@@rosemartine actually they don’t. The original recipe is like a salad. You don’t have to cook the onions and peppers and you just add vinegar, lime juice and mayo to taste with salt and pepper . The taste is totally different. I made it with the cheese and without. Hands down the, the authentic version is without cheese
Food is art and if you follow Dorothy she is a good cook, what works for you might not work for her and we have to learn to accept each other's chouces of ingredients.
