I’m confused by the refill-thing🤔 wouldn’t it be way less harmful to the environment if you would stick by buying a new glass container if it’s empty, instead of buying plastic refill-container that goes into the glass container everytime? What’s the point to have refills if they produce more trash than buying it new again?
Because shipping glass uses so much energy due to weight. Neither option here is actually sustainable. One creates a problem associated with getting the product to you. The other creates the problem at the end stage of the product lifecycle. The actually sustainable option is plaine products. Lighter aluminum packaging that is sent back for refill. No plastic
