Lady "Are we going out the other side", Barry "Yes Please" so funny love your humor. Always learn so much from watching your video's, have to get my daily dose of Barry in.
hi Barry. met your brother today in enfield and got into a chat about santa and he mentioned you saying you look like him and I said I'd look you up. Now I'm sure you are the real santa, off duty :-)
The Welsh breeds are a sturdy lot . My mum's friend had a Welsh Mountain pony such a friendly gentle mare and later another one which was a Welsh cob who was super alert and weary of new people. But i rode one in a riding school laid back she was.
What a lovely little pony! Great video, I always look forward to seeing the latest videos that you post. I also drive an up to height Welsh A as a single, and was wondering how you found the Glinkwoski carriage for weight for Bob? I was wondering what model it was, as I am in the market for a 4wheel carriage (to take my children on picnic drives as currently can only fit the two smallest in my sulky) and there is an importer of Glinkowski carriages here in Australia.
Thanks Jules; he is a cracking little chap! The carriage we have him in here (the galvanised one) was custom-made for us, so I don't know how it would relate to the other models of carriage Glinkoswki produce. We like the vehicles; we always have disc brakes front and back, fittings to go from single to pair (and in this case three-abreast too) plus extras like lights and indicators, so I'd imagine it would come out slightly heavier than the same size "standard" carriage. But in terms of stability, durability etc they are great (we do use them a lot, often multiple times a day and over all different terrains) and they roll along easily. We purchased ours from Hartland Carriages here in the UK. The route shown at the start of the drive does have some fairly steep hills but Bob coped fine with them (with both Barry and Jan on board). However there's more than just the carriage weight to take into consideration when deciding what a pony can pull - the best way would be if suppliers offered a "try before you buy" service!
Thank you so much for your thorough reply, it is much appreciated. Discs brakes back and front are an extra, but sounds worth the while. Yes, try before you buy would be ideal. My sulky was purchased from a lovely woman who let me bring my pony and put him to it when I inspected - made me confident to part with my money!
Actually he is a nosy Parker and always has his nose down someone’s drive to see what’s going on, he’s had the dentist every six months and nothing has ever been wrong
Hi this is my pony, I have owned him for the last five years, unfortunately the person who had him broken didn’t get on with driving, with me he has done just about everything both singles and pairs, shame you can’t post a picture so you could all see how white he now is
Welsh Section A…. The most beautiful ponies in the world. ❤❤❤

That was a nice progression, of coaching and then going to supervised solo driving.
What a charming little thing!!!

Has he a tooth bothering him? Veering his neck to the left all the time seems an uncomfortable way of going.
