doesn't mean anything. It's just saying it's a step closer. It's not like you haven't come close to the CL before and what happened then? Faded the hell out. You have to demand more. There has to be an expectation from a big club and the fans to say we must win it all. That close BS isn't enough anymore. It's time

I want our club to be a regular in big matches. As much as winning the title now would be huge, building for longevity is even better. I want us to compete with European giants every year.

I am Liverpool supporter and I feel like arsenal is gonna win it.
I fancy Arsenal to win it this season, MC were close to winning nothing last season, they're past their best and were spanked by a weak MU team in the cup final, Arsenal are going upwards. They could do with a forward though, a top forward and I can't see them being stopped. MC and them should be the top 2 by a distance but I expect an improved Chelsea and MU, although not sure about Chelsea's manager.
Arsenal can't win trophies. They have a mental block. Weak mentality. Another trophyless season I think. Villa will be good again and improve, City will probably win as they will make more signings to a team that's already the best, United will improve, Chelsea not sure. Could be a tough season for Arsenal. You don't win a league with Jesus and Havertz as your strikers

Arsenal are a KDB less City and 2-3 players away from being the favourites for the Prem. Genuinely think theyll do it this year the players are hungry already going into pre season and indvidual players like Saka have improved considerably
Saka played worse last season than the season before that, if you also take away his 6 penalties his numbers are bad.

Surprised the court case hasn't factored into their thinking either. It's happening in Oct/Nov and if goes badly for them, could derail them...if they win, could be good for them.

i dont think its a matter of city dropping off. I think Arsenal will be the better side this season. the proof is in how arsenal gained 5 points from city last season. Now Arsenal need to be better in getting more points consistently. in league performance arsenal will be the better side. However, Arteta has not mastered cup competitions and i dont think arsenal will do any better in the champions league.
